Weekends in Bangkok 2026

I was in fact ready by 7:15pm but I didn't want to stay inside airbnb and I didn't want to go to G's yet so I headed out to take a look at Patpong market. I ended up at Midnight for a drink and a quick game of checkers with their hunky waiter. From where I was seated, I spotted my guy's friend from Freshboys. He was seated at stairs directly facing his bar. I went to say hi and handed him a pack of cigarettes. "You come my bar see my show?" he asked me. I said I will try.

I went to G's and 3 forum members were already inside. We introduced ourselves. Most of us have not met each other in person. We had a great chatting about bars and massage shops as well as about other famous forum members. Another 3 forum members joined us gradually over the next one and half hours. We even took a group photo with Guido! The cat was outside though.

After G's, @emiel1981 and @jimmie50 and I went to Midnight for drinks. Hope they don't mind me subsequently using E and J to refer to them. J waited for his guy. E and I would be going to EDT tonight for the shower show but it only starts at 11:30pm. I went to Goodboy to off a guy whom I know through drinking but I never off him before. He's really handsome so I shall call him Handsome Guy. Handsome Guy is cousin of another guy whom I met regularly and my 2nd favourite guy. He hasn't come back to Bangkok to work yet. And yes, they are all Vietnamese! 🤣

I would take Handsome Guy with me and E to EDT then supper then back to condo. We had drinks and did people watching at Midnight until 10:30pm. By then J's guy had arrived and they left together.

At EDT, the shower show started at 11:30pm. Price was 600 baht with 2 drinks. We were glad we went in at 11pm. We could get seating against the wall and a round table to put our drinks. The place would gradually get crowded towards midnight. Two performers did the shower show - one Thai and one international guest. For this weekend, it was a tall lean model from Taiwan. There were also ladyboy diva singing. Think Stranger Bar with leg splitting and dramatic poses but in wet environment. Customers were also invited for games segment and lap dance with dancers. Handsome Guy enjoyed the experience. His first time in EDT. Two plus-sized half-drunk Russian ladies shared table with us. We toasted drinks but soon, they were getting closer to Handsome Guy. He's mine, bitches! E was quietly enjoying himself. I can't remember the exact time but probably half past midnight we decided to leave. E went back to his hotel while Handsome Guy and I went to Foodland for supper.

Foodland at certain times is a great place to meet people. Typically from 7:30pm to 9:30pm before the guys at bars go to work. Also from 11:30pm to 1:30am. That's because many guys at bars end work at 1:00am and they sometimes pop by at Foodland supermarket on their way back home. If you meet them earlier than 1:00am, they are usually seated with customer who had just offed them.

And so it was at about 1:05am when Handsome Guy and I were about to finish our supper when I spotted a familiar guy dash into Foodland supermarket. He works at Freshboys and is a good friend of my guy. Fair skin but lean muscular with well-defined and very hard abs. I call him Abs Guy. I got up and went into supermarket. I spotted and greeted him. He was buying packet of detergent. I offered to buy him supper and of course he said yes. After he paid for his detergent, he joined Handsome Guy at our table. They know each other of course. All Vietnam guys in the trade know each other.

I have always wanted to off Abs Guy because of his hard abs but could never do so as my guy works in same bar. In fact, they stand on stage side by side next to each other every night as their numbers are in sequence. Since my guy was away (and he gave me go-ahead to off guys in his bar), I asked Abs Guy for an off tomorrow night. Yes, he said. I said I would go to his bar tomorrow. With that, we parted ways. I went back to condo with Handsome Guy, a great end to an enjoyable day.

Sunday morning kind of followed the same pattern as Saturday morning - breakfast at Foodland, laundry and shopping. I timed myself to be back by 1pm with shopping purchases so that I could go to Shenanigans to watch live broadcast of Formula One race. As I walked past soi 6, someone called out to me. "Hello!" It was a Viet guy who works at Sun Massage. He was carrying a backpack. Another Viet guy was walking with him and he also had a backpack. Second guy is a massage guy I meet regularly at Adam Massage on soi 4. Both of them had just arrived in Bangkok an hour ago. They were looking for a rental room. I naturally invited them to lunch with me! After lunnch, I also gave them small tip and wished them good luck in finding suitable rental room.

At 3:45pm, I made my way to Sun Massage where Thai gay massage guy was waiting for me. As we went up the stairs, we passed by the Viet guy whom I had massage with yesterday and he gave me a knowing smile. Session with today's guy was a wild affair. Only 10% massage and the rest is ... ahem ... best kept unsaid!

