The opposite, I got very slightly hairier with prolonged use. Back to normal after stopping for a couple of months.

    Hehe, cool
This trip I saw a Russian guy in apps, who I am certain I saw before in Moscow offering service. And I saw such the cases in Thailand before.
Most of working guys in Malaysia, as I understand, are foreigners. Singapore is the most profitable, of coz, but if one hasn't convinced S'pore immigration, he always could spent time in Johor aiming to the same S'pore clientele.
But it involves higher lodging and living expenses, when in BKK there is a huge supply from local guys, who just do it as a side job, as I understand...

The proposal by z909 is a good one especially for the inhibited and unsophisticated moneyboys to go about using banking services for their own advantage. Since almost all of them are already using smartphones,  they will easily appreciate the simplicity of online banking and avoid entrapment by middlemen in the streets.
Cash can be squandered inadvertently on friends and alcohol etc.

Relax, I think vinapu was just kidding.
I also didn't think colmx was being judgmental and was only sharing his perspective on hotels and offs. From his post I didn't get the impression that he was projecting his money issues on anyone or that he even had money issues.

The difference is that most punters will want to visit 4-5 bars in a night and see going on in each place before choosing an off, so its not an occasional luxury, its multiple luxuries in the same night....nobody wants 5 steak dinners in the same night!
And lets face it Jupiter is merely a gourmet burger, and should cost no more than that!

I think the opposite is probably true in my experience
I reckon he started out as a rank-and-file MB, and has now decided that he's worth more, its definitely more common for bar boy to turn to model and then unavailable as they become more muscular (and more desirable to a subset of customers)
    Not uncommon
And in fairness... he's not wrong, he is spectacularly handsome!

Not to wade into this argument, but I’d like to point out that I’ve stayed in both price brackets and there is a difference, mainly to do with my own comfort, ease of mind and getting myself into a well deserved “holiday” mood.
I didn’t take colmx’s post as judgmental and can fully see his perspective. But my preference has always been towards the nicer hotels. Why? I make a decent salary, really value my hard earned short visits to Bangkok (which give me a much needed mental and physical break) and don’t want to deal with the hassle of any hotel malfunctions which might put any of my 2 or 3 or 4 days out of kilter. These visits are usually sandwiched in between intense work periods and I NEED that little oasis of peace and enjoyment so as not to go stir crazy. If I was on a two or three week Bangkok trip where my only focus was boys, I would obviously opt for something more economical but I’ve simply never had the luxury of staying that long.
I’ve often thought that I over spend on hotels. Also on food, on taking Grab instead of spending five minutes to negotiate a taxi meter, on drunkenly splashing out on drinks for myself and my boys. I admire those of you who have been prudent and are now enjoying a better retirement lifestyle for your savings. Am starting to consider how I can cut back in order to put more towards my retirement fund.
But my point is- you will never understand others’ motivations nor where they penny pinch to give themselves some luxuries. So don’t shoot them down for it, please. For a first timer like BenG1000, I can absolutely see why he would want everything to go like clockwork and is willing to spend to make that happen. We already know nothing in Bangkok goes according to plan! So let the man have his comfort.
To the main part of my post - boys and how they respond to expensive hotels. I have NEVER experienced a boy who sulked upon receiving an agreed upon tip (or a fair going rate) simply on the basis that I stay in a good hotel, and therefore should offer more. Boys know that tips are given based on service and chemistry. Instead I find they put their best foot forward if they believe I am a well-heeled customer (pun unintentional) as they hope for a second off, perhaps with a little extra the next time.
The younger boys who are newer to the money boy business love taking selfies in a posh hotel - it boosts their status in the eyes of their mates. And they’re always delighted with the comfortable bed and roomy showers, it puts them in a good mood and sets the tone I find. Even helps me to persuade one or two to long time, with the temptation of trying an expensive hotel breakfast the following day. I find most of them posing for selfies next to the hot plates and juice station! It actually warms my heart that I can offer them this little pleasure (seeing a fancy hotel, being treated like a proper customer in the dining room) so they have racked up some experience for their future “careers”. At first shy and awkward on their initial visit, nothing delights me more than seeing a boy come back on my next trip and strut into breakfast like he owns the place.
And, because I like older boys in general, these boys tend to be more experienced. They have been literally everywhere with wealthy Asian customers, even flown business class - a five star hotel means nothing to them. I was just told of a Moonlight model who was paid 100K to travel with a customer for 3 days. They gently put me off when I suggest ordering room service “room service no good, I bring you outside eat khao mun gai, my friend mother cooking”. So a 2 am jaunt for street food it is.
Moral of my long ramble - if a boy is greedy, he will be greedy everywhere, hotel or no. Toss this one aside. If a boy is genuinely the lovely sort of boy you want to have with you, he will just try that much harder if he hopes to keep your business.

