EVERYONE ( NOW STEPHEN MILLER ) IS RUNNING AWAY FROM PROJECT 2025.
Pete1111 replied to Bingo T Dog's topic in Politics
Since Miller is Jewish, at most he's Nazi-adjacent. It's fair to call him a liar and vicious kunt, and I say that with all due respect. His mother's family escaped anti-Jewish violence in Europe, early 1900s. His uncle calls him an immigration hypocrite. Will Karma get him like it got Roy Cohn -
His "Sunset" Trilogy or "Before"Trilogy is a remarkable trio of movies how a relationship evolves over time. I love Ethan Hawke. The following has a few spoilers, in case you prefer to avoid. Linklater is an acclaimed, influential creator. I feel like watching Before Sunrise tonight, just to watch the ending again. ❤️

A moving BL drama set in Europe
Pete1111 replied to PeterRS's topic in Theater, Movies, Art and Literature
I've seen Close. In the States, you can stream it free on TubiTV. Another coming of age gay film called Heartstone (2016, Iceland), has similar themes as Close. praised for its intimate portrayal of youth, stunning Icelandic scenery, and authentic performances, it won the Queer Lion at the Venice Film Festival. In the States, stream it on Kanopy, TubiTV, YouTube and other platforms. Very good film. -
I didn't like Bill Clinton or HIllary Clinton or Joe Biden. Based on their history, these are examples of untrustworthy Democrats that committed terrible fuck-ups or at least were complicit in them. Yet I voted for them without fail, because they were the lesser evil, as you described above, why some voters chose 🍊. I remain flummoxed how so many voters never connected the dots about Trump and the MAGA GOP, but so easily do so concerning faults of the Dems. As you said, the economy was likely the deciding factor. To your reckoning, that the Democrats' winning path must focus on the economy, one might ask whether to focus specifically on the economy in battleground states? As the Jacobin piece outlined, if the Democrats can't bring the working class voters in states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin to their side, then they will continue losing. For me, I would make sure the Clintons, the Bidens and Harris drop out of sight. Sweep them under the carpet, and move forward with younger faces and a win-the-working-class through a better economy strategy. Focusing on the economy requires undoing the challenges of tariffs, the exploding debt, and energy costs. That won't be easy. Execution on economic promises may remain a minefield. That said, can the Party afford to leave out other issues such as Incompetency and corruption, as stated by the OP Women's healthcare Closure of rural hospitals Abuses by ICE/ the weakened American democracy and more Lastly, among the "untrustworthy Democrats" the electorate may be turned off by women candidates that laugh like a cackling witch, e.g. Hillary and Kamala. Of course that sounds VERY misogynistic. Yet, how many male political candidates giggle and guffaw? For a somewhat misogynist electorate that perceives the Democrats as the untrustworthy party that is not able to execute on promises, don't voters expect serious answers, not cackling?

Voters trusted Trump more, that he was actually the "honest" candidate, willing to speak the truth. At least that was my take, listening to voters interviewed by the NYT, before the election. My sense is that even though some Trump voters are now in the "we're fucked" category, they still see Democrats as untrustworthy. This article below, from radical lefty Jacobin-dot-com, discusses how attacking Trump's corruption, as John Ossoff is doing, might be a best path to winning future cycles. That said, the piece claims how Democrats continually fail to deliver or execute on such campaign promises, which sounds like they will remain vulnerable in 2028. https://jacobin.com/2025/10/corruption-democrats-trump-oligarchy-midterms Skimming other articles on their site confirms their contempt for Democrats such as Buttigieg and Obama. Knowing how the lefties tend not to lift a finger to prevent MAGA wins, if they are not happy with the Dem candidate, is worrisome to me, 45 and 47 cycles being the obvious examples. I wish the radical lefties and Green Party would admit having Trump has not been the better choice, yet do they? That said, if working class voters in battleground states shift back to the Democrats, that will be a factor in taking back the White House, according to Jacobin. Here is Ossoff talking about Trump corruption.

