  1. Has anybody been to Complices in Bogotá?
  2. Hello: I'm heading south to Bogota in late February 22 to celebrate my 57th birthday and meet some cute guys. How are things there since the pandemic began? I live in Canada. Cheers ... Ojibear
  3. desafino has just created a new thread titled - AM: JFK-BOG RT Biz Class from $651 - in the Premium Fare Deals forum of FlyerTalk Forums, which you have subscribed to. This thread is located at: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?p=33800053
  4. Hi Folks: Getting out of the heat and heading to Rio. Ticket prices are very wonky now, seeing one way prices from 350-3500 USD at different times of the same day or for one day, but not an adjacent day! Did not find good fares to Fortaleza, perhaps due to connection or airline partner issues. Did see some reasonable non Rio or SP fares, but only to Belo Horizonte. It is a bus ride from BH to some charming Colonial cities. FWIW Bogota, Panama City, Ecuador, and Peru had good fares. Montevideo via Copa and Buenos Aires, Santiago (via multiple airlines) were a bit pricier vs Brazil, but not super high. Cheers.....
  5. I am hoping to get some suggestions and comments regarding my first trip to South America, which will start in early Sept 2023. This being my first trip to South America, I will take a group tour (already booked) to visit Chile, Argentina and Brazil. Peru was included in my initial plans, but with the current situation there, I have now dropped that from the countries I will visit. This is 2-week tour covering 3 countries. The tour starts in Santiago, Chile, then on to Argentina and ends in Rio. I wish to tack on a couple of cities before the tour starts and then stay over in Brazil for few more days after the group tour ends. I have been to a few of the Asian countries and was in Bangkok in mid-February of this year. I have never been to South America, so this will be my first trip. I have read several posts here from those who have been there and rave about the time they have had. I have also read that there is security issue in a number of cities, so one has to be aware of that: mindful of the surroundings and also when meeting individuals outside of places that can be considered to be more safe (eg saunas). I am thinking of the itinerary outlined below. Does anyone have suggestions on what I should add (days and cities) or exclude (or shorten amount of time) in the cities outlined? I will truly appreciate feedback from those who have been there before. Outside of the group tour, my plan is to stay in a city longer than a couple of days. So not planning to pack in too many cities, where I would only stay for 1-2 nights. Currently planned: Fly to Medellin from Western Canada Medellin: 10 days Bogota: 4 days Santiago, Chile: 2 days prior to start of group tour Group Tour of Chile, Argentina and Brazil 14 days (booked already) Rio: 10 days after group tour In between the stay in Rio, visit São Paulo for 4 days Fly back from Rio to Western Canada I will book the international flights once I have somewhat finalized my plans. Thank you!
  6. Few words on Cartagena Gabanna Gay Disco. I think its one of the best, not fancy, but the main hall is cool, its small, maybe max 50 visitors, many nice guys and last time (saturday party), 2 sexy strippers, who mingle with guests, show their erect cock, etc. Everybody knows everybody. Bar staff is super friendly. There is a dark room, no aircon. I was partying with a friend, who was with his bestie (28,26). His bestie is a waiter and an escort, nice cute top guy. 3am the party was over, I joked about 3some, which was enthusiastically accepted. The motel was right behind Ibiz, my friend new about it. Great sex fun, later I learned the two usually dont do group sex together). My friend though likes groups, both girls and boys. It was my last night before morning flight to Bogota, I gave my remaining cash maybe 40k to boys which was handed to the bestie; i bought for us drinks in the club as well. Nonstop beer baskets from me, but still could not spend too much. I had my sleep eventually in Bogota. I miss them, Cartagena can be fun (as every city..). PS this club is fun only saturday, maybe friday, rest of the week its pretty deserted.
  7. Strippers are generally not the main theme in Colombian clubs. Places like Gigolo House and Garage (both Bogotá) are stripper bars where the boys will do a single dance at the end of their stage obligation fully erect. Most then walk the audience offering up a feel for tips. Not sure if that fits the bill for what you want. Many clubs and saunas in the larger cities will bring in a feature stripper to do a 20 -30 minute show during an event. Again, depending on the space, these shows can be completely vanilla or full audience interaction up to penetration -- just depends on the venue and what the stripper has actually been hired to do. So I would suggest just asking around at any of the local gay bars you hit up. Colombia has a LOT of private gay events that feature entertainment far wilder than what you find in the local bars. If you are up to it, you can apply to be a member of Angels Naked Party which runs a number of different events in Bogtotá y Medellín. Good luck with your search.
