    From Reuters
Activists say Thailand's prostitution law, which criminalises sex work, does little to protect sex workers
    By Nanchanok Wongsamuth
BANGKOK, Sept 22 (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - Sex workers in Thailand have launched a petition calling for prostitution to be decriminalised and urging authorities to remove all penalties for selling sex.
Empower Foundation, a Chiang Mai-based group that supports sex workers, said it hoped to collect 10,000 signatures and present the petition to parliament to help persuade lawmakers to consider changing the country's prostitution law.
"The law punishes sex workers - 80% of whom are mothers and the main breadwinner for the whole family," said Mai Junta, a representative from Empower.
"It turns us into criminals," she told the Thomson Reuters Foundation on Tuesday.
More than 1,000 people had signed the petition since it was launched on Saturday.
Thailand is predominantly Buddhist and deeply conservative, but is home to an extensive sex industry, largely catering to Thai men.
Hordes of tourists also flock to the bright lights of go-go bars and massage parlours in the Thai capital Bangkok, and the country's main tourist towns.
Women and LGBT+ rights activists say the current law, which made prostitution illegal in 1960, does little to protect sex workers, while repeated arrests and fines for doing sex work has driven them further into poverty.
The women's affairs department at Thailand's Ministry of Social Development and Human Security said it was in the process of amending the prostitution law and would launch an online public hearing next year, without giving further details.
"We are aware of complaints regarding rights violations of sex workers due to this law... and we are not neglecting their suggestions (to repeal the law)," a spokesman said.
A 2014 report by the U.N. agency fighting AIDS estimated that there were 123,530 sex workers in Thailand but advocacy groups put the figure at more than twice that number and say it includes tens of thousands of migrants from neighbouring Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.
Prostitution is currently punishable by a fine of up to 40,000 baht ($1,274) or two years in prison, or both. People who pay for sex with underage workers can be jailed for up to six years.
More than 24,000 people were arrested, prosecuted and fined for sex work-related offences in Thailand last year, according to the Royal Thai Police.
Surang Janyam, director of the Service Workers in Group, a Thailand-based support organisation for sex workers, said the prostitution law should be repealed to allow sex workers to be protected under labour laws.

muscfair reacted to reader in TAT says country ready to reopen
    From Bangkok Post
Risk plan can handle any new infections
Thailand will have to tolerate the possibility of new coronavirus cases when it reopens its borders to international tourists, but the country can minimise the impact and avoid a bruising level of unemployment with risk management, says the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).
After the country reported its first local transmission in 100 days last week, the TAT downgraded its 2020 estimates to 70 million domestic trips from 80 million, contributing 418 billion baht in revenue, a decrease of 61% from 2019.
International arrivals remain unchanged at 6.7 million, the same forecast before the border closure, with revenue of 332 billion baht, down 65% from 2019.
"We have to bring in tourists by the last quarter as the domestic market alone cannot keep tourism workers employed. If we keep delaying their entry, around 2.5 million jobs out of 4 million will be at risk," said TAT governor Yuthasak Supasorn.
To reopen the country to tourists, the government should implement a careful plan and improve communications to avoid local opposition, said Mr Yuthasak.
The current plan is to open the country to international tourists with a limited number of arrivals and locations. Arrivals have to comply with strict safety and health measures and the same screening and surveillance procedures as Thai returnees.
If the pilot model succeeds, Thailand will allow more tourists and more destinations to join the scheme.
"We cannot avoid new cases, but the most important thing is to have risk management in place. If there are five cases among 5 million tourists, and we can contain those infections with stringent measures, that would be a good balance between public health and business survival," he said.
Meanwhile, the TAT plans to propose to the cabinet next week a special tourist visa scheme for long-stay visitors that costs around 2,000 baht and can be extended up to 270 days.
The TAT is working with the private sector on the next step, finding safety measures viable for short-haul visitors who cannot stay for a two-week quarantine. This plan require need bilateral agreements with targeted countries, said Mr Yuthasak.
Marisa Sukosol Nunbhakdi, president of the Thai Hotels Association, said zero infections is an unrealistic target for the tourism industry. The country should find a balance between risk and gain, she said.
The Public Health Ministry must inform the public alternative state quarantine (ASQ) hotels in tourism destinations will have the same standards as those in Bangkok, said Mrs Marisa. If certified hotels operated with no problems the past few months, the plan to welcome tourists to those ASQ properties will not trigger new cases, she said.