I'm bothered that she has appeared on RealTime, The View, and so on, as if she isn't still part of the "factory of lies" she promotes. In the end, click bait and ratings steer much of the content out there. Here is a potion of her continuing to lie, on The View. So disappointing she continues to lie about Pelosi.

That Trump has been so interested in Hungary remaining a thorn in the EU's side says so much. He lost that battle. I look forward to Diaper Don circling the drain. Magyar may be right of center, but at least he came out against the "factory of lies" that is their news media in Hungary, run by Orban's ilk. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/apr/15/hungary-prime-minister-elect-peter-magyar-suspend-state-media-propaganda

The accusations "I woke up in bed, not knowing how" suggest the worst. That they waited until now to make the claim is difficult to forgive, if Swalwell was forcing himself on multiple women under the influence of drugs or alcohol. I hear the arguments, that this is a common scenario, yet I still challenge the original victim, that other women may have ultimately been raped because of her silence.

Is Trump just old and faggoty, getting all touchy and loving on Paulo Costa?
-
The account I listened to, by the victim, sounds like she suffers from selective memory and that she drank heavily. Not saying Swalwell is innocent. I don't know. But the timing of this accusation is troubling.

I had a coworker that procured prescriptions from Canada for her elderly husband. She saved a lot.

This is the NYTimes article referenced by Kerry and Psaki, above. It's behind a paywall. Basically Netanyahu pitched that an acceptable regime change was possible if the US attacked. The CIA, Rubio and Vance disagreed. Hegseth and Trump were convinced Netanyahu's plan had merit. https://www.nytimes.com/2026/04/07/us/politics/trump-iran-war-takeaways.html?unlocked_article_code=1.Z1A.S29h.2QIhz-im5ikR&smid=nytcore-android-share I am not an expert, but AI can include capturing information in the Cloud to craft evidence that agrees with an agenda. It is worrisome how such AI conspiracy theories can persuade others. Sounds like it works. His theory Iran and Israel will become cooperative power brokers in the Middle East seems as farcical as how the CIA defined Netanyahu's regime-change scenario.

...e.g. Former Secretary of State, John Kerry spoke about it.

11 years ago Canada elected their version of Trump. They built a wall to keep out Americans. It all happened in ... "Where My Country Gone?" South Park Season 19 Episode 2. It's a scream! If you can stream it, I recommend. We need to take a minute and laugh.

Does Jiang Xueqin explain how Netanyahu persuaded Trump to attack Iran while Obama and Biden rejected that idea? It's peculiar he produces AI generated videos of himself. Perhaps this is the efficient way to do it, since his geopolitical theories are also from AI

The world rallies around Trump except for a few shitholes.

Thankfully King Charles and Obama both spoke to Canada's Parliment to hopefully remind them "we know" . "We're still here, come what may." I've always considered it fortunate that Canada is our neighbor. It's all good. In my work, I've had experience dealing with Canadian organizations. They have always "stuck to their guns". My sense is that stubborn demeanor in their diplomacy is what pisses off Diaper Don. My sense is they are not backing down. IMO, that is the best course for us, if Canada and everyone else pushes back on Kind Baby. -
I was reading how Churchill, Manitoba on Hudson Bay is known for its large polar bear population. Perhaps Canada should convince Hoekstra to go for a walkabout down by the rocky shore to mingle with the migrating bears.

There actually was a very handsome porn star that launched a GoFundMe a few years ago, under very similar circumstances: medical bills, car accident, repairs, etc. I expect he hoped his devoted fans would follow through, same as Skyler. There were some cruel comments on his Twitter feed. He did not hesitate telling them what to do with their opinions. It's a peculiar, fantastic world, how easily connected we've become, and how frequently people reach out, asking for money. Me, I actually donated a large sum to a gay film production's crowd funding. I was privileged to meet one of the production team for lunch. Initially, it was exciting to be involved, but ultimately, after they cashed the check, most of us that donated were treated more like a nuisance than part of the team. Expectations to visit the production locations were reneged on. I doubt I would ever donate to such a cause again. Live and learn, especially with crowdfunding.
