A Scandinavian Travelogue to see the Aurora Borealis
Tomtravel replied to PeterRS's topic in European Men and Destinations
Swedish gay guys who are earning money by camming or who enjoy live shows with the guys would disagree that Sweden or Stockholm is „most open…friendly“. Forum members should stay away not only from escorts but also from Chaturbate and similar when in Sweden or they may receive a call from the 👮. Contrary to many other places, Sweden enforces the law. So just enjoy coffee and bulle in one of the gay cafes. Sweden's parliament has passed a law banning the purchase of sexual performances for viewing online, including those on platforms like OnlyFans, marking a major update to the country’s sex purchase legislation. Under the new law, it is illegal to pay someone to perform a sexual act remotely – such as via live video – for the specific purpose of the act being viewed by the buyer. It also criminalises profiting from or promoting others who perform such acts for payment on demand. “This is a new form of sex purchase, and it’s high time we modernise the legislation to include digital platforms,” said Social Democrat MP Teresa Carvalho, after the bill was passed by a large majority in parliament. While viewing and paying for pre-recorded content remains legal, the law targets live, commissioned interactions, which lawmakers argue blur legal and ethical lines. Some OnlyFans creators have criticised the law, saying it harms their livelihoods. Carvalho responded that the law is not aimed at targeting adult content creators, but at protecting young people and vulnerable individuals. She pointed to documented links between online exploitation, human trafficking, drug abuse, and grooming into more severe forms of prostitution. The bill was proposed by the parliament's justice committee and received cross-party backing. With this legislation, Sweden positions itself at the forefront of regulating digital sex work, consistent with its broader zero-tolerance stance on prostitution. In Sweden, purchasing a sexual act is punishable by up to one year in prison, while pimping carries a maximum sentence of four years in prison. The new laws will take effect on 1 July. -

It’s actually worse than I thought - purchase of sex services is already criminalised, but now they want to criminalise purchase of digital sex content. https://www.eswalliance.org/press_release_sweden_adult_content -
A Scandinavian Travelogue to see the Aurora Borealis
Tomtravel replied to PeterRS's topic in European Men and Destinations
I have heard that Sweden is rather tamed sex destination. Escorts, porn, all sex work is considered negative in the current political atmosphere. No sex-positivism. Appearantly no cruising clubs with gay porn on screens (like in Berlin). -
I have a monthly membership in SO Bangkok gym and spa; the infinity pool with a view to Lumpini park is used mostly for insta pics. It is impressive. Very cool infinity jacuzzi with a city view, I sit mostly there (alone🙂). Many gay visitors (some hot) but have not seen cruising. I have been there daytime, maybe after work? I will report if I see something. Honestly - the gym is rather poor, the spa area smallish and the place is more for relaxing. There are excellent seats in the pool under the bushes, which provide nice shade. Drinkies are served.

So here is the direct translation: „For the first time, more than 300,000 people marched through the Thai capital at the Bangkok Pride on Sunday - Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra was also in the middle of it.“
-
Pride was on a hot and sunny day. I was at the pool and delayed my participation due to the heat, so I thought I go around 4-5 pm. Then it started to rain, so I delayed my departure again. Then I decided to visit the final party at the Central World. Then some other things…and eventually I was maybe at 9 pm at the final concert which ended 10 pm. The band was fun and the crowd was thin. I had good intentions but life happens.. German media said pride had 300k participants which was all time highest. So all good.

[VIDEO] British gentlemen fly to Ibiza. Or should I write "animals"?
Tomtravel replied to Moses's topic in The Beer Bar
This is a good example not to use sleeping pills when flying as in the case of emergency you are not able to leave the plane. Not all emergencies are „nobody survived“. Even when the passengers are de-boarded (change of aircraft, etc.), it would be uncomfortable. -
I met on muscled 25y myanmar MB guy. Great body to enjoy for fun, but all in all I was indifferent. It was fun like great meal but I forgot it quickly.