To clarify, just because 10% of the 60 minute session was spent on massage doesn't mean that gay Thai massage guy doesn't know how to massage. He knows his strokes and has proper technique. I had massage with him in the past. (It was approximately 80% massage then). But this particular afternoon we were both so horny. We really made a big mess at the end. Thankfully there was ensuite shower in the room and we helped each other clean up.

As I walked out of soi 6, I thought about where to go next. Back to airbnb? Sauna Mania again just like yesterday? I checked my phone. Forum member was keen to visit Beef which had a special event this particular Sunday - a flea market for gay guys to sell clothing they no longer wore plus miscellaneous stuff such as perfume. There was also a DJ playing music, food stalls and three artists selling artwork and they were also available for portrait drawing and commissioned artwork. Special event was a first time ever held until 10pm then the place would revert back to its normal disco for the night. So i agreed to meet forum member and we go together in one hour time. I went back to airbnb to take a rest.

I met forum member at Silom Road outside his hotel Ibis Style and we walked to Beef. When we reached Beef, the bouncers said photo identification was needed before entry allowed. I knew this was their practice because I had been to Beef once but that was for disco at night. Flea market still need photo id? Yes, the bouncers insisted. So I asked forum member to explore Silom Edge while I went back to airbnb to get passport. 15 minutes later, we finally entered Beef to visit their flea market. By the way, entry wasn't free. Entry costs 100 baht. No cash accepted. Only cashless payment. Thank goodness I had my credit card. (This club has many rules!) Inside, the place was packed! Local Thai gay crowd. Everyone was dressed up. Forum member and I stood out in our casual tourist attire. But the fellas at the flea market were welcoming and chatted with us. We didn't buy anything but we enjoyed the vibe and atmosphere. It was a fascinating look at the local Thai gay culture.

After Beef, forum member and I decided to check out Side at Soi Wall Street. Side is a 4 storey coffee place for meet ups with cruising areas. On weekend nights, they have special programme. Last night Saturday night they had go go dancers dancing on stage. Tonight Sunday night they had hired guys available for fun in dark room. The room was so pitch dark that you can't see your hand in front of you so you had to feel your way around. Two hired guys took turns in dark room. Average types. There are also themed rooms for kinky play - classroom, office and locker room. I witnessed two Thai guys in late 20s jerking each other off in office themed room with another 2 guys touching them. Basically sauna but everyone is fully clothed (and holding iced coffee) as they explore the rooms. Forum member and I spent about 45 minutes then we got hungry and we went to nearby Sarica for dinner. About 15 guys cruising throughout our time at Side. Mostly locals.

Cute young waiter at Sarica whom I remembered from my trip in January was working. Outside seating was full so forum member and I sat inside where cute waiter was stationed. Forum member agreed with me that he was cute!

After dinner, we headed to Freshboys. I wanted to off Abs Guy (whom I met at Foodland supermarket last night). I did not enter Freshboys. I was at door and told waiter Abs Guy's bar number. Waiter went in and out came mamasan.

"Sorry, customer take your boy. 5 minutes ago."

What!

"Boy inside. Customer want see show first."

Mamasan then went inside bar and brought Abs Guy (who had already got changed into his T-shirt and jeans) out to speak to me directly.

Abs Guy said sorry he can't go off with me tonight. We exchanged Line contacts and arrange to meet tomorrow.

I said goodbye to Abs Guy and I also thanked mamasan while slipping her a 100 baht tip.

Forum member was keen to have a look at new bar Big Boy on Patpong 1 so we went there. Unlike Friday night which was quiet, there were other customers. Some ladies and straight couples. They looked like they had been persuaded in by promoters outside. Same number of 3 guys on stage. Once we sat there, the show began. The manager probably saw enough of a crowd (there weren't even 10 customers. Including us, it was 7 at best) to start the show. To be fair to the bar, the show was pretty good. The performers put in eftort including a dancer who came in just to dance his solo performance. Soon, another forum member joined us. After the show ended, the other customers left the bar. We stayed awhile more then we decided to go to Good Boy.

At Goodboy, three Filipino customers were seated with two boys (fully clothed) and enjoying a bottle of whisky. They had food brought in. Some sort of celebration.

The three of us sat at long sofa right at the back of the bar. We were next to the bartender and we could see the board where the mamasans wrote the individual number of boys working tonight. At the right side, there was a margin and written there were numbers of boys who had been offed by customers already. There were three numbers on the right while there were about 25 numbers on the left side.

Seated at table in front of the stage were two Asian ladies having a good time surrounded by 4 boys and one of them was Handsome Guy whom I offed yesterday. We exchanged knowing smiles as I went to sit with forum members at the back and get ready to watch the show. I was tempted to off Handsome Guy again since I didn't get to off Freshboys Abs Guy. But going to the front table and taking him away from the ladies doesn't seem like the right thing to do.

