  1. Just wondering what apps to download ready for my Thailand & Phillipines trip. For transport I have downloaded Grab , not sure if Bolt is another one that operates ? For meetings I have downloaded Grindr & Hornet, not sure if planetromeo could be another one along with blued? For communication I have download Line , although I have WhatsApp,I'm not sure what they use in Thailand. Also is there any apps that you use to record notes & trip report , that you say can include pics etc ,is that apps such as Evernote etc ?
  2. How did you go about it? Did you approach him ?
  3. He is very sexy๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
  4. Going by their website , and I could be mistaken, but it looks like it is actually for this company to process your Thai Pass ? I can't see anywhere about providing fast track thru the airport?
  5. Interesting hotel here I saw on the app,but too far away from the action. It has train carriages as rooms www.trainresort.info
  6. Just talking to my Filipino boyfriend today and we plan to meet late this month after my visit to Thailand. He was talking about homophobia in the Phillipines etc and it made me remember the time in Pattaya where I came across "homophobic guys in a restaurant in the soi bukhao area ,two men and a lady farang all drunk of course decided to move away from our table citing description profanities , I didn't even get into a conversation with them, but peculiarly they chose the table right next to ours despite their being umpteen tables to choose from,it didn't concern me as the Thai boy I was with didn't understand a word they said ,he was completely oblivious to it ๐Ÿ˜† That was like 2009? 2008 So times have changed Have you ever experienced this ? As far as i remember it was once only in 20 years of coming to Thailand I have never been to the Phillipines and don't plan on holding hands or anything as I said to my Filipino friend. I think times are changing and young people nowadays are much much more tolerant and educated about gay people . Schools are teaching about transgender & gay partners etc and I think it's great , I think the only times you need to be wary of is straight guys our age who are not brought up to accept gay people. The younger farang are much more accepting and with tiktok etc there is much more awareness , but people our age 50ish ..60ish etc are still held back in time And I think another thing too, if your a older man with a younger partner I think people still think that is strange, particularly if your partner is say 30 years younger than you . I was reading the comment section of a tiktok video a older gay man in his late 50's with a Filipino boy in his 20's , unfortunately some of the comment especially from middle-aged females were horrendous describing the Farang guy as you know what that starts with P.
  7. I'm definitely going to check out Classroom on my next trip ๐Ÿ‘
  8. 2500 short time?...wow..these are Western prices !
  9. Is the mosaik apartments still going ? Haven't seen them in the hotel apps lately. I noticed Rabbit resort advertised at 3k a night, haven't stayed there in like 15 years, but for that price I won't be rushing back .
  10. Their rooms with sit on balcony look good @1450 baht per night I love a room with a balcony, can't recall if I had a balcony at Zing resort in jomtien. I know I had one at the Agate hotel in jomtien. oh and be careful when booking for the Zing hotel, I remember booking on a app way back in 2018 thinking Wow I snared a bargain here for the Zing hotel, only to find out I actually booked the Zing hotel up on the main road and not in the jomtien complex !
  11. Though the only thing it takes to walk to the stage is confidence๐Ÿ˜‰and come to think of it in a real life way ,I probably couldn't bring myself to do it ๐Ÿ˜I would be embarrassed with everyone watching ! I would need a few pints first.๐Ÿฅณ Min, I hope you can contact him, it's possible they also have a FB page ?
  12. Likewise , my heel on one foot needs cutting
  13. Going by the pics of the gorgeous guy,he does look a bit older so I imagine he speaks relatively good English. I guess you could even try walking up to the stage and tipping him including your contact number or even inviting him for a drink later.
  14. I would ask the waiter if that particular dancer is available. Or maybe even ask if he is available to drink with you a short time Its not as easy as it sounds I know, I have done it myself and I usually get a waiter who doesn't understand what I'm saying . I did it once at The Venue a few years ago and asked if a particular dancer was available only to have the waiter think I wanted him !๐Ÿ˜†
  15. Thanks guys...I'm also off to the Phillipines in late June after my Thailand trip. First timer to the Phillipines and I'm a little scared. I will probably hire a gayguide to show me around. I'm thinking Manila a few days, then a bus to Angeles City.
  16. Thanks Vinapu. Never heard of Classrooms.. Is that a new hotel ? Where is it located ?
  17. I will also be arriving in exactly 2 weeks and can't wait ๐Ÿ˜ I'm currently looking at all these hotel apps deciding where to book On another note , A colleague at work informed me her husband goes into a app where they bid on not only hotels but flights at almost half price I think however they do it the day before they need it. Any of you guys know any apps such as that ? Not that I'm a Cheap Charlie though, I don't mind paying more if I have to .
  18. I didn't know that, is it the Airline or airport I contact , I probably dont need the buggy , I can still walk fast usually use the travelators, but I hated lining up, and if it's anything to go by watching the latest YouTube video of the airport I'd rather pay to get through than be stuck in a line for both Thai Pass and then moving into the immigration exit line I recall years ago there was a exit lane for senior citizens, not sure if they still have that .