  8. I was in Medellin and Bogota, (not really a beach person). many many men. check out https://co.mileroticos.com/escorts-gay/antioquia/medellin/ for professionals (typically asking 150 to 250 cop)
  9. I am doing 5 weeks Colombia tour and while I had paid sex, I decided to visit as much saunas as possible. Short recap: Pereira Salamander. Small, I visited 3 times, 2 times had oralsex with twink. Not busy but seemed action focused. Central location. Manizales Alma Viva - few visitors, it has a jacuzzi in the basement. I was soaking there with super handsome guy (could be sent to Dolce Gabana ad campaign). It seemed he was not looking or I was shy. Had luck with one moreno guy in the steam room. Alma is in Zona Rosa, the entrace is disguised - no logo, you have to take stairs next to the casino, then you arrive in a snack shop and the owner wants to sell you snacks. But you insist „sauna“ and then the secret door is opened. Manizales Pilatos - city center located ugliest so far (combined with sex video shop). However I saw probably the hottest guy. He was like Belami futball player, fit, handsome. He was running around (or they were running with him) with one super obese daddy and another 60+ dude. I could not figure out whats going on - friends, fetish, escort? I could not approach him and soon the trio was gone. One of the learning was, less analyses, more initiative and action is required. This sauna is really sex focused, nothing else to enjoy. Second visit - no futball player (I was ready to fight😀), but one ca 35-40 y muscled or ripped dude with sexy face. He was radiating so much sex appeal and I made out with him a bit, but for some reasons stopped. Probably my loss! Cali Phiscus - cheap and central, lots of guys. New gringo faces are welcomed. I visited three times, all times had oral or anal sex, including very handsome fit hispanic twink. Two times guys offered weed, which was strong and maybe not so good idea in sauna. I was hallucinating, but never lost my mind (or locker key). Had sex with one young fucker on weed, which was great. I saw incredibly beatiful young muscle guy, he smoked also weed and then looked closest available partner for him. As one forum member said, it has a cute resident escort and handsome caretaker, both from Venezuela. CaliClub - a party sauna with DJ and excellent facilities. Guys in phiscus said „sundays it is full of young and hot guys“. Midweek it had few guests, it is more expensive and not so central. Phiscus is best on fridays and saturdays (open until 4am, but guests leave 3am) and I would try caliclub on sunday (open until 10 pm only). The sauna experience depends a) your hotness, b) supply and demand, c) your initiative and action, d) communication. A is givven by the genes, but b-d can do miracles. I found saunas are good place to enjoy and learn more about the scene, especially if you dont have time pressure. Slurp cold beers, chat and check out the guys. No complaints about the staff in the saunas, friendly and helpfull. I was also in Bogota Dark Club, which is naked cruising club. Was fun, lots of people on Friday and Sarurday. Dark Club had younger crowd then saunas and the guys were not shy. But even in saunas, I noted that there is a lack of older guys. In Germany, saunas attract fair share of older dudes who drink beer and socialize. Not so much in Colombia.
  10. I met a Gigolo in Pereira who was marketing in Grindr. 29 y, cute and wild combined, originally from Santander area. He does Chaturbate and few other webcams, models and takes acting classes. 2-2,5 hours in a motel was 250 cop, which included tip. He was great, I suspect he works mostly with ladies or is just a talent, since he took much better care of me, than onlyfans 23 y young fit medellin guy or 28 y muscled bogota guy/insta addict. They both were so self centric and own body focused! Maybe they are just young and not experienced. I negotiate with him now the overnight. Its a bit dissapointing from the gay movement perspective that bi/hetero gigolo provides best sexual experience 😀. He had some money issues with the web platforms so he is not working currently. But damn, he is a natural sex bomb, but staying humble and smart. The motel was fun as well, drive-in without any staff contact, doors are opened remote, you are told number of the entrance (there are ca 30 rooms!), you drive near your number (taxi, uber), doors are opened and you drive into “garage”, then leave the car and enter the suite, car leaves, all doors are closed, no windows. When leaving, same routine vice versa. Money is passed through the blind box. You can leave only when bill is paid and your transport has entered to the garage. Cannot walk around - highest level of privacy I have ever seen. Clean, nice bed, shower, jacuzzy (which we used minimal because time is sex, not pool). Cheapest suite which is absolutely sufficient - 5 hours 89 COP. Minibar and food if you wish. 4 km from Pereira. Hotel Amasis, check the web.
  11. sounds interesting! I am going to Colombia (Medellin, Bogota---and? Catagena or Cali?) for the first time. I am normally very into the brasil guys and the sauna scene in Rio... I am bit disappointed by the guys I found in webpage. I am more into the muscled guys...and I think they only work in front of a cam.... If anyone hase recommendations ...let me know. I have some contacts to guys from chaturbate and they ask for a lot of money! One asked for 500 US per hour..... What do u pay for the chaturbate-guys?
