First Time in Bangkok - May 2026 Trip Report

I’ve been planning my first visit to Bangkok (with a lot of help from this forum) for some time now, and tomorrow I finally fly out there for three days. Short visit I know, but I added it to the end of a three week vacation in Europe. Plan is to explore the scene, and return (I’m only a six hour flight away normally) for long weekends.

For this first visit, I decided to book a massage per day to start with. Thanks to @GoldMember & @MichaelJay70’s detailed reports, I booked with Ruj (TCS), Singha (S’Sense) and Sunji (History of Massages), in that order. I originally was meant to be in Bangkok for four days, and had booked Copper at History (pics attached) for my first massage - haven’t seen any reviews of him on here, but his photos were outstanding - but had to shorten my trip by a day and he was already booked out for the rest of my stay, so next time!

I’m a huge foodie, so have a couple of dinners booked in amazing spots. Other than that, everything else will be playing it by ear. I’ve downloaded Hornet (already have Grindr) and sounds like there are plenty of $$ and free options to explore there. Also planning to visit boy bars, Dreamboys and Midnight seem to be closest to offering my type (trunk model/fitness guys). Thanks to the forum, I feel knowledge equipped to handle the mamasans, drink buying, tips and offing should I meet someone I like.

Anyway, just wanted to start this off, and will update as I can. So grateful for this forum and the collective wisdom it offers

I think you are looking for Moonlight, not Midnight.  Moonlight is a go go bar with muscular hunks.  Midnight is a gay open air beer bar.  You can visit both, they're just a short walk apart.

so I just realised it’s going to be PRIDE weekend in Bangkok! I imagine that will make things very busy in the boy bars and clubs.

Midnight bar is near Good Boy. It is a beer bar on the first level along Patpong soi 2. It used to be known as Hot Male beer bar.

If you come out of Good Boy Bar turn left, then immediately right and you arrive on Patpong Soi 2. Turn left. The bar on your left is Dragon bar with a pool table; the next bar you see is Midnight Bar.

ok, this report is coming later than I anticipated, but work/life has been so busy since returning from my travels. Anyway, this is my first attempt at one of these reports, so I hope it's helpful/vaguely interesting lol...

Day 1 - 

The day before my flight to Bangkok, I realized I hadn't been sent a check in text, so looked at my email and saw that Thai Airways had cancelled my flight and rescheduled me for the following day! I was both nervous and excited, as this was my first time with a massage guy, and I felt like I knew what to expect from reading the great trip reports on here. Upon arriving at TCS, Ruj came and greeted me in reception then took me up to the room. I had downloaded google translate Thai so was able to communicate with him via that. Based on recommendations on here, I was upfront that I was looking for a full boy 2 body experience. In retrospect, I think it would've been better with this particular guy to let things proceed naturally, as he seemed almost annoyed by my texts stating what I wanted before we even got started. when I travel , in case of such early arrival I always book hotel for previous night so I have an access to the room immediately. Specially in SE Asia where affordable hotels abound it's not such big financial sacrifice.

now, after first experience you are seasoned  Bangkok pro and hope rest of your stay there was even more exciting

Can I ask those who perhaps have more experience with TCS, what is the expectation we should have there?

Is it more of the Saphan Kwai/Arena type where sex is expected or is it a place where sex depends on the masseur (if at all) and only HJ should be expected?

I have been to the TCS Charoenkrung (near Asiatiaque by the river). This is a fairly upscale “S/SS” place. This means that you do not pay a larger upfront flat fee tip, the minimum tip is stated (usually it’s 500-2000 minimum) paid directly to the provider after discussing it during the service. Usually, the provider will discuss what they can do for you as an “after”, but it’s usually a “soft” or “super soft” (HJ or Body2body respectively), but COULD be more. They don’t guarantee a sex service.in my personal experience, I have had providers who did not speak English and I cannot speak Thai…. Because of this… the provider often just “goes with the flow” and does not pause to negotiate “after” service for an additional tip. like in all of those places, actual massage is part of decorum although with luck , odd guy may forget himself and actually do quite a good real massage work.

Ah I see. And these are conversations that happen after you've picked a guy and are in the room with him?

 

Presumably, with places like this, it is not a conversation you will have with the manager on the role, what the guy can do etc. before deciding on who to go with (as with some of the more "hard" massage centres)?
