For me we are back to the idea of empathy.   I would hate anyone to make a promise to me they don't intend to keep.  Always good to treat others as you'd like to be treated.

I enjoy reading sweet and short trip reports (for eg vinapu's and arsenal's on SN).  Even then I skim through them.  I pass on serialised, long-winded, Mills-and-Boons type  scripted 'reports' as I don't have the patience for them and I find that they very often end up being about the needy writer more than anything else.  I'd rather go about living my life rather than doing it vicariously through somebody else's imagination.  "Web fantasies" with "fake photos" don't really appeal to me either, especially if the guys in the photos look undernourished and twelve to me.  Plenty of hot porn on the Net which I can pick and choose from if I so desire or better yet go out, meet someone and make our own 'porn' back at my place.

Does the above impact on the value of the forum?  I honestly don't know and don't care.  Assessing the 'value' of the forum sounds a bit over-the-top to me.  But I'm speaking for myself here based on my own preferences.  What doesn't appeal to me, I skip.  It's like going to a buffet; some things I like and take, some things I don't but somebody else might.  There's usually something for everybody and if you feel there isn't, by all means take the initiative to fill up the shortfall.  No need for drama.  Simple as that.

It's mostly rivalries between technical and other vocational colleges, often going on since a long time. Increasingly violent or just more thoroughly reported nowadays? Who knows! In any case, sometimes their confrontations end deadly, either for gang members or bystanders.

Some random news reports, you can find many more if you search for "college gangs thailand" or similar:

Really very odd.  Must be just for optics.  Get rid of the sex trade and Pattaya has very little.  Far nicer beach resorts elsewhere.

It's getting to be Groundhog Day in Pattaya.

    From Pattayaone

Bang Lamung district chief Naris Niramaiwong joined an entourage of local police and soldiers parading through Pattaya on Tuesday.

According to the chief they were doing important work under government orders to clear up the illegal sex trade in karaoke shops, beer bars and soapy massage establishments or ap-op-nuat, reported Siam Chon News.

They were also on the lookout for illegal immigrants, illegal foreign workers and signs of human trafficking and other illegal activity.

Naris – who in February mounted a similar raid embarrassing a UK man caught with his trousers down in a short time room above a Go-Go establishment on Valentine’s Day – said it was part of improving tourism at the resort.

He also didn’t want the resort to be called “sex capital of the world” anymore, reported Siam Chon News

The report of the party’s activities did not mention a single arrest or incident encountered by the group on their foray into the resort’s nightlife.

Honestly I think it is really good that we keep discussing this, even though each time a calm point is made someone starts shrieking.

I guess with the a photo of a model there is clearly implied that the photo will be widely shared.

Again, really good that we keep these things in mind.

I think they pre judge you according to the reputation of the country you came from, how generous the certain nationals tip.
Probably they know generally Singaporean give bigger tip than Philippino/Cambodian.

That very well may be true, though I still think it is certainly a gray area. Personally, I think that when you share photos of yourself and post same photos to Instagram and FB accounts, there is not much "privacy" to be expected. But nonetheless I concede it's an ethically ambivalent question. But mostly that response was to the originally offended party who believed that the pictures had been randomly taken from his friend's FB account.

Again, I think the ethical question is pretty absurd given that the "Some Model Photoshoots" thread is hundreds and hundreds of pages long, and I don't recall much discussion over whether the subject of any of those photos wanted their photos shared on this site.

Those photos were taken from a commercial pornographic website and are accessible to anyone with an Internet connection and about five seconds of googling.

For me it is not worth much.  Personal photos taken by  or given to a person, by the subject, are personal and should not be posted. An action best described as unethical .  This discussion has been discussed previously on this forum.
The worst were the three photos featuring the boy with dark hair, two showing his face and one of him being fucked by a farang.
Would anyone like those type of photos of themselves being posted?

I try to avoid flying on American or United.
I do not have much experience with Delta but they seem much better.
Though they also just got themselves into some bad PR this past week.
My Itinerary going to Asia is to fly Southwest from my local airport to Los Angeles.
Then fly with EVA or Cathay Pacific to the Philippines.
They both have flights to Cebu City/Mactan Airport so I can avoid Manila.
One trip 6 years ago I broke my leg shortly before departing on a Non-Refundable Flight booked with Cathay Pacific. I also did not have Trip Insurance so I thought I was screwed. But after contacting them they had me send a letter from my Doctor and a request for a refund. And they did it!!!
I also like EVA because I can stop over it Taipei. But I have had problems with them twice on their cancelling flights on short notice. Worked things out, but not a good thing to deal with.
And my worse experience was getting bumped by ANA on my flight from Manila to Japan, that was connecting with United to Denver, and Denver back home in NM. I had checked in early and was waiting to board when they called my name. I was told the flight had a problem and some passengers would need to take a later flight. Not even an offer of compensation!! Of course I threw a fit!! I showed the Gate Agent my ongoing tickets with United. Finally I was the last passenger allowed to board. I think they bumped a number of Japanese passengers and that made a difference.
Got on the 777 and the entire back of the plane was roped off. I was told there was a problem with the Rear Exit Door and so no one was permitted to be seated beyond the Middle Exits. WOW!!!
My advice now, is always purchased Trip Insurance!! It usually costs me USD200 to 300. Depends on the value of the trip. And it includes Medical. Well worth it for the peace of mind. Of course if you get compensated for being bumped you do not get anything from the Insurance. But if you or your Spouse or Domestic Partner has a medical problem that requires you to cancel the trip to take care of him, you will be reimbursed by the Insurance.
    Cheers!!

I off boys all the time, just for drinks or dinner or hanging out. It doesn't need to always be about sex. The cost is so small it's barely noticeable.
