First Time in Bangkok - May 2026 Trip Report

I’ve been planning my first visit to Bangkok (with a lot of help from this forum) for some time now, and tomorrow I finally fly out there for three days. Short visit I know, but I added it to the end of a three week vacation in Europe. Plan is to explore the scene, and return (I’m only a six hour flight away normally) for long weekends.

For this first visit, I decided to book a massage per day to start with. Thanks to @GoldMember & @MichaelJay70’s detailed reports, I booked with Ruj (TCS), Singha (S’Sense) and Sunji (History of Massages), in that order. I originally was meant to be in Bangkok for four days, and had booked Copper at History (pics attached) for my first massage - haven’t seen any reviews of him on here, but his photos were outstanding - but had to shorten my trip by a day and he was already booked out for the rest of my stay, so next time!

I’m a huge foodie, so have a couple of dinners booked in amazing spots. Other than that, everything else will be playing it by ear. I’ve downloaded Hornet (already have Grindr) and sounds like there are plenty of $$ and free options to explore there. Also planning to visit boy bars, Dreamboys and Midnight seem to be closest to offering my type (trunk model/fitness guys). Thanks to the forum, I feel knowledge equipped to handle the mamasans, drink buying, tips and offing should I meet someone I like.

Anyway, just wanted to start this off, and will update as I can. So grateful for this forum and the collective wisdom it offers

Three days, and you'll become addicted, and be planning a longer trip soon.  

I think you are looking for Moonlight, not Midnight.  Moonlight is a go go bar with muscular hunks.  Midnight is a gay open air beer bar.  You can visit both, they're just a short walk apart.

Enjoy your time in Bangkok.

You’re right, I meant Moonlight, but Midnight also sounds worth a visit!

so I just realised it’s going to be PRIDE weekend in Bangkok! I imagine that will make things very busy in the boy bars and clubs.

Midnight is worth a visit because of one waiter. He has muscles like the guys in Moonlight!

Exactly where is the Midnight bar relative to say the Moonlight and Good Boys?

Midnight bar is near Good Boy. It is a beer bar on the first level along Patpong soi 2. It used to be known as Hot Male beer bar.

If you come out of Good Boy Bar turn left, then immediately right and you arrive on Patpong Soi 2. Turn left. The bar on your left is Dragon bar with a pool table; the next bar you see is Midnight Bar.

I think I know who you are talking about ! There are also few cute ones, I was impressed in Jan by new Lao guy there.