About half an hour later, a farang customer came in and the moment he sat down, he had 3 boys seated with him. Obviously a regular customer. He would off all 3 boys and I saw them at Foodland later having supper with them.

At close to 1am, we decided to call it a night. No offs for me tonight.

Forum member E and I stopped by at Midnight bar for a final round of drinks and we also played Connect Four board game with the waiters.

The next morning I woke up with good news on my phone. Before I slept, I had sent a message to Abs Guy to ask to meet him before he goes to work. His reply was yes and he asked for my address. I sent it to him and arranged a 7pm meeting time. I couldn't go to his bar to off him because I had karaoke at night.

I did some shopping in late morning. I was back in Silom at 2pm for lunch with forum members. Then I went to Adam Massage at 3pm with regular massage guy. Yesterday, he was one of the two guys who just arrived from Vietnam. During the massage, I asked him whether he found room to rent. He said unfortunately no. He and his friend had to stay temporarily with another friend.

After massage, I had a snack then I went to Sauna Mania for one hour. I had free entry coupon for weekday (Monday to Wednesday) which I had received when I went on Saturday. About 15 guys in dark maze. A bit of fun touches and gropping here and there but I spent half an hour on my phone while admiring 3 guys in the gym.

I went back to airbnb condo to get ready for 7pm appointment. I received a message at 6:30pm. Abs guy wanted me to know he might be late a few minutes because of bad traffic. At 7:00pm, he texted me to say he was downstairs. I went down and he explained that he didn't stay near Silom. He couldn't take motorcycle taxi. The taxi he was in had been stuck at a particular road and he was afraid he would be late. No big deal. Even if he had been late, i would wait for him! I was so attracted to his hard abs!

Abs Guy ticked most of my checklist and I am so glad to finally experience him, especially those hard abs. There was no way I could off him in the past when my guy was around. Mental note to off Abs Guy overnight. I know he's agreeable to stay until breakfast because one forum member offed him last year! After we washed up, I took Abs Guy to Foodland for dinner. At close to 9pm, he said thank you for everything and went to report for work at Freshboys.

I had promised karaoke to 3 guys - "Music" from Dreamboys and Handsome Guy and another guy from Good Boy. I had planned for a more intimate evening at smaller karaoke room at back of Happy Beer Garden instead of the big VIP room at h.i.m bar. because there were only 4 of us.

As we waited for "Music" to arrive (he went to have a haircut), I bumped into another guy at pool table bar. He was chilling out before going to work at Dreamboys. We chatted and I invited him to karaoke so there were 5 of us eventually.

Lady boss at Happy Beer Garden was pleased to see us. "I remember you come here karaoke," she said to me. I was surprised as that was 2 years ago. I expected her to usher us to the karaoke room at the back but she surprised me by opening a sliding door on the left wall a few steps away. They made a new karaoke room!

"Same price!" she said, probably expecting me to say I only needed a small room and didn't want to pay more for bigger room. This new room was more spacious than the room at the back. Long layout and very comfortable. We ordered a bottle of Thai whisky and food for karaoke for 3 hours. Midway, forum member E dropped by to join us.

In terms of price, karaoke at Happy Beer Garden cost about 5000 baht compared to 8000 baht at h.i.m. bar.

It was a fun night and we ended after midnight. I went back happy and  the next day I would go back to Singapore.

I kind of overspent on this trip. Exceeded my budget and was only left with about 1000 baht on last day.

Some incidents that I didn't remember to include when I recounted trip events.

I bumped into a Cambodian guy on Silom Road. He was going to gym. I asked him if he was still working at Dreamboys. He said no. He's a freelancer now. He said Dreamboys no longer hires Cambodians! 🤔

On the first night, while I was walking along Silom Road back to soi 3 with "Music", someone tapped me on my shoulder. I turned around and saw it was a Laos guy who works at Freshboys. He was with a farang customer. They crossed the road to go to Ibis Styles Hotel while I continued walking on and would only cross Silom Road at next crossing. I am surprised that Laos guy would call out to me. I always thought bar boy etiquette when they are with a customer is to pretend not to notice and certainly not to talk to other customers. I hope his customer that night wasn't mad at him!

During karaoke, I asked Handsome Guy about the two Asian lady customers that he and 3 other boys were with at Good Boy bar the previous night. Did the ladies off them?

"No. They come bar drinking only. They buy boy drink. 4 boy. Show finish they go back. No tip." 😭