A rainy Friday night so I headed over to Tawan, thinking there might be very few customers and the guys might  be eager for some tip money. Indeed, when I arrived at 10:15, there was exactly one customer inside. No show, so no cover charge. The guys were wearing street clothes, taking only their shirt off for the on-stage rotation, and looking bored to death.
I announced that I would buy drinks for any naked boys and immediately had several takers. The only other customer took an off, which left me as the only customer, drinking with a bunch of naked guys. I said I wanted to see a show, so two of them got up on stage and sucked each other's cocks, licked each other all over, etc. It was great fun, they were very good sports about it, and it was much sexier without the silly costumes or masks they normally wear.  In the end, I tipped everybody who had participated, including the DJ and the bartender.
I dropped a couple of thousand baht, but it was worth it for what was essentially a private party, and everybody seemed grateful to have someone actually willing to engage with them. I have been lucky enough to still have work during the virus, so I don't mind sharing a little bit with those who are currently struggling, especially when I get a lot attention in return as I did on Friday. The guys in there have been very good to me over the years and so I was  happy to provide them with a little something during tough times.
I'll probably drop in again in a few weeks and do it again.

Back to the thread topic of gay nightlife:
I was at Soi 2 / DJ Station last night. Not wall-to-wall packed as it would be on a pre-Covid Saturday, but still very busy. Only the second floor was pretty empty, but ground floor very busy. Inside DJ Station from time to time they made an announcement over the PA asking people to put on their masks and to observe social distancing. The latter wasn't happening at all (impossible anyway), masks were up and down frequently, but on most people down most of the time (everyone had their drinks to take care of). Might as well leave the masks off entirely.

To continue...in my bed, Mr. Cute2x guy and I both s*ck each other before doing 69...ah he's really great. Then I asked him if I can kiss him on the lips this time bcoz he never kiss, that's his limitation. To my surprise he agreed, again with a smile, so I immediately kiss him on the lips and he even let out his tongue. Wow, I'm enjoying this.

Then, I asked him to turn around, in a doggy style and spread the cheeks of his *ss fully exposing his h*l*. I started licking it and making my tongue hard again so I can move it in and out his h*l*. He's moaning and groaning again while I'm doing it.

Then, after r*mm*ng him, I put a lube on my middle finger and slowly insert it again on his h*l*. I really love his tightness. He scream again when moved my finger in and out fast.

Then I moved him in a side position without removing my finger and continue moving it in and out. He was really breathing hard while I'm doing it.

Afterwards, lying on his back, I raised his legs and still continue moving my middle finger in and out, making sure I reach the farthest in every thrust. To my surprise, he immediately c*m. Nice load.

Then I asked him to give me a h*ndj*b, but I laughed on his reaction. His energy was so drained he could not move. I said "oh you really got tired" and he just nod. I think I could even rape him and he don't have the strength to resist, just kidding. I just m*st*rb*t* while he rest 1st. I also c*m while smiling on him, he could not even move an inch, haa haa.

