Good Boy Bar

Vinapu, I meant that providers share info on clients among themselves, not with other clients.

That's the mirror image of what's being discussed here: us sharing info about them.

To praise an identified provider here is exactly the rational of this board. Both the provider and future clients would gain by it.

To warn against an identified provider is just as important. A scammer deserves to be named, and we deserve to be warned.

That's the essence of writing reviews, from AAA to F...

I do it whenever relevant, including asking the provider if he wants his contact details shared. Some of u readers have gained by it.

I wish we would all go back to writing plain simple USEFUL reviews.

Thankfully no! If numbers are changed frequently, then it will be difficult to keep up!

Numbers at bars change whenever the guys go away for weeks back to home country. Their numbers likely to be given to new guys who want to work.

Bars will only keep numbers for certain guys. These guys are typically the long timers and they have "earned" their right to a certain number.

Of course the guys themselves can request for change of numbers e.g. lucky numbers.

Number 13 at Freshboys is usually vacant. It's only taken by a new guy or a guy returning to work after some time and because no other numbers available. (Freshboys tries to cap the numbers at 40). Once another number is available, guys will swap out of number 13.

Boy review is not Wikipedia and can be highly subjective - which often may be misleading. cases when we g follow recommendations and finish disappointed are numerous and so do reverse, guy gets bad rep but we follow our guts and end up happy. For me Tum from Moonlight and M from Senso are coming to mind and to  this day I'm happy I followed my , not somebody else's, no matter how trusted , guts

You have voiced this opinion many times. While enjoyment is subjective, a review could cover several aspects that are objective and of interest to new people. For example is the guy straight or gay, does he kiss? Absolute subjectivity look more like a cop-out.

@12is12 There is in fact a non-public section on this forum for reviews. It is not used much, either due to the conservative nature of the forum members or because people are generally unaware of it. Posts there receive very little engagement.

of course you are correct, word after word. Sometimes though , situation may not be so clear  for not so bright people.

Married guy, proud father of two who works in boy bar and goes with men for cash , who by time  he pulls his jeans down sports steely erection in presence of guy of  age of his  grandfather,  is straight or gay ?

The guys are superstitious. None of them want number 13

Is 13 unlucky in Thailand also? I thought it was something Christian to do with the12 disciples  or something.

I read that astrology, spirits and auspicious dates matter more but western ideas about 13 have reached there.

Does it matter straight or gay? As long as good service is provided!

These guys are having sex with people they would not otherwise have sex with if they weren’t being paid.  Occasionally, I would guess that a gay provider is hired by someone that he really finds attractive, but that would be the exception.

So, I agree. Sexual orientation isn’t really important.  Performance is.

while I agree with you and in reality I prefer straight guys as I have an impression they try harder, there may be others who actually may see difference for many reasons and may opt for  either one. the same is with top/ bottom , kisser / not kisser , twink / hunk divide and list goes on and on.

The main function of these forums is to share info, so we could all improve our experiences there.

There is clearly some confusion between what some members believe should be possible and what is stated in the Board Covenant - basically its rules. These state -

Personal information that can be used to identify a member, a user, or a go-go boy or bar boy, whether or not a Gay Thailand member, shall not be permitted. No member shall publish or cause to be published such personal information. A violation of the Covenant shall be cause for immediate termination of Forum privileges.

SInce the Covenant also includes  a prohibition about nudity in threads which can also result in banning for at least a period and this is frequently not observed, my view is that the Covenant was probably written at least a couple of decades ago and really needs to be updated. I would urge the Aministrator to review and update it.

These covenants provide cover for owners/operators in case of issues. ie they required members not to do this.  There is then less onus on them to apply the rules.

The system works, a bit like the laws on prostitution in Thailand, no need to mess with it.

I would like to agree, but do not. If a Board that is completely open for all to see (with the exception of one or more types of thread), young children could open it. If that child then sees a post with a naked man with an erection, that - at least a far as I can see - could lead to some sort of activity by the authorities against the Board if a parent decided to report it. Maybe I'm wrong. I hope so.

He would be a straight guy who would be using kamagra. The gel version. 😅

I have accepted Vinapu’s premise of subjectivity. Good service or performance would be to amenable to subjective valuations, and also chemistry with customer, whereas information about sexual orientation is a more objective marker. It has value as an indicator.

For some people it has value to know this indicator because they believe:

Gays provide less mechanical service
Gays will usually be versatile if prepared and/or be willing to kiss

Whereas others prefer straights due to larger choice
Less drama, more to the point in providing service

However, these are all moot points as these kinds of reviews won’t happen here.

Just as an FYI, sexual orientation would be less important for me to know when I’m going to Jey Spa, as I find performance there to be consistently high always. However, my two favourites there are both gay.

Speaking of symbolic numbers and superstition, I just noticed you’ve engaged in exactly 666 conversations!
