This reminds me of my first ever visit to Thailand more than 4 decades ago. I was staying far from Suriwong and given the times I was somewhat timid about exploring. Then a tout offered to take me to a gay gogo bar and for the only time in my life I took him up on the offer. A long tuk-tuk ride later, I was in the somewhat notorious Stockholm bar near the foot of Langsuan - long before that street moved very upmarket. It was a large bar in an old Thai building, hardly any other customers and about a dozen boys dressed in jeans. The mamasan soon sat next to me asking my choice. Jet-lagged and unsure of protocol I said i was still not sure. She recommended I take two upstairs and let them do a show for me.

And that's what i did. For one whose only prior experience of sex clubs was a couple of visits to the Reeperbahn in Hamburg and the saunas in Amsterdam, I was somewhat nervous. But the boys were great. As they were performing, one suggested I move to sit on the bed. It was not long before I was invited to join in the action. Given my inexperience of Thai bars, I loved it and even today it remains clear in my memory.

I'm not that familiar with bars that offer sex shows, but if you just want to see guys doing I would also suggest going to the R3 sauna during their O-party nights. the sauna hires a couple of performs who first put some kind of a sex show for around 20-25 minutes, albeit not that good imo, and then everybody goes up one floor in this big room and performs start doing it with the sauna customers. It's quite the show even if you just want to watch and you don't have to pay extra if any of the performers wants to have sex with you. So from a purely financial perspective, it's probably the best choice. 

Sauna Mania in Silom does kinda the same thing, as they are both owned by the same guy. However, they didn't put a show during Xmas/NYE but had a foam party instead which lasted almost two hours and the performers were messing around with customers and among themselves this whole time.

Speaking of foam party, the good old (now gone) Babylon had the best foam parties and hottest guys. Those were the good old days.  Then, there is Chakarn, guys just let me jack them off under the foam there.  The foam is like a lubricant that lubricates everywhere on your body, it's s very erotic.

I went to the Babylon's foams party for Songran a few years ago. Really crowded. there was a line outside to get in. R3 also had foam parties during the same period and I would say they were equally good. The venue at R3 was smaller so there was not much space to move but that made touching guys way easier.

Never been to Chakran. I'll be going to BKK next week and might want to check it out. Any day/time you recommend? How often do they their foam parties. If I remember correctly, Babylon's used to have a monthly cadence. Both people in this forum and the reviews I'm reading online say that's not really farang-friendly. What's your personal experience?

I read that the authorities stopped fucking shows everywhere in Bangkok for 6 months, maybe as a pitch for more tea money to restart them? I was recently in Bangkok for some weeks and went to all the bars and saw none.

When it opened around 2000 it was very farang friendly. In the last decade, though, it has definitely become far more Thai-for-Thai or Thai-for-Asian. On the other hand, if you are relatively young and fit, it should not be difficult to hook up. Thai friends tell me evenings after 7:00 pm and week-ends are the best times, unsurprisingly.

For some years Chakran has also housed VCK Massage, the former V Club that for years was based in a separate house on Soi Aree. I have not been to the facilities in Chakran but the old V Club was a great massage place. It frequently had great looking and genuine models from TV and magazines offering massages. Perhaps others can comment if that continues.