@DivineMadman I didn't try and piss in anyone's punchbowl. I was simply pointing out:
    1. There is much better value in Bkk away from the international chains, I never mentioned projection or anything else, that YOU are projecting onto what I said!
    2. Expectations change when the boy arrives in a hotel, suddenly the 2500 ST that he agreed with you at the bar feels cheap when he arrives at the 8000B a night hotel (W being 8000, Raya being the 3000 option), this in turn may lead to a lesser performance as they are feeling short changed. Of course this is not every boy, but with some it happens
    3. On the bar point I simply pointed out that as the OP has already stated he is a bottom he would have better luck in Screw boys for finding a top twink type guy
Seems you are very tetchy this morning, the OP is a newbie and I think its only fair that he receives balanced advice of all our combined experiences

Wow.  So if someone stays at Le Meridien they're "precious."  Sad that you feel the need to criticize people like that.  It's the usual shit about people projecting their money issues onto others.  If someone wants to spend their money on X, Y or Z, they should be free to do so.  Can't imagine how this negativity makes you or the world a happier or better place.  Do you really walk by nice hotels thinking such bad thoughts about the strangers who stay there????
And if the customer has left the bar and he and his guy has already set on the standard short-time or long-time tip, expectations are set and that's s non-issue.  Maybe the guy will like being taken to a Le Meridien or Crowne Plaza or Raya.
Also, there are tons of twinks who happily both or top, even at Classic Boys.  If the OP twinks, why not take him at his word.  If the OP wants to stay at the W, why piss in the punchbowl.

Ok, so let's do this over.  I go in to XBoys and enjoy one and sometime two bottles of beer checking out which boy(s) I like.  I call the boy over and I want to know:
    1.  top, bottom, both, other
    2. his tip.
That is all I want to know.  The bar gets the funds from the beer and from the bar fee for the off.  So why is this silly man telling me that this can not be done; that in order to take a boy off you have to buy him drink!
The result is that I have not been back.  No wonder they are having problems there.
GET RID of this demanding man!

There are some in BBB, indeed - can confirm from yesterday visit
as for nipples and tattoo - most of the boys were in their shirts, just 3 or 4 were shirtless. Although a manager suggest a boy could rise its shirt, if it needed. Would be nice to witness a guest searching a special tattoo on the all boys in row

Of course it was a joke. Party   I will not complain about their English, if they could speak Russian
The reason was to add a bit perspective to this Anglo Saxon centered over polite discussion. As it was mentioned earlier there are more English non-native speakers in the world, then native ones. So if it would be a kind of rude for native English speakers to expect it, but for non-natives, who managed to learn some English additionally to their French, Russian, German, Polish etc, it looks a bit more reasonable.
Saying this, I should tell I always grateful for native English speakers who employ this rule for themselves and told me "Don't be shy about your non-fluent English, coz l don't know a word in Russian" and for Thais with their "Khun Ratseya pud pasaa Thai dai di mak" (the later is pure flattering, of course, I know just a hundred words in Thai and mispronounce tones. Always wanted to ask Christian how to ask "what about long time?" in Thai)
