  • On the second day, there wasn’t much activity planned. I just lazily stayed in my room without doing anything. After breakfast, I went to the hotel’s communal space to get some of my office work done.

Thank you for taking the trouble to write these reviews. They're very much to the point with useful information, though as you yourself said, ultimately taste can differ. But the information about shops and pricing are definitely helpful.

Glad you enjoyed the aerobics at Lumpini Park! I love it!

After dinner, I headed back to my hotel and got ready for some fresh air at Lumphini Park. I walked for about 10 minutes to the main entrance and came across an aerobic dance session. I decided to join in, almost two hours had passed! It was so much fun.

After that, I went for one round of jogging before deciding to head back to the hotel.

I hope you guys are all well. I could imagine going after the guy in the bathtub in another bathtub, but I think it's AI-generated anyway. Good luck to you currently in TH and all the Thai

I'm arriving in Bangkok tomorrow. Now I'm stressed if I can even get to my hotel (56 Surawong) from the airport by grab 😅

Yes you can. Surawong Road is not flooded according to my guy.

If I were you, I would strongly suggest that you avoid Grab and instead take the ARL (Airport Rail Link) and then the BTS to Sala Deng.

Many roads are flooded and the Grab car might get stuck in monsoon traffic.

By using the elevated ARL + BTS transportation systems you will glide above all of the flooding below down on the streets.

Note that this transportation solution will only work if you arrive before the ARL + BTS sytem shuts down around midnight.

Yes, I also checked with the hotel and they say it's fine around the area

I'm arriving around noon. Never taken the ARL before but it seems to be the best option now haha

Yes. It's not just about Silom and Surawong but the long route from the airport to get there.

All 50 Bangkok districts declared disaster zones as flood...

It usually subsides quickly if the rain stops and the flood waters aren't too deep but workers living in areas which have been badly flooded may have to skip a day of work or two.

Glad to hear you got in safe and sound and without much hassle. I hope you're feeling better too.

Six hours?! 😮 Driving from KL to Singapore takes a shorter time than that.

Staggered to late breakfast. Dire weather warnings for today, forecast rain 95%, and yet, it's dry outside, almost pleasant! weird.
