  1. Texting and emails are two of the worst ways to communicate, so if you like someone, as mentioned above, it could be worth politely circling back, and trying again. That he already bothered to question your hours and that you are one of those WEHO guys, one might wonder. But yeah, if you think he is ghosting you, one might check in with him after an appropriate time, to confirm.
  2. Is it fake news? https://open.substack.com/pub/openthebooks/p/pentagon-should-focus-on-defense?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android&r=3q434f Thank you for your attention to this matter.
  3. Captain BoneSpurs suggests oil tankers ought to return to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz now that Israel and the US have wrought so much damage against Iran. He followed up by saying that shipowners should “show some guts”. Imagine how that would go. We'd forget all about the Epstein files for a few days if Iran sank an oil tanker or two. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/mar/10/trump-free-flow-energy-fails-restart-shipping-strait-hormuz?CMP=share_btn_url
  4. If Teixeira's list is a true summary of what's wrong, it still goes back to how Ezra Klein's piece appears to me, that hindsight is 20/20. It's a little bit late now to realize all of that. Or is it? Corporate media loves to repeat how Democrat approval is in the toilet. Yet I look at this Blue wave that's predicted for the midterms. Those two things are so incongruent, it has to be a warning not to count on success too far into the future, without earning voter approval with a better playbook. We have some clever Dems that can do it, like Buttigieg. My sense is we are living in a similar time to the Bush Jr. era, when his popularity was so low, the GOP seemed toxic. Obama was an awesome candidate that came along at the right time. Back then, after the Obama landslide, Pundits asked if that was the end of the GOP. If only they'd seen into the future at Ezra Klein's piece. 😉 I don't want to see the Dems "die on that leftist hill" after the midterms, whatever issue might represent that leftist hill. To quote Teixeira.... So this would be a great time for the left to recalibrate its approach, right? But are they? To paraphrase George W. Bush: “Is our leftists learning?” Frankly I'm exhausted by how the left seems to burn everything down if we move to the center. Even now I've been called names for supporting Talarico. "Your white is showing." "Your racism is showing." etc. When I watched the new Adam Kinzinger documentary on YouTube I interpreted a briefly passing comment he made, that he doesn't expect anything different from liberals. They don't change. I hope he's wrong.
  5. One takeaway for me is how Ezra Klein mentions the need for genuine politicians and then circles back to the idea that genuineness will appeal to voters who have sensed they are not listened to. In Texas, people such as Beto O'Rourke and James Talarico fit that quality. For me, some other genuine public figures are the two I mentioned in my post above as well as Pete Buttigieg, Zohran Mamdani and Justin Jones. Overall, one might say about the piece is that hindsight is 20/20. Perhaps you are correct we should just wait. Me, I'm anxious to strategize, like Paul Wellstone did when he had a campaign booth at Gay Pride staffed with really hot young guys. Find out what works. Be genuine. Part of Democrat's problem IMO is how the GOP playbook and messaging paints an extremely radical picture that may not be true, yet as the piece shows, is now believed, that we have shifted hard left. The Dems have nothing to counter that and corporate media lets the GOP get away with it. Another clip in the piece discussed how one can't defeat peoples emotions. You can't tell a voter not to feel a certain way. Yet there is still a need for a better playbook that appeals to voters and fact checks GOP lies.
  6. I have a question for you Democrats. I mentioned before, I attended a local event with my fellow libtards and radical leftists, how our Asian American congressional rep. spoke, that he mentioned the difficulty of pleasing everyone and how expectations can be frustrating for him. I was in the second row. I caught the vibe, that he was saying Democrats (like the one that had just stood up to force him into a corner on some issue) have this expectation that Blacks, Asians, Latinos, gays and women should sit their ass down on the far liberal end of the Democrat teeter totter where they belong. Afterall, they owe everything to "us". All that said, in the end, my rep encouraged us to get in touch with our thoughts on the issues. That brings me to my question, below, in two parts. If a shift from Red to Blue is coming, then what might be a winning playbook that will keep the Democrats in the majority? and What is an issue you want the Democrats to solve? For example, I believe in a path to legal status for long-term undocumented immigrants, as well as enhanced border security. I don't mean building more walls. Imagine the improvements in monitoring the border that could have been made using the money Trump is spending in Iran and on ICE. Trump has fucked up so much that all tasks ahead for the Democrats are daunting. A winning playbook is tricky. For example, endless blaming gets old. Yet voters need to understand enough not to prevent a return to the MAGA election denier crowd. Perhaps enlist the likes of Jack Smith and Stacey Abrams.
  7. Trump restated Zelensky doesn't hold any cards. Yet the Gulf states and the US urgently need Ukrainian expertise in drone defense. Perhaps diaper Don should send JD Vance to visit Zelensky and remind Vance to wear a tie and don't forget to say thank you. Zelensky confirmed if they help with drone defense, Ukraine first must assure their drone expertise is protected. Security protocols will be required. I suppose he worries that by now no one trusts Trump with defense secrets. The same might be said about Israel and defense secrets. Sounds like Zelensky's most reasonable hope is getting cash from the Gulf States, although he needs the US help to restock Ukraine's Patriot defense interceptors. Von Shitzinpants might be persuaded if Ukraine demonstrates they're ready to help with Iran, but only if Trump allows them to receive the interceptors. https://www.politico.eu/article/ukraine-offers-drone-expertise-defense-gulf-us-support/
  8. January 6th, the day that our new DHS Secretary and election denier ...crouched on the floor of the House like a whiny dog.
  9. The timing was confusing that Trump announced Noem's new special envoy role, before she spoke in Nashville. She must have known by then. Not long afterwards she announced a prepared statement about serving in the new role. Elsewhere, her husband attended committee meetings in the House and Senate this week. Must have been tense for him when House members brought up the report that Noem was having an affair with a subordinate. Perhaps they have an open relationship. Maybe a throuple! Sounds like her Senate testimony sealed her fate, especially when Senator Kennedy asked about contracts and costs. It almost seemed contrived or planned, that this was how Trump would have no choice but to fire her.

