# me too, only animals are drinking water

such uplifting thread, joy to read in one go. I agree that Latin America culture is bit violent and my personal theory is that is legacy of human sacrifices practiced not that long, in historical terms, ago plus brutality of slavery, traces of both must be still found in their blood. on another hand I visited several countries in the region over the years and had almost no problems other than warnings from locals not to take that shortcut or roll up windows in the taxi on intersection . ALMOST above related to attempted theft of smartphone in Buenos Aires metro (subway), skillfully done and in a sense entertaining but still failed on part of thieves who clumsily dropped on the floor phone lifted from my friend's buttoned up pocket in his shorts and opened by backpack pocket where I had my phone but did not have time to lift it up. Riding metro there, similarly like in Mexico city it's quite noticeable that people are alert about their surroundings, not thing one notices in Bangkok or Kuala Lumpur nor Montreal or Berlin.

I assume by 'merchandise: you mean private parts ? It may depend on bar. Some may be more progressive like Tawan or Nice Boys , others more pretending like Jupiter or Moonlight with rest in between. Generally speaking don't be too forwarding with your hands until boy will gesture that it's ok . some may even take you hand and place THERE. Definitely not right away as soon as boy sits or approaches you. Only exception will be big cock show when boys are going through audience soliciting tip for a feel, then you are definitely free to touch and longer you do , higher tip should be. You got me dreaming , sigh. Sex show are rarity those days but it does happen from time to time here and there. On another hand you will see performers in drag in most bars with shows- Banana Club, Jupiter, Fresh Boys , Tawan but not in Hot Male

Greying Thailand: Future solutions for ageing society

that would explain substantial increase in Grindr offerings I noticed today, people are looking for ways to warm up. I envy those who are there , must be very pleasant day

me? yes , under the pillow in the way that it's bit visible. Money in plain view may be interpreted as just forgotten to be picked up by guest, specially if room is bit messy and maid may leave it there. Speaking from personal experience in Baan Silom which is very comfortable but by no means upscale fancy international hotel. Fact that I stay there every trip and my face is familiar to the staff may explain it. -
I did not have you in mind. Was thinking more about those who at the same breath say they did not visit bar in so many years AND still comment on bars offerings and goings. Which is fair but bit illogical.

Which brings need for an advice which I received once from cleaning lady in Tanzania. Give tip daily or , as you do , in the beginning , never at end unless you give it directly to a cleaner. It may happen that somebody else ( reception, maintenance ) will check the room after we departed and snatch the tip from under the pillow. Or one may be departing on day off of the usual cleaner and we will be tipping somebody who did not do much for us leaving empty handed one who did. -
and some posters like to boost about how long ago they were last time in the bar or got massage

I agree with you as I also find PC is more conductive to write and read longer stories which smartphone is only for short quips and barks

and we shouldn't forget about ladies who are cleaning our hotel rooms, few baht under the pillow in the morning won't ruin anybody's budget -
Nothing wrong with such preference but it depends on banking arrangements and exchange rate at destination. To Thailand I like to take cash for 2 reasons 1/ banking fees, 220 baht there and about 6$ at my home bank 2/ exchange rate for my domestic currency in Thailand is slightly but universally and it adds up , better than Credit card exchange rate ( on one of my trip on the last night I took guy from Moonlight and told him we need to go to ATM to take money for him as my cash almost dried out. Of we went and you guessed it rightly , for some reason transaction was declined. Embarrassing but we went to next one and it worked )

I find that story somewhat untold to the end. Three separate thefts at random? I can believe in one but three? And such good luck with each bag pillaged? Smells insider knowledge at the least. Anyways on long overnight flights I carry money and passport in the money belt in my undies, otherwise I keep said money belt in my carry-on regardless if it goes to overhead or under the seat in front.

at that level different set of rules may , officially or not , apply. Since his paternal grandfather was born in USA he may have right to US citizenship (not sure if that works that way though)