  12. Finally made it to Bogota, but it definitely was a tumultuous trip. Having said that, it's totally worth the trouble! Day 1: Extremely early flight. However, when 3/4 of the passengers got onboard, we were told there was a diesel spill, so everyone had to evacuate immediately. Long story short, by the time the flight took off, it was already 2 hours later than originally scheduled. By the time I got to Toronto, the flight had already left for Bogota. Air Canada had to rebook me, put me in a hotel near the airport and arranged food and stuff. To make matters worse, my luggage was already in the international section that had cleared customs. So to retrieve my luggage, I had to wait who knows for how long. I waited until 7pm and decided to go to the hotel and called it a day. Luckily, I wasn't flying to Lima. The guy sitting next to me found out there was no flight to Lima the next day and he had to wait until Friday. Day 2: All went pretty well, and our flight got in early. However, who would have imagined that the migracion in Bogota could be so jam packed. The line was so long and I waited for at least an hour just to get my entry stamp. Thank god my luggage arrived as promised by AC. Yellow taxi to my hotel in Zona G was seamless. The driver was super friendly and knew some English, so he basically told me what to do and what not to do in Bogota. Ironically, he also told me he likes men! I didn't imagine Colombians would be so open with their sexual orientation. It's too bad he's in his 50s at least. If he were in his 20s with a great body, I might have invited him to my room. lol. Checkin was fine even though the guy didn't speak much English. So it's Google, plus gestures and mix of everything someone could think of. By the time I settled down and had a shower, it's already like 1 in the morning. Maybe because of the altitude, I didn't sleep too well and woke up so early. Day 3: Things were off to a promising start. Actually, being an Asian is kinda a plus here cuz there were so few here. I was like novelty to a lot of bogotanos. This Paisa guy caught my attention (184cm, 78kg with a rock hard 19cm verga. Very tanned and smooth skin) and wanted to show me around, but told me he didn't have the money to pay for the entrance at museo del oro. So I was like that's easy. I didn't want to go to by myself either, so I was like I would cover the taxi and invited him to dinner. I promised him that if there's chemistry between us, we would have fun, and if there's not any, we could just part way with no hurt feelings. So he showed up at my hotel wearing this tight tank top showing off his physique, tight body, nice arms and chest. I swear that I wanted to bite his nipples when we hugged. The museo was amazing. So many gold, silver, and copper artifacts that were created thousands of years ago. It's just amazing that they were able to create these with so little technology and everything was completely handmade. We communicated with our broken espanol and ingles, but who cares. It's just fun to experience it with a hot local, and we didn't talk about sex at all. Then we went to a local restaurante in La Canderlaria for dinner. We had tamal, the big chicken soup plus a wrapped rice thing (don't remember the names) lol. It was actually him, during dinner, asking me if he could go to my hotel room. Before that, I was actually very content just for the whole experience. But who am I to say no to a hot Paisa guy. We wasted no time getting undressed in the room. He has a great body and his cock got hard almost instantly. We made out, sucked each other, and he just couldn't wait to put his dick in my ass. Man, he knows how to pound. His cock was rock hard the entire time. After like 20 something minutes, I was like there's no way I could take more and he insisted on going to give me a good time. Damn, that hot-boiled latino blood. Then he tore off the condom and shot a nice big load on my chest. We then cuddled and slept for a while. I like that he didn't immediately get dressed like some other guys. Round trip taxi was around 20000 pesos, dinner was 70000 pesos, and the entrance was 8000 pesos. I must say for the experience, it's definitely money well spent. Hopefully day 4 can be even more promising!
  13. Missed going to Bogota...Last time I left in February 2020 right before national lockdown. Going to go back in month and wanted to see what venues/historical sights are currently open? I contacted the owner of the Gigolos which also operates sauna in the same building but they don't have the date of re-opening yet.
  14. I am not sure if anybody here will recommend a specific trainer but there are multiple Bodytech branches in Bogotá, and I think throughout Colombia, so that might be a solid starting point. In Brazil for longer stays I have tended to go to a conveniently located and reputable gym and started on my own while able to quickly identify a good trainer for my visit. Sheepish confession: I found poppers at a sex shop in Chapinero and took a mild sniff or two at St-Moritz Spa but did not find the sensory vasodilation to be particularly value-added. The turn-on with the guy was already plenty. I have tried very few chem things and always basically just once. I also lusted after, but never met, a young physique competitor in Brazil who died not long ago, apparently due to a ‘cardiac episode’. He once did a Rio model shoot outside the now closed also ran JE-showran Lions venue at the intersection of Gloria and Lapa. Obviously I don’t know the specific details, and profound exertion may have been a factor, but anabolic steroid use can be implicated in a serious adverse cardiac event.
