Why we love 'em so much...? 'Sexual depravity' of penguins that Antarctic scientist dared not reveal Landmark polar research about the Adelie penguin's sex life by Captain Scott's expedition, deemed too shocking for the public 100 years ago, is unearthed at the Natural History Museum Robin McKie, science editor guardian.co.uk, Saturday 9 June 2012 06.31 EDT Dr George Murray Levick's observations of Adelie penguins were recorded in his notebook. Apparently folks, even intelligence types, just can't keep their mouths shut when there's a juicy story to be told. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/01/wo...ewanted=1&_r=1 I keep telling people, the perfect case against all those alien visitation conspiracy theories is that the government of the United States is absolutely incapable of keeping a real secret for long. Somebody's gonna tell all, come hell or high water. Washington spreads info faster than my mom's old beauty parlor.

A southern lady is shivering alone in cold in Seattle. Where is my hubby? I thought it would be hot here but it's a bit chilly.. I hope I don't have to fight with one of seattle forum members over a pair of shoes.

There are so many Gay men and women that have caused the so called straight world to take notice of us. I thought it might be cool if we noted 3 of these people .. just 3 please ... and build a list. They can be activists, musicians, sports stars, actors, policemen ... I'm sure you get the idea. Also just a few words about who they are / were in case some of us do not recognize the name. Dan Savage - Founder of the It Gets Better project which reaches out to bullied and self questioning youth. Brian Epstein - The man who brought the Beatles to the world. Harvey Milk - California Board of Supervisors, who was he first openly Gay man elected to public office in Californi…

I found this little stat interesting ... This spring was the warmest on record across the contiguous U.S., scientists reported Thursday. On top of that, spring was 5.2 degrees warmer than average -- the largest temperature variance for any season on record. ---- Maybe it was caused by all the heat OZ generated while living in Los Angeles the past few months ----- OR possibly EXPATS keyboarding sparked up the heat as he worked 24/7 to hit his contest numbers ----- OR possibly all the hot pics that were posted in the forum over the past few months created the extra warmth

Another great talent has left us today with the death of Ray Bradbury. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/science-fiction-author-ray-bradbury-dies-144137431.html Although he is better known for Fahrentheit 451 and The Martian Chronicles, it's the books I read when I was younger, Dandelion Wine (which captured the essence of a child's summer) and Something Wicked This Way Comes that first come to mind for me. Any other Bradbury fans here?

Bob Welch the influential guitarist and vocalist for Fleetwood Mac in the early 70s and had a brief solo career in the late 70s committed suicide today at age 65. As a solo artist his biggest hit was a song he wrote and recorded with Fleetwood Mac, 5 years later he recorded it again for his solo debut called, French Kiss, The song, Sentimental Lady. Bob is one of those songs you've probably heard but had no clue who did it. Anyway I find his death very disturbing. Such a shame. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvdD1PJYsy0

I guess it’s time we all started uploading our karaoke efforts on to You Tube! It’s most famous discovery, Justin Bieber, is about to launch his 2nd fragrance called “Girlfriend”. His first “Some Day”, launched a year ago, became the best-selling celebrity fragrance ever! I remember reading somewhere that Elizabeth Taylor’s perfume range was her biggest earner. So young Mr. B’s fortunes are clearly skyrocketing. Now what would sales be like if Adam Lambert came out with a fragrance for men? Would “Boyfriend” outsell “Girlfriend”, I wonder?

Adapted from the NY Times: FRAGRANCE counters could soon be catching another case of Bieber Fever as they begin selling a second celebrity scent from the young singer Justin Bieber. "Boyfriend," will offer gay male fans the opportunity to wear the scent of Bieber as simulated after a homosexual experience involving the anus. A campaign to promote Justin Bieber’s Boyfriend, the new men’s fragrance, will include print ads but will focus on social media like Tumblr and Twitter. His Twitter feed is followed by almost 22.9 million people. Scratch and Sniff ads will be published in prominent gay magazines. Fragrance No. 2, called Justin Bieber’s Boyfriend, is scheduled …

We'll sadly hear no more' live' renditions by the Bee Gees of their iconic hit "Stayin' Alive". No doubt people will still be playing it 50 years from now. But did you know that some of the great stars of the past were dancing to it 50 or so years before the world first heard it? This is clever!

I never thought I'd live to see this happen. But, in today's Pride Parade in Salt Lake City, over 300 straight Mormons marched in support. TampaYankee is amazing to work with and I have always enjoyed his sense of humor and his compassionate spirit. I met him many years ago in Montreal. He was so lively and having such a great time. We became instant friends. A short time after that, I knew that I was going to do this site and there was no one I wanted to partner with more than TY. It has been over 6 years and there is no way I could have done this site without him. He is often quietly in the background as I am a bit louder and a tad more flamboyant. But, he is amazing to work with and ever present with every aspect of this site. Thank you TY for putting up with all my shit over the years. Thank you f…