Then we showered together and said goodbye to each other. Alone in my bed, I miss Mr. Perfect Guy which sent a message thru Line that he can only meet me on my last night @ BKK, sigh. On the evening, I decided to go to Boys Bangkok. TO BE CONTINUED

Some boys may be still reluctant for fear of being seen with customer so my still suggest you pay fee regardless of timing ( I had one such case , not in Moonlight)

Tawan muscular guys, dreamboys model like boys, handsome, and muscular/fit/lean. The like of which u could see in magazines. Tawan, maybe 15-20 boys during peak nights, dreamboys 30-40 boys. Tawan shows are more revealing but dreamboy shows are more artistic, involves rehearsals and training to do. Tawan is located off the main gay streets, dreamboys is in soi twilight. I do believe dreamboys can justify their 100bath extra in drink/entry/show prices due to the above. I asked one of the boy before, each show they join in dreamboys, they get 100baht, and 200 baht for big cock show, and they probably have around 10 acts all together. No idea what tawan guys get for the shows, and they have 4-5 acts, which might be repeated on busy nights. Having said that, each bar have their strong points, and i like both of the bars equally, and jupiter too. Moonlight is my wishlist now. Im not a big fan of bars though, i dont drink, and dont like the loud music, so my opinion is purely on the shows and boys.
Id more willing to buy drinks for boys in jupiter though, but prefer to just tip boys in tawan/dreamboys. So in the end of the day, my budget is still my control. Also dreamboy boys knows their bar is expensive, so they are more willing to give their contact and have us take them without going to the bar each time.

I always at least make one visit to see Jupiter show when in BKK but this time because Tawan' star Mekhin moved to Jupiter, I had an extra motivation to make a short taxi ride to be there for morale support. Like he needs any from me?! Lol

I arrived just before 10pm but the bar was almost full.
Since then there were a stream of customers coming in wave after wave, almost frightening. It was full house up till 2nd floor.
All Chinese and I couldn't see one farang in sight.

The star of Jupiter is still Mr Attitude #20.
He may have spent millions to his dental work but it's almost irritating to see him flash his smile every given opportunities.
I think they are making a shift towards hunky model type more so than before. A few years back there were some twinks but now nope there aren't any twinks. Number of boys smaller but almost all boys are like models with muscled body.

As for Mekhin, he made a short one round on stage at intermission of the show and off he goes with a Chinese customer. His number #73 and he calls himself Meh or Mickey because no customer could pronounce his name properly.
His hair was neatly styled to Jupiter's required standard lol
Personally I liked #74 moody face without a hint of smile with a killer six packs.

At the end of the show, I could see almost all the boys were offed thanks to Chinese customers.

muscfair reacted to Jasper in Interview with Mr Mekhin
I had a pleasure speaking with Mr Mekhin recently and I would like to share the experience with the fellow Tawan followers in this forum.

I was having a drink with a Tawan boy in Thanya one evening and he casually informed me that his friend recently is back from Chaing Mai and joining us. It turns out his friend was Mekhin!
I admit I was nervous like a Man U fan in front of David Beckham but I managed not to stare him. Since one member here informed us that he moved from Tawan to Jupiter, I just could not stop myself from asking this recent transfer saga.

I wasn't sure how he would react my potential irritating question at his private time but overall impression I got from him was nothing diva like I was afraid but rather sincere decent guy.
I only watched him at Tawan a few times in June but at that time he was wearing his hair longish and a kind of rough looking and wondering how he would fit in to Jupiter boy's clean cut image.
Mekhin sitting in front of me was in dressed in dark street clothes he looks quite small for a musculine guy his hair cut short clean shaven looking much younger than he did in June. Most surprising (for me) was his voice quiet softly spoken.

I strung up my courage and asked him.
"Hello, can I ask you some questions"
"Yes" Like you could say no to me?
"Why did you move from Tawan to Jupiter" ok there is no subtlety here lol
Mekhin turn to the Tawan boy and asked how I knew the move in Thai. So I was told later on.
" Because you are famous" and I smiled.
There was unconfirmed report that he was in China with a customer for one month and when he returned he moved to Jupiter.

