Entrance fee for the upcoming ifbb amateur and pro contest is US$70 and 100 respectively. Much steeper than entrance/drink fee of tawan.

If you do hire one, I doubt they will be able to perform. These guys go on crazy diet and water fast to get ripped on stage.
The ifbb contest seems to have a very steep registration fee. I doubt the tawan men would spend that amount for this event. I did see a poster for Mr Thailand, but it was in Thai. So not sure when it will happen.

I recall 2 short time hotel in the area. the ones facing old jupiter bar named suriwongse hotel, and another one in actual patpong itself. I forgot the name, but it was near one of the bars that had the Thai boxing. On the same side as the 2 gay bars nearer to saladaeng.
But as z909 mentioned the standard hotels might have brought down their prices. So really no need unless they ask for passports and stuff.

Like any third world country, it is indeed difficult to create a d & d business without a large capital outlay in the Philippines. IP is often ignored, so creativity does not mean that you got the edge.
I would be very much interested in your sage advice on how to create such business.