  11. Sorry, but no, Paxton is not a convicted felon. Yes he was indicted, but ultimately let off the hook. That he continues to serve as Texas attorney general says a lot about what passes in GOP circles these days. Frankly he is not worse than Trump. Not at all. He seems like a good fit for the Donald, his committing adultery, accepting bribes and so on. He was also a big part of trying to overturn Biden's election. So yeah, Trump likely prefers Paxton. Let's see what Diaper Don decides. I agree with Stable Genius, will be fun to watch what goes on in Texas.
  12. Beto nearly won his try. He has great things to say about Talarico. The Dems prefer Paxton to be the opponent. Sounds like Trump will be the decider.
  13. A knife fight in a phone booth. The commercials about Paxton are in the gutter, and rightly so. Trump will announce his choice. Is Diaper Don waiting for the highest bidder? The amount of money spent so far, just for the primary, is insane.
  14. Persian secret police under the Shah tortured and murdered far fewer dissidents than under the Islamic Republic. One might hope Iran can form a new government that does not eliminate political opposition through violent means. But I wouldn't count on it. One might hope their policy of executing gays, which began under the Islamic Republic will cease. However, my sense is Persians are bitterly hostile towards gays and lesbians. My experience here in Southern California both in the workplace, in school and socially is they have a big problem with gays, and are some of the least likely people to become allies. That said, younger gay Persians are more empowered here in the States. From that, some Persians have become less hostile, yet I still would not trust them to relearn what they've been taught and long believed in. Personally, I would have misgivings making personal sacrifice for countries where people would hang me from a crane or toss me from a rooftop. Yes, I know that's a narrow minded view. It's probably one of the few points Bill Maher makes that doesn't bother me as much, how religions affect on the people is fucked. When he points out how ridiculous Queers for Palestine seem, it almost goes without saying. For now, are the woke queers busy crafting a position on Iran?
  15. If the lamestream media weren't complicit, protecting predators, we would have known by now why New Mexico shut down their investigation of Zorro Ranch in 2019. The media might also speak about how many images we see before our very eyes of Bill Clinton getting cozy with young girls, and the victim accounts of him. But they don't. That said, Tr*mp appears to be the focus of far worse allegations, compared to Clinton. No matter what goes on in Iran, the US as well as other countries ought to keep peeling back the onion on all of the evil perpetrated by the perversion and greed associated with the Epstein class. https://www.santafenewmexican.com/news/local_news/u-s-justice-department-releases-zorro-ranch-photos-inside-and-out/article_c5e8c6b7-b77a-41be-a3ba-fe3d551b7ca7.html

  19. I was channel surfing on the big screen TV this evening and landed on Jewish Life TV. Do I watch often? Sometimes but not often. The show streaming was Being Jewish with Jonah Platt. That had some potential, I thought. I can learn something and not be subjected to as many effing commercials one is forced to watch on most channels. The guest was NY Times best selling cookbook author Adeena Sussman. She is from Palo Alto, while Platt is here in Southern Cal. Most interesting was that Sussman is based in Israel and is now Israeli. So, much of the show was a discussion of life in Israel as well as the cuisine there. Afterwards I picked up my phone and checked an email from Pinterest, featuring a meme of a US map called "What New Yorkers think of the rest of the USA.", which was a map showing what they thought about various states. Was supposed to be humourous. I clicked on the meme which took me to Pinterest. There, at Pinterest' site, among the choices was an Amazon ad for 3D Wooden Map of Israel 3D Wooden Map of Israel, Large - 72" x 27", Biblical Places Captured, Great for Christian homes/schools/offices, Where Jesus walked, Etc, etc It struck me that the first time I ever came across such an ad was after viewing Sussman and Platt discussing Israel. Did it bother me? Not at all. I just found it curious.

    Am I crazy?

Jack Smith continues to be in the news, now that Judge Cannon ruled to shelve his report on Trump hoarding classified documents. @lookin I will always align with the yearning for the kind of integrity Jack Smith would bring, but also with his knowing the evil people are capable of. IMO his prosecution of war crimes suggests no one could gaslight him. Congressman Garcia is another, his integrity, how he is trying to force disclosure of all that Trump and his ilk have wrought concerning Epstein. Sadly, we remain at risk with the kind of leaders currently running the Government. I see Larry Ellison was Lindsey Graham's guest at SOTU. Today's news that Ellison's company will buy Warner Brothers is sad. Yes, we need a Jack Smith kind of world.
  21. More revelations from the UK, that Andrew charged his massages to taxpayers. Though that is small compared to his sharing sensitive domestic data with Epstein, it still rubs salt in the wounds how Andrew broke the public's trust. King Charles is scheduled to visit the US for the semiquincentennial in April. The optics of King Charles getting chummy with our pedo protector Trump won't look pleasant to their Press.
  22. Andrew was Elizabeth's favorite. He got away with a lot of sh!t. She's gone now. Time to face the consequences of one’s actions.
