This vlogger below shares additional light on the family farm piece. For example: 1. 45 expanded who can qualify for Chapter 12 bankruptcy, so that the non-farmer rich bought farmland, and became absentee farmers that were allowed to qualify for Chapter 12 protection, originally intended to only mitigate risk for family farms. 2. Bankruptcy in general is on the rise, not just farming bankruptcy, because Trump has tanked the economy. Farm failures linked directly to tariffs have not kicked in yet. 3. Farmers are typically millionaires with 6 figure income. Farmers are not among poor Americans that need help feeding their children. The farm lobby drives corporate media to report bad news so that the Government sends farmers money. Now that billionaires own a lot of farmland, the money is being sent to them. Remember how Scott Bessent, one of our super rich Queens, claimed he was a soybean farmer? 4. Farms are like all businesses. Some will fail. That is happening now and will always happen. Failures rise and fall and always will. But with Chapter 12 rules now mitigating risk, billionaires have and will continue buying farms. That's happening right now. As the previous post suggested, Trump is tanking the economy. Billionaires will continue snatching up failed assets, farms and otherwise, as they fail.

Not only on Epstein Island but the Epstein ranch in New Mexico. Some speculate how proximity to the border allowed easier access to victims, including boys. This Katie Couric tremendous interview sheds light on some tough stuff. https://youtu.be/AraBCcyGegc?si=i5NHgq6Q1kVOWTVX

The whispers are growing louder that there were teen boys on Epstein Island and some of the clients with such interests are in the Government now. Meantime, down at Mar A Lago.

I'm not nearly as clever as @Suckrates and @stevenkesslar, so call me crazy, but here is my sense. Mario Cuomo is about as popular a candidate in NYC as Joe Biden was at the Iowa caucuses (somewhere around last place). Is it amazing how the rich fuckers won't let the Dems pass up a candidate when the people want something else? Knowing how that cycle ended, when Clarence Thomas's favorite former Senator became President, I might recommend "hang in there Mario."

Hegseth approving Qatar jets at our air force base is good for a laugh. The only thing funnier is if it would be if Saudi Arabian jets. New Yorkers would chuckle.

Not only did Trump solve the Albania strife, he has used his genius, busily reshaping our supply chains and reforming our agri and electronics markets, the likes of which we've never seen. No wonder he calls himself our greatest president. How he was passed over for the Nobel Prize for Peace, the World may never know. But is it to late to award him the prize for medicine? Trump has been deeply involved lately concerning vaccines, autism and preventive practices.

The Dodgers have a Cuban, 2 Japanese and a Korean on the team. That's LA!! Yeah, Ohtani trusted a gambler. 😦

He dared speak about Trump policy. 😉 e.g. ICE As far as Americans performing at the Super Bowl, yes Bad Bunny is, but there have been several non Americans. 🤣 Speaking of baseball, I had not heard Bad Bunny caught a fly ball that dropped over the fence. He's gold! Did anyone watch the Dodgers win last night, advancing to the NL championship. Guess how many Dodgers don't speak English? MAGA may not like. 🤣🤠 Will be awesome if Toronto and the Dodgers eventually meet in the World Series.

The Iconic Gay Painter and his Two Gay Subjects
Pete1111 replied to PeterRS's topic in Theater, Movies, Art and Literature
British actress Elsa Lancaster lived on Adelaide Dr., next door to Bachardy and Isherwood in Santa Monica. They were good friends A Don Bachardy show was presented earlier this year at The Huntington, in San Marino. Bachardy did an astonishing volume of portraits and is still going, although likely at a lesser pace. The show included portraits of Hockney, Peter Schlessinger, James Baldwin, and many, many more. A lot of history! -
MAGA keeps coming up with distractions from Trump/Epstein. They are fools to think the Epstein files will go away

If the Dems take the House, I assume they will require sworn testimony, not currently required by GOP committee chairs. In that case, Bondi may end up in Leavenworth if she continues lying. At least it's a pleasant thought. Frankly, the Dems don't have a strong track record bringing justice so chances are no MAGA scoundrels would serve time. I won't get my hopes up. That said, Eric Swalwell posted on X that GOP members are ready to release the Epstein files, that they are done helping the pedo protector.

How Much Would You Pay For Musicals and Plays?
Pete1111 replied to PeterRS's topic in Theater, Movies, Art and Literature
I am not keen on paying the inflated ticket prices in NYC. Would love to see the play about Oscar Levant if it tours. Was on Broadway. Now London. Not surprised to see famous movie stars doing Broadway productions. When I see many A-list celebrities doing TV commercials, such as Clooney, Pitt, etc. I assume their talent agents are also lining up Broadway gigs. -

I have a specific question about the meme below. This meme has been floating around since the MAGA crowd has voiced anger that Bad Bunny will perform during halftime of the Super Bowl, the championship game of American NFL football. It says, "if it hurts you that I will play at the Super Bowl, put Vicks on and that's it" or something like that. I have a hunch where it is the meme refers one might plop a dollop of Vicks. 😃 Does anyone else know? Any Vicks experts here? 😉

I listened to Malcom Gladwell discuss this at a book signing years ago. This season, it seems to me injuries during college football are more frequent then ever. Then, this past weekend a retired NFL quarterback got into an incident, where he ended up arrested. His aggression reminded me of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), where aggression has been identified as one of several symptoms.