  19. Just watched a YouTube vid of a guy entering Thailand, I was surprised to see all the passengers lining up for the "Thai Pass" desk on exiting the plane and then having to line up at immigration. Only once have I used the "Fast track" service on arrival , that was around 2016 and it was great, unfortunately my budget needs to be spent on guys ,however if it's the case where the line up is full I may have to consider using the Fast track service again. They can pick you up in a golf buggy directly from the plane exit and drive you to the terminal exit and you actually go thru a different exit ,like a VIP section which was very fast as I was the only one . Unfortunately you still have to wait for your bags at the outside carousel Sorry I can't recall the cost now , I believe it was expensive then and I'm going back 5 or so years . But I hate lining up, and people pushing etc , has anyone been thru the airport lately both arriving & departing ? Watching a YouTube video a couple (backpackers) leaving for Manila showed the huge crowd lining up to departures , apparently it took them 2 hours !!
  20. I also prefer booking via the apps, but I did get reminded at one Pattaya hotel not less than twice that I should of booked directly with the hotel itself , as far as I know it was more expensive that way so I'm not sure what they were on about.๐Ÿ™„
  21. I know Airbnb are now more popular so I'm considering on my next stay to look around on this. Its been 3 years away and I'm back this month for a month. Where do you guys usually stay in Pattaya ? I loved the Ban Souy gay resort but I did move a bit closer to jomtien plaza on my last trip to the Zing inside the jomtien plaza . Ban Souy is a bit overpriced at this stage average from b1800 b per night and the drawback was transportation The Zing however was great value and gay friendly and walking distance to most bars The Agate also in the jomtien complex much similar although higher priced and rooms overlooking the pool with balcony Usually I like to split my weeks changing hotels , one week jomtien complex, the week after Boyztown etc. Haven't stayed at the Ambiance for years though, my last trip in 2019, I didn't really enjoy the Le cafe Royale hotel in Boyztown. I have come to realise though that many of these hotels do not like you booking thru travel companies apps Has anyone used Airbnb in Pattaya? Would you say it was better for you in terms of price, location etc ?
  22. Great reports๐Ÿ‘Someone mentioned the BBB Inn, great memories there in years gone by๐Ÿฅณ Unfortunately the BBB Inn went down in its latter years and I stopped going there .
  23. Can one still have fun in these venues going alone ? And what if you don't drink alcohol? I guess as long as you buy the boy alcohol & tip the mamasan they wouldnt care ๐Ÿคฃ I want to try these places more often. I remember around 10 years ago going to the old Hot man karaoke up in soi bukhao , had a marvelous time, of course I was a big drinker back then ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ
  24. I will say I was involved in some "Air rage" a few years ago on my flight to Bangkok. Having a week off work suddenly I decided a quick trip from Australia to Bangkok was in order and thus booked a economy Jetstar flight that evening. When the boarding was called I noticed quite a few guys ,probably young indian students all rush to be first in line to be boarded. All had several carry on bags & boxes each in their possession. As I'm not one to rush up to line up,I took my time and boarded last. Upon my arrival on the plane I opened the overhead locker above my seat to see it's crammed tight with boxes and bags ! The boxes I recognised from the indian students who had boarded earlier, however looking at the seats below those lockers they weren't seated there . I immediately informed the disinterested flight attendant, who pointed to go further down the aisle and find a empty overhead locker above. I then walked down opened up a few above the people sitting below to find also most of them full, before going almost half way down the plane to find one with some space. On putting my bag in,the male passenger below looks up at me and tells me it's not mine if I'm not seated where he is. He looked aggressive so I decided to move to next to it only to get the woman seated below also to loudly complain,so I decided to walk back to where my seat was with my carry on bag and again I saw the disinterested lady flight attendant standing there saying nothing. Rather than walk the plane looking for above lockers I decided just to put the bag under my seat ,she came running up and and started shouting to put that in a above locker, I again pointed out the above locker is full of boxes and I have been down the aisle looking to no avail. Rather than help she created a scene shouting I must leave the plane if I can't put it in the locker above . She offered no help or assistance, I could even see the indian students who were seated rows away laughing, unfortunately it was all their boxes in the lockers that was preventing me from putting my bags in there . So by this time I was frustrated so I asked her do you know which locker is empty, her response "Find one !! By this time still seated with my bag on my lap, I told her what a rude bitch she was, of course she called her supervisor I guess who came out and asked me to leave the plane. So I'm saying Air rage is not always the passengers fault If she had offered me some assistance in the first place instead of standing their like she didn't care as I trumped up & down the aisle then everything would of been sorted but she didn't . I also work in a customer service role sometimes with violent & aggressive people,Im usually able to do this using my skills to descalate them and show some empathy ,their anger is usually caused by frustration and no one to help them. Sure I called her a stupid bitch that was my fault but I got frustrated at her lack of caring and demand that I trump up and down the aisle looking for a empty overhead locker arguing with people seated below who took offence of me putting my carry bag in their overhead locker ,don't ask me why ๐Ÿ˜‚but rather than argue with them I moved on. So now I like to hear 2 side of the story before I make a decision on air rage,it usually comes from frustration and lack of caring or descalation skills of staff, things like staff refusing to intervene in passengers refusing to recline their chair in front of you during meals etc . Some of these people shouldn't be in a customer service role.
  25. Glad to know about this, Premium economy is becoming more popular nowadays than business class, I just read somewhere that Phillipines airlines were reducing their business class to mainly premium economy as well. Because I hate flying, I have always flew Business class ,takes a toll on my budget but I hated lining up in queues ,and being cramped in seats not to mention I always got some selfish person in front with their seat reclined ๐Ÿ™„ I love flying Emirates ,it's one of the best airlines in my opinion even for economy, looking at the link it looks more business class like however doesn't have the "bed type lay back " seats, that seemed to be the only difference.