  15. Very true. For other Latin Americans, Colombian Spanish represents a superior form which is more refined, more classical than the ones they actually speak. The Colombian Spanish dialect came to be that way because the Colombian capital of Bogota, even as a Spanish colony, was an important viceroyalty, important enough to acquire its own university for higher learning, as well as other cultural and religious institutions. This meant the arrival of clerics, academics and administrators from Spain, many of whom spoke an educated variety of Spanish. This was important and influential in the development of the Colombian Spanish dialect.
  16. I did a lot of walking up and down steep hills before my trip and it really made a difference. Especially on a coffee farm I visited. I found the downtown centre of Manizales, near Pereira, had a lot more character. But the people in both cities were wonderful, as they were in most places in Colombia I went to. Bogota was the only city where it was like most big cities in the world.
  17. Just curious, I have been to the DR many, many times but thinking of Columbia. Is it fair to compare Pereira prices to a capital like Santo Domingo? Bogota or Medellin I would not question. But, this feels like comparing New York to Scranton PA. Just wondering
  18. Updated March 23 - 2023 The merger between Avianca and Viva (which started this entire mess) was finally approved yesterday. No idea if Avianca intends to reintroduce budget fares via the Viva brand, but I was shocked to see a Viva plan take off at El Dorado - Bogotá yesterday. Stay tuned.
  19. Instagram - @fiestasgaycolombia If you looking for upcoming gay events across Colombia, this Instagram account publishes current, upcoming events in major cities like Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Bucaramanga, and Cartagena.
  20. Cartagena only if you like sticky hot weather in a city. Beaches are not too nice and you need to commute (boat, car) somewhere for a nice beach. Old city is nice. Friend of mine says Hilton Cartagena has own ok beach, no vendors getting on your nerves, he likes spending time there. If we exclude romantic affairs, I liked mostly central areas like Pereira, Salento, Cocoa valley (excellent hiking), Guatape, Santa Rosa de Cabal thermal waters. I will try next time Tayrona Park, Cali and some parks not too far from Bogota. Pereira Salamander Sauna was interesting, mostly rather empty, but always few hot guys ready for action. I saw one young and very attractive massage guy but I was ready for that day. I was never bored in Bogota and it has many cool places just to hang around, lots of students. Medellin is surprisingly touristic and only place where I saw something like a crime - kids stealing something/running away and police chasing them, it was 3am Sunday morning in a center which was filled with semidrunk tourists (me included)😀. But its true - the weather and the scenery is beautiful.
  21. It appears that Avianca just discontinued automatic inclusive meal service within Latin America and now offers fee-for-service snacks & beverages. I don’t think these are ordered online ahead of time. It seems to be an onboard trolley system, or I would think the attendants walk back and forth because otherwise they would be blocking the aisles for unacceptably long periods. The menu is online. As far as I know, there is no business class Bogotá-to-Brazil destinations, at least not when I purchased tickets. Though my receipt shows VIP lounge access in Bogotá but no such designation for my flight leaving Brazil. Anyhow, not a problem for me as the fares were reasonable. An L class fare; range XS-XXL which is coding for fare conditions/ options/ privileges. The caveat is that cash is not accepted, only Visa or Mastercard. That is the main reason I posted. https://help.avianca.com/hc/en-us/articles/10514456299419-Discover-our-new-onboard-menu
  22. Back to South America topic … The Avianca flights BOG-GRU (mid Jan) and GIG-BOG (mid Feb) were great, only $625 USD combined price, very roomy, the best seats (bulkhead in my case), again as business class for most of the western hemisphere has given way to the new 2-2 configuration with the middle table first few rows. At that price, bringing snacks or buying on board not an imposition. Lounge access El Dorado due to the highest flight fare class, but not at Galeão. Air Canada business class to Bogotá return was merely $1150USD. Air Canada business fare to São Paulo was running $7000USD for similar dates, twice the distance for 6 times the fare price, no thanks. The itinerary ultimately worked out well, for both multiple destination goals and savings.
  23. Noticed the same in Colombia in January. Actually needed a mask to clear customs/immigration at the Bogota airport, fortunately I had some handy. Needed masks to go through most security at airports, then inconsistent after that. Some Latam flights had to wear a mask for the entire flight and others almost nobody wearing a mask. Most secure areas in airports people not wearing them. But like you saw people running to get masks so they could board their flight.
  24. IN Medellin and Bogota, the boys are hot, cheaper, better hung (in general) and quite passionate. Condoms are rarely brought up when you fuck. Many will still try to make you their BF, they are poor and hungry. Poverty is bad, they have a huge influx of refugees from Venezuela, and poor indigenous peoples. I will go back. Exercise a little more safety caution when out and about..... not as safe (IMHO) as Thailand.
  25. Have you tried Google Fi, guys? I think you have to be residing in the US to get access. It worked quite well in Bogotá, this April I will try it in Rio.
