September 27Sep 27 Poor Foolish must have been at Changi around 10am Singapore time, one hour ahead of Bangkok. For him it must be 2am or so, and he is still in a line at the airport. Quite appalling. At least hebisbthrough immigration. Then there is transport to hotel or wherever. Hopefully that is still running.

The Thai flights after mine from Singapore were luckier. They got their luggage pretty fast while mine is stuck somewhere in limbo hahaThere's probably been a mix up of some sort and they don't have sufficient staff to manage the crisis. Make sure you take pics of all the documents you fill in and also, very discreetly, of the officer handling your case and their name tag. I would've thought there'd be some online form you could fill up for this sort of thing.

When i ask the staff if I can leave after submitting the form, they can't even provide an answer. So it's basically very poor handling by Thai Airway...
September 27Sep 27 Thanks everyone for your concern 🥰Still queueing but at least I'm near the end now. It's been a lousy day but this will make tomorrow all the much better 🤭

Once the bags pile up, it all gets out of control, and no one can find anything. To coin a phrase, it's a perfect stormJust a couple of observations of the last couple of days. As I said before, pretty quiet, even though weather has been dry. Last night, I looked down one corridor of Patpong market, and there wasn't a single shopper. This also means not much business for the girly bars. I was adding a new Lao stamp to my collection, so again, did not go into the go go bars, but I did walk down Patpong 2 from G's (nice meal as usual) and again, few people, and barkers not interested. Guido said there was no immediate lease termination, could be one year, 2, 3 or whatever. But he is not the most reliable source. He did say that G's in Pattaya now has a cat!Still a lot of activity on Grindr, for me, more than half a dozen very acceptable offers, my new stamp came from there. Quite persistent, some of them, so I assume business is slow. Meal at Wine connection with forum member, and colleague, and coffee at G's, rather attractive new waiter! Coffee at G's was the best I've had in Bangkok!

September 29Sep 29 Heard an interesting comment from local friends. Story is that airport/Thai Airways, prioritised Thai Airways partner airlines, so Thai itself avoided penalties, thereby leaving Thai passengers up creek sans paddle. Sounds plausible!

September 29Sep 29 Now that @jimmie50 has reappeared in the Cambodia forum, to everyone's relief, @Foolish is missing in action. Last we heard, he was in a massive queue to file a baggage report. I hope he didn't have to spend all night at Suvarnabhumi in that queue, or better yet, I hope he's been reunited with his luggage by now. It's a very upsetting way to start a holiday.
