I thought I would get the scoop on this story here, but nothing! EXPAT, hop to! TMZ is reporting that gay icon Donna Summer has died, and we want details! Is it true, for one? Apparently, the 63 year old singer succumbed to cancer...

I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this. Ever since Obama expressed his support for gay marriage, the religious right has attacked on all fronts and now we have this. Pastor Charles L. Worley of Providence Road Baptist Church is seen here from a service posted to the church's website dated May 13, 2012 calling for the starvation and ultimate death of "queers and homosexuals." it doesn't get any more insanely vehement than this. It is plain hate, pure and simple. This is the ultimate in obscenity. Offensive to humanity everywhere. This Church should have its tax-exempt status withdrawn at the very least. This is NOT Christianity. http://youtu.be/d2n7v…

I was reading about this and supposedly due to the traffice jam on so many trying to summit at the same time while going through the "death zone," http://www.buzzfeed.com/toddvanluling/dead-bodies-on-mount-everest "The first question which you will ask and which I must try to answer is this, 'What is the use of climbing Mount Everest?' and my answer must at once be, 'It is no use'. There is not the slightest prospect of any gain whatsoever. Oh, we may learn a little about the behavior of the human body at high altitudes, and possibly medical men may turn our observation to some account for the purposes of aviation. But otherwise nothing will come of it. We shall not bri…

Awhile ago I was offered this program thru American and this past week flying from LAX to Miami, which are two of the airports involved I got to experience the expedited process. The best part is you go thru a separate lane even from the frequente flyer lanes the airlines have for their tiered members. the reason I think is that the metal decectors are set lower so that belt buckles etc don't set it off. You don't have to remove your liquids out of your carryone or take off your shoes and jacket or remove your LAPTOP!!. Both at Lax and at Miami I was the only one going thru this lane while the regular lanes where packed! Here's the info on it.

There’s an interesting article in today’s Guardian about the add-on fees which European low cost carriers slap on unwary flyers now that the high season is here. The worst offender appears to be the one with the lowest “printed” fares – Ryannair. Want to take one 20kg bag with you, Ryannair levies a charge that varies from £70 - £80. But that’s only if you book your bag in advance on the website. Turn up at the airport and the fee rises to £130! Want to stuff your on-board bag to the limit to avoid those fees? Well, go over that on-board limit by a few grams and Ryannair adds a flat £50 additional fee. The Guardian survey discovered that on one airline you ca…

Green Day inducts Guns 'N Roses in what really turns out to be a emotional event. If you do not know Axl Rose and Izzy Straddlin are MIA. Steven Adler the bands first drummer who was kicked out due to extreme drug use and unable to play and given little money after two albums was replaced by Matt Sorum who is also there. btw Steven Adler's acceptance speech is really a class act. AND below is one of two songs they performed. Gilby Clarke who used to be a real hottie fills in on guitar for Izzy and Myles Kennedy who I do not know much about does a priceless job filling in for Axl. Oh and Steven Adler plays witht he band for the first time in 20 years or so.