Sadly, though farmers in places like Iowa and Arkansas are closer and closer to having to sell their farms to private equity outfits, they still see Trump and the MAGA Republicans as the right choice. Some folks will never connect the dots, even after they've sh!t the bed.

Well, back to Mike Johnson. Can we imagine how the corporate media would illuminate Nancy Pelosi and her friend back home that used to host her on his radio show, a friend that ultimately was arrested for masturbating in his vehicle parked at a playground full of children? Except that never happened to Pelosi. It happened to Mike Johnson's friend, radio host and anti-gay Reverend Grant Storms, back in Louisiana. Never heard of it? Why does corporate media let the GOP slide, again and again. If you search the Internet, you'll find Storms was guilty of the offense several years ago. The ongoing scuttlebutt in DC is there was one gay bar Johnson used to hang out at back home. Not that it matters, except that if true, it does matter when an anti-gay politician that provided legal support to Exodus International is friends with this Reverend that masturbated while near children. Big picture, maybe Madison Cawthorn was correct, that the House is nothing more than a gang of drunks, drug users and sexual perverts. Thus, why pay any attention to one more "immoral derelict?" 😗 I don't want to be judgy, but Johnson does come across as a big queen, right? And now the latest rumor on the Internet is some influencer claims to have information on Mike Johnson's GRINDR profile. Sadly, even if true, one can guess the corporate media would rain on that parade. Don't hold your breath. AND NOW, back to the EPSTEIN FILES

Quite a kerfuffle in the White House over Secretary Ludnick interview today, his comment about the Epstein blackmailing situation. Corporate media is asleep at the wheel on this. I wonder why. 🙄 The White House justice department already claimed no evidence Epstein was blackmailing sex trafficking clients. Welp..maybe Kash Patel should think again!! https://www.axios.com/2025/10/02/lutnick-epstein-greatest-blackmailer-fbi-patel

5 Reasons the Supreme Court Might Change Its Mind on Same-Sex Marriage
Pete1111 replied to stevenkesslar's topic in Politics
Maybe we don't need marriage equality. Maybe you guys are just being too picky about women. Take the lesbian in the above post. She's a little bit hot right? 🔥 Just try to imagine munching on that snatch. I know, right? Look at Mike Johnson or Ted Haggard, for that matter. They took a reality check, and came up with a big YES for pussy. And why not? It's true, Mike Johnson and Ted Haggard have the added guidance from the Bible, tank da lode, to do the right thing. Might we still hold out hope for our Senator Lindsay G.? Let's pray. He did admit a "near-marriage" with a flight attendant: In his memoir My Story. Lindsey tried to get a lady, and you can too! Sure, there is endless evidence that Republicans are pros at sucking cock, but we know they aren't always the best example for us to follow. Food for thought. -
5 Reasons the Supreme Court Might Change Its Mind on Same-Sex Marriage
Pete1111 replied to stevenkesslar's topic in Politics
There are two things I hope the legal team includes in preparing their arguments for the Kim Davis case. First, When Iowa's court ruled FOR marriage equality, the decision was so well written that legal experts predicted it would be difficult for Iowa to ever undo the decision, and that the decision would help serve as guidance for other cases, even outside the US. So one might hope, for Kim Davis, the legal defense will study that Iowa case for any helpful pieces. Iowa legalized same-sex marriage in 2009 following their Court's unanimous 7-0 decision in Varnum v. Brien, which found that the state's ban on same-sex marriage violated the Iowa Constitution's equal protection and due process clauses. If you search, you can find links to the decision and all sorts of other references to it. Back then, I read the entire decision. One thing I recall, when the lawyers raised the historical argument against, that gay marriage goes against long held religious beliefs, the Court spoke on that saying specifically that under Iowa's Constitution, the religious argument was not applicable. They also said that marriage equality does nothing to harm any of the government's functions in Iowa. It's a good read, if you can find it. Second, Kim Davis has been married 4 times and committed adultery. Perhaps some clever legal minds can weave that situation into their arguments why she is not a compelling plaintiff and that her case is not extremely worthy. One would hope her religious beliefs are out of scope for performing her job of county clerk. Yet with the current SCOTUS, I fear she might get an unreasonable amount of sympathy. Hope not. But I agree with @stevenkesslar there is reason to worry.