The Ideal GoGo Bar. What Would Be Your Recipe For Success?
Tomtravel replied to PeterRS's topic in Gay Thailand
A perfect gay bar-escort joint should copy straight brothel from Vienna called Babylon. I visited it with my clients 10+ years ago but I doubt too much has changed (its Vienna..). Beautiful bar or restaurant area with 20-30 very beautiful, nicely clothed escorts. Security is totally hidden, there was one madam, who elegantly coordinated things. Entry was I think 140 euros, unlimited drinks and food (limited menu). Sex with a room was 400 euros (1 hour). Girls were instructed not to be pushy, so it was very pleasant environment like premium bar lounge in a 5 star hotel with soothing music. The place was full of men who mostly enjoyed the company of ladies, not all came for sex. I felt sad I am not straight! It used to be also leading coke joint for people who like extra spice, but for me unnecessary. I remember we 3 had good time; since I was closeted with the clients, I chatted with my very nice girl all night. The total evening bill with coke, 3 girls, few hours in premium jacuzzi rooms was eventually ca 3500 euros. One client, who paid that, forgot his underwear to the room. Clients were very pleased. I doubt we have similar in Europe for gays but I suspect something like that could be in US. PS - alternative is skip the premium part and keep it casual. -
I totally forgot to add Bangkok to the post. I had no feeling I am not welcomed. I blocked one pool entrance for a while and received cute „sorry“ with a smile. Never been in Babylon, but I understand it was a huge complex. Kaikan has a capacity limit 150 (according to the web). As usual in the saunas, attractive look for attractive, however there are twinks (proof from grindr) who are totally mesmerised by older farang, so its a lucky game. I must correct that cruising space has two floors; and the upper floor is with open space with mats, chairs and additionally two spaces with fancy lights and large mirrors on the wall, so you could admire your hot (or not so hot) body😀. The staff was polite, google says the one barman is unpleasant. Yes, he is a bit strange and grumpy. Was working in a bar with a white freshly applied cream on his face. Like somebody had shot his load on him. Take it with a humor. Young guys can get quite stressed with this beauty race. I am in my early 50s with normal BMI and do some sports; I look for guys around 25-35, in grindr I get mostly hits from 20-23, not MBs (I ask confirmation) who clearly want to live out their fantasy. Many are good looking types, however I want a bit more maturity. I could fool with them in the sauna though. Anyhow, I like them all - slender bodies, attractive asses and beautiful hair😊. I stay in the service appartment near Asok. Have not registered my guy in the hotel but the staff seems to be ok with that. I also visited Patpong Hot Male bar, second floor balcony and looked at the 5-6 guys sitting around me. Nearly all attractive, oozing kind of a raw and fun sexuality. I totally get the appeal and was thinking about my choices. I like though my guy too much to change the current setup.

Arrived around 7 pm. Really beautiful and pleasant gay onsen with nicely done pools and jacuzzis. Well maintained and looked clean. Thursday evening maybe 20-25 guests, mostly slim or athletic twinks. I think there were 3-4 men over 30 me included. I was the only farang. They have very nice naked only cruising space (not totally dark); yesterday at 8 pm tops got blue, vers silver and bottoms green neon wristbands. And 80% were bottoms 😀. I felt bad for the guys. I did not create any obvious interests, appart from one middle aged Chinese guy. The cruising looked tamed, basically guys made a contact and then moved to the free rooms. One triple group was active in the public space. Lots of eye candy. Nobody consumed alcohol, I had two beers. I would say that in Taipei Commander B bar twinks get tipsy and raunchy. Last time, among others, there was a small queue of twinks who were topping one older farang in jockstrap. Well, nothing happened here (and I tend to be shy in saunas). I left around 21.30 and I saw some others leaving as well. Entry 450, beer 90 baht. I got one free entry ticket. Since I have a „holiday bf“, a career twink who likes older guys, I may visit the place with him again. Its just a peaceful and nice place with slender and gracious (and some muscle) twinks roaming around🤣. I guess weekends could be more busy and interesting. Some guys arrived and skipped the aquatic pleasures and moved directly to the cruising area (2nd floor). In onsen one must be careful with many slippery and underwater stairs.

Bumrungrad Hospital Offering 20% Off Colonoscopy Packages
Tomtravel replied to PeterRS's topic in Gay Thailand
There's no upper age limit for colon cancer screening. But most medical organizations in the United States agree that the benefits of screening decline after age 75 for most people and there's little evidence to support continuing screening after age 85. -
Here is one actionable item: In advance of Vietnam Human Rights Day on May 11, a coalition of international human rights and free expression organizations—including PEN America, Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), Legal Initiatives for Vietnam (LIV), PEN International, Reporters Without Borders (RSF), Vietnamese Abroad PEN Centre, and Vietnamese Advocates for Change—released a joint letter urging U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio to press the Vietnamese government for immediate reforms to protect freedom of expression and release imprisoned writers and journalists. The letter highlights Việt Nam's ongoing crackdown on free expression, noting that the country is the third-largest jailer of writers, with 23 currently imprisoned—including Phạm Đoan Trang, the 2024 PEN/Barbey Freedom to Write Award recipient. https://www.thevietnamese.org/2025/05/global-coalition-urges-u-s-secretary-of-state-to-address-vietnams-human-rights-abuses/