Mekhin replied " there were not many customer in Tawan"
I could not ask further if he was out priced himself, customer got bored with him after so many years or something he did not want to disclose to a stranger.
" so now you are in Jupiter, are there many customer?"
    " yes "
" so you are happy now"
    "Yes"
He then said all his customers in Jupiter are Chinese.
"Some gay some straight" exact words
I said " there are many girl customer too"
    He smiled.
I told him there is this reputation about Jupiter boy that many farangs are not happy with. Some customer service issue etc.
Mekhin said there are no farangs in Jupiter. Ok you and Jupiter boys could care less about farangs now it seems.
I wondered if there is something to do with his recent trip to China and his move to Jupiter.

I heard about Jupiter's quite strict rules and asked how he feels about them.
He said he needs to be careful about how he looks including his hair style. No wonder all Jupiter boys look the same.
He emphasis there is a rule in place that boys cannot pursue a customer in premises and boys need to be called by a customer to sit with him. He then said inTawan there was a constant need to hustle customers, say hello shaking hands etc some practise that all Tawan customers are familiar with.
I forgot the exact words he used but he was tired of this hustle part of Tawan job and very happy with Jupiter's passive way.
He then told me that he used to drink a lot in Tawan but now decided he does not indulge the heavy drinking so much.
In fact he only drank cola with us. Wise move as he rode this big black motorcy to get to Thanya.
He said he is from Chaing Mai and was returned there to see a family recently and was tired from the trip.

I said good bye and wished him good luck with a new job at Jupiter.

Oh and he gestured he would like to pay for his share of the meal and drink but of course I declined.

    I can kick this off.
We live 9 km from Surin City in my partner's home village and made the chose 5 years ago.
My partners mother had passed away and he wasn't close to his father so we could have lived anywhere in Thailand.
He didn't own any land, so that didn't dictate the decision.
My initial inclination was to live by the sea, but after looking at the price of a decent apartment with a sea view and comparing it with the price of land (we bought 10 rai) and the cost of building a spacious house we settled on the village option.
I was 64 years old at the time, living in the UK with my partner, retired with no wish to continue working.
I have always liked having dogs around me so a house with a big garden was a major consideration.
The house build was started in October 2012 by an English builder who was expensive compared to local builders but it was massively worth paying the difference in price for ease of communication and his daily supervision of the works. We moved to Thailand December 2012 and the house was finished 3 months later.
    Looking back:
My partners sister lives very close by and she is very helpful, she will sleep at our house when we have holidays and look after the dogs.
The people in our village are very friendly, the Headman is very helpful and the village is clean.
The ability to subscribe to UK TV is important.
It is a very peaceful and relaxing life.
Partner is happy living close to his sister and amongst friends (although he would go back to live in the UK tomorrow).
    Drawbacks:
Only one other guy can speak English in the village and my plans to learn Thai haven't really progressed.
We do meet other Farangs socially but it means one beer or glass of wine or one of us being the driver or a taxi. Guess this is similar to our own countries.
Back in the UK I enjoyed playing bridge (badly) but I haven't been able to interest anyone in playing here.

For us it was the right decision but it has worked principally because of my partner's personality and his wish always consider me and make me happy.
I am aware that the rural life works for us but could be a disaster for others.

the event last night was tagged as mid-year party, which might not be the anniversary party. drink cost same at 400 baht. anyway last night was fully pack. first time i saw a horde of filipino (men, ladies and gays) in the bar. they were about 10-15 in the group. a handful of farang (gay and ladies) and local ladies were present as well. but overall asian gays were most of the punter that night.

the show started with the usual front act. the ladyboys did an excellent medly of the gay anthems, then the comedy act that sings Chinese with a silly makeup. then the boss announced that there will be a sexy dance competition. the first act was beefy guy with scorpion tattoo, the sunglasses he wore added to his sexiness, aside from that he wore a jockstrap. there are parts of his routine that did not match the music, but who cares. halfway through the number, the jock was off and low and behold a small weeny with what seems to be a single sided nutsack. @vinapu, is this the single testicle guy that you have offed? i was told he is a grower with huge potential.

second performance was lek, again in jockstrap, but he is in the best condition in the bar, so if i were to judge he would have won hands down. similar routine as the first one. am not sure if there was s miscommunication as succeeding performance were in pairs.

