I live in London,  and you would expect to pay £200 for an hour, sometimes, plus uber. You would be lucky to pay less, some guys are asking, and getting, £300 or more.

London is really one of the worst value places in the world when it comes to hiring.

Well, I'm in New York  at present,  and most guys are asking $400. Got one down to 350! One asked for 500. I politely declined!

400 in NY vs 40 in Rio

I see one boy each time I am here. This time he confirmed that the 'going rate' was 400, though I got a discount, to 350,  as a regular! I saw another guy tonight, whom I hadn't seen for 3 years. He is really attractive,  African American  and Native American. Sex was great, and he only wanted 300. He is not on escort sites any more, so he may be a bit out of touch. I gave him a big tip, though, as I almost drowned in his cum!

and then some British visitors are coming to Thailand and are loudly complaining about greedy boys asking 5000 baht for overnight

I don't know what the going rate in Thailand is but everything is in relation to its market rate. When I am in Barcelona I never pay over 100e simply because I can always get what I want under 100 but I am sure that is not the case for many cities in Western Europe.

yes and no since we always deal with two markets , local and domestic

If in our country,  say an apple , cost 1$ and we go to Lesotho where the same may sell for 10 cents but shrewd seller quotes us 20 cents and we go for it two things happened at once, both true :

1/ we got ripped off,  overpaying twice, ouch  !

2/ we got what we wanted for 1/5 of home value. Halleluiah !

is up to us how we go about that , whine or smile

Haha funny comparison. Usually I try not to be the stupid tourist who would disturb the local market. Like the Cancun story above