When Putinism will be banned? I see the criminal is still talking on the Red Square.
-
I am not American, discussions about human rights, crimes of communism (everywhere), political prisoners (ca 170 in Vietnam) must be conducted irrespective of what is happening with US, Guantanamo, CIA. Otherwise we continue the colonialistic treatment and ignore the nations who suffer.
-
Refering to International Action Center - Marxist-Leninist organization - in the context of Vietnam post? I think you miss my point, Vietnam government is now souvereign in its decisions and how it treats his past (nothing to do with US, the victim is his own nation).
-
Only stating the fact that after the horrible civil war, people were subject to the red terror which ended only fairly recently (at least in a large scale; Vietnam still has political prisoners). At least 150 re-education prisons were built after Saigon fell. One in three South Vietnamese families had a relative in a re-education camp. These traumas were created after the war and the current Vietnam government, until today, has not condemned those practices.
-
So what happened after the communists won the Vietnam war? „Re-education camps“ were introduced, which followed the horrible Soviet GULAG and German concentration camp traditions; torture and death were common. Hundreds of thousands were arrested without a trial and sent to those camps, many died. And Vietnam today? „Vietnam’s human rights record remains dire in virtually all areas. The ruling Communist Party maintains a monopoly on political power and allows no challenge to its leadership. Basic rights are severely restricted, including freedoms of expression, peaceful assembly, association, and religion. Rights activists and bloggers face police intimidation, harassment, restricted movement, arbitrary arrest, and detention. Farmers lose land to development projects without adequate compensation, and workers are not allowed to form independent unions. The police regularly use torture and beatings to extract confessions. The criminal justice system, including the judiciary, lacks independence. Political dissidents and civil society activists are frequently sentenced to long prison terms on bogus national security charges.“

I met a young barman in one Bangkok bar. He and 3 LBs. He said my beer is 100 and his beer is 200 baht, he gets the extra money. He is 23 years old and I told him, if you slurp those beers every night, you soon damage your mental and physical health. Drink nonalcoholic beer or softdrink or just dont drink/pour to beers clients buy to you to the sink. He has a good outgoing character and charm, no need for a drug. Unfortunately, he likes this beer and party lifestyle. He is very nice and fun gay guy, stayed with me few nights, but next time I give him 500 baht in cash and demand we drink juice. Holiday for his liver. Actually the whole bar concept is based on the beers clients buy for the LBs and the boy. And they drink them, 6 evenings every week.

Exercises in celibacy - trip to Thailand and Vietnam in Jan 2025
Tomtravel replied to vinapu's topic in Gay Thailand
I spent 4 nights in BKK and told the boy to stay in my hotel from 13-19.00. Its hot outside, not fun, and aircon room with shower is the best. He did so 2 days, was very pleased (me too). Evenings we were drinking. He eventually spent the two night as well. Very challenging for the room cleaning! -
I once had (free) sex with a hot french twink and asked what is his profession. He said „Photographer, DJ and Personal Services“. It was in Berlin😀
-
I was last year 4 nights in Aruba and could not find anything gay. I suspect the local culture is influenced by the old school Dutch conservatism and religion. Beach and snorkeling tour was good. I made a quick jump from Bogota which is a happy and lively place compared to Aruba, however Aruba is basically EU life quality and safety (and cost). Its a hot place and look how close to Venezuela! Its touristy and commercialised, full of American cruise tourists. I see no reason to return.

Any new posts on China
Tomtravel replied to Olddaddy's topic in Gay China, Taiwan, Hong Kong & Macau
I am not a friend of a communication through the apps, I like to meet and talk using my voice😀. In Shanghai, everybody who contacted me in Grindr was speaking English. But gay club in Beijing was not so easy or the guys were shy, however using translation apps in a loud drunk environment is probably working not very well. The easiest introduction to Han gay culture would probably still be Taipei, as it has plenty of open gay establishments, tourists are welcome, plenty of paid and unpaid activities, etc.. Or to combine Taipei and Shanghai. And after that maybe other cities. Grindr in Nanjing was not overly active. I enjoyed my time there, would go back because both Taiwanese and Chinese are fun people to be around! -

I liked e-sim (there are also other providers) from practicality reason - you buy it when outside China and activate in China; my home apps remained functional and I got connectivity in China, including Grindr, Alipay (important!). Its fully legal solution like any roaming. Alternative is to buy Chinese sim in China (lower cost) and install VPN (requires research which work and is legal). Dating is legal, prostitution is illegal (respect of local laws…). I got only one escort contact, but did not have time to explore it further. The main barrier in China was the language. I did not change my views on the Communism. -

Grindr works without VPN if you have e-sim like Airalo (which is Singapore based) and in that case you stay outside of the dystopian „ Chinese data wall“ and can use gmail, youtube, whatsup and other banned applications, which „are full of American lies“.