ok. now i am unclear about the succession of the performance. so i will just generalize.

one performance was with phan and san. started wearing what looked like sunglasses googles and tight jeans, theirs is the most erotic. after the jeans were off they were left with wrestling singlets. san has his huge erection out, while phan was simulating a jo. they kissed in their performance which was hot.

one performance was mr porn ( only 1 name was announced, but they were 2 )  this is the chubby guy with the glasses that seems to be a mainstay of their show. sorry to say, no matter how good your choreography/act it does not do anything to me when i am not attracted to the performers.

one performance was mr nop and forgot the other one. i think the alcohol has started to kicked in so am not sure if they were in a towel/brief number.

another performance was mr. pan and phayap. phayap have better than average physique, but his dance moves are a bit too lanky. though confirmed he is not gay.

after that there was the usual f*ck show, and the japanese type of erotic show where lek could be mistaken as one of the models of tagame in his drawings. a shame though mr. porn is the partner in that performance, which lowers the sexy factor for me.

only 1 show last night, which was a shame. also only 1 of the performance pair actually interacted rigorously with each other to increase the sexiness factor. the others where the usual touching and sometimes a bit unnatural.

after the show, the mass exodus of customers. a couple of farang was left in the bar. obviously repeat big spending customers as the boys have congregated to them.

btw, all the performers "won". so boss gave everyone an envelope. i was told 500 per person.  i thought the first two solo performance were similar to what we see at gay bars in manila and would have preferred it.  rather than having a shock and awe 30 minute performance with not so handsome performers.

We had  discussion about an issue in 'Hero closing" thread, xiluzer posted series of pictures , there was some speculation about new ownership etc but for now we have what we have.

Some may be tempted  to try new location as some familiar faces and muscles are there. While place doesn't look great for now and not many boys migrated there so far in reality we need only one boy, either one out of 35 or just out of 5 , one will do.

I visited place already twice and must say both sessions with Charoon were better than everything I remember from old location with possible exception of two meetings with O , one back in 2013 and second one on the day of closing of old venue.

So here it is how to get there:

    1. take BTS to Bearing station, it took us 40 minutes from Sala Daeng

    2. when there take exit 3 if you are planning on taking taxi or motorsai or exit 4 if you want to walk like I did on my second visit.

Station is at soi 70 and SuperHero in soi 78 so you have 4 blocks to cover, roughly the same distance like from Nana station to old location. It took me 16 minutes.

    3. While marching look for an overpass , soi 78 is just before that, there's no sign but it's pretty wide street with big motorsai stand at it's mouth. When you turn into soi you will see at it's end something like small Chinese temple.

    4. Keep walking toward it, when you reach it you will see that street which looked as dead end turns sharp to the left at the temple. Raise your head  , you will see sign SUPERHERO on the building at end of soi , about 100 meters from where you are. It's that easy, enjoy

    5. When extension of BTS will be completed , it will be even closer from the next station

From what I was told, or understand from a former massage employee of Hero, SuperHero is a shop opened by one of his fellow  former massage guys. I believe it is just his way of finding a job for himself with the closing of Hero. You may find a few former Hero guys out there, but probably not many.  He kind of stole the name, but otherwise this new shop named SuperHero is in no way related to former owners, aka "big boss" of the original Hero.

My source seems to believe that the "big boss" from Hero will indeed try to reopen Hero in a new location. However, he isn't certain and doesn't have any more information regarding when, or where.

We'll just have to keep our ears to the ground and eyes open for some news.

It seems some of the guys are currently doing out-calls with regular customers, and some are keeping in contact other ways. So, I think we will get some news on the board if/when a new Hero, is opened.

My friend thinks that the new SuperHero is too far out and probably won't be too successful, at least in the way Hero was. Maybe it will find an audience with a different, local following of customers. I wish him luck with his experiment  And look forward to logging one day to read a big headline announcing the new HERO!
