My fingerprints were taken upon arrival and biometrically linked to my passport. I think that if I were somehow discovered dead with my water bottle and phone the authorities could figure out my identity. Of course it’s considerate to be conscientiously facilitative but I suppose offing oneself often precludes optimal organization.
Anyway, it turns out the deceased was identified fairly quickly somehow through CCTV footage leads. His planned stay had been set at 3 months and he had 5-6 weeks remaining
Incidentally just days before in the area the police intervened with a Russian male planning to leap to his death from a building. At first I thought that he was maybe eventually free to go and take a better stab at it.

Sorry I missed it. I see you can hop on the Gold Line going north from Krung Thon Buri BTS station.
Yaowarat Road in Chinatown is fun but might be too intense. I was tipped off to it watching Netflix 1st season of Somebody Feed Phil though of course it’s mentioned in all guides. It’s only a few Metro stops northwest of Si Lom station, then short walk south, so it would be easy to backtrack to Patpong if not to the guests’ liking.

Sorry to break it to you but Michelin Tire Man is deflating your tired comment several pressure points as I had a delicious lunch at a decent French restaurant conveniently located where my sightseeing took me that day, not multi tasting course mid-evening meal at a South Asia themed restaurant. Nothing personal.

Me too, excellent example at Le Meredien,  not that expensive! The suite also has a double shower for ease of showering with your companion! And a Japanese toilet.

me too and I  know why I like all that space - I grew up in very smalI apartment where every square inch was utilized.
One danger of big hotel room is that we may tend to spread our stuff  all over and when packing something may be forgotten - see my last trip report where I confess to leaving about 100 000 riels in 5000 riel notes on the night desk. And no, I was not in rush when packing , it just happened.

Haha yeah, I noticed. I tend to prefer bigger rooms and at each of those hotels, I'd usually pick the one-bedroom unit, with a separate bedroom and living room. Not sure why but I love all that space 🤣

Yes, I saw one of my companions breakfasting with another client at Le Meredien! He grinned at me!

I tend to stay at hotels not too close to (but not that far from) the bars (like Bandara Suites, At Ease Saladaeng, Silom Serene etc.) and so far, had no issues with bringing guests back in other than the knowing smiles of the doorman or receptionist 🤣🤣.

unfortunately it was not me, that guest breakfasting with said hunk. Meridien is not my league when comes to accommodation unfortunately, LOL

Le Meridien is perfectly ok with joiners - both male and female. The Japanese guests often eat breakfast with their female overnight companions (from Soi Thaniya). I even saw one of @vinapu regular hunks with a guest during breakfast!

Personally, I think it makes no difference  if you are a newbie, or an old hand. You still need to be sensible.  Le Meredien, a 5 star hotel, does not interfere with guests at all, so your own risk.

Le meridien, W, The standard, Crowne plaza, Pullman G Bangkok and even Sofitel are some luxury hotels close enough to the scene and all have no issues with guests.

I think it would be a great idea to refer to this map by one of the forum member. Its really helpful. He colour coded the guest friendly hotels around silom.

The Ibis Styles Silom is no problem bringing guests in.  Just have to meet them at the ground floor to take back up the elevator to your room.  Never had any of my visitors pulled up, questioned or glanced at all to my knowledge.  But be careful - one guy I had back to my room had taken something before he arrived and started tripping in my room.  I managed to get rid of him after about an hour singing and making weird noises in the shower.  That's an experience I would prefer not to have again...

Hilton Garden Inn Silom had nobody there to stop you from bringing in a guest.  You just walked in and made your way to the elevators.

Hilton Millenium no problems at all.  Have to meet in lobby because of lift key card but nothing said.

most hotels in Thailand have strict policy on guests i.e. guest are at best welcomed or at worst just overlooked. No personal experience with those two chains though.

    1. Nothing is wrong with it.  Condoms exist for a reason and definitely have their place.  The attitude toward them just seems to be significantly different here in Colombia compared to America or even Brazil, to a lesser extent.  I was just curious.
    2. Taqueria Popular is also excellent.

Well being London it's very diverse. Though definitely fit and attractive guys gets to picked up first. I hooked up with a Saudian with a very upper class english accent and a Singaporean guy.

Was here few months ago. A bit dodgy place to find under the bridge with drunk homeless people. However it is near Waterloo station so it's easy to find. The bartender is soo hot. A 6 foot+ 90's matinee blonde that came out of a magazine cover. Entrance is at £20.

I like jodd fairs. I find that it is one of the newer and cleaner night market. There are plenty of food and shopping options. Just take note that they have 2 locations. The original location is very close to rama 9 mrt station but is more crowded. The new location is slightly further from the nearest bts (ha yaek lat phrao) but I find it more spacious and might be more suitable for you.
