pong got a reaction from ChristianPFC in Info on a bunch of BKK Massage Shops
Depends how you define them. There are just a few more as gay sauna's here in BKK and well-known christian has reviewed these about all and makes periodically overveiws. However, the changes of opening/closure of these m2m shops are far, far more as for sauna's and thats the challenge. But it would not be impossible for someone who lives more or less permanently here in BKK and knows the city (or is prepared to shell out for grab etc.) to at least visit the main 40/50 (thats about the nr of those actively advertising and certain of giving the required extra's as selfevident) in say 3-4 monthes. But there are at least the same nr of places that are ''maybe/perhaps'' or just by some of the workers, who may work only part-time.
In my personal listing, Ive been to slightly over 40 by now, of which near 20 are closed already. And that still misses out nearly all in the Silom area.
Sources that also list them-advertising: gboysiam69, thaimassageboy, tmmsociety, gthai.net. Unless someone known more. Problem is nowadays, that many only do fb-accounts and many also now only open for prebooked clients, via LINE. Those for unannounced walk-ins are slimmer by the day.

Its daft easy-for any knowledgeable driver, to avoid BKK by using the (even mostly toll-free) outer ring roads, though this means a few more Kms to drive.
In general-traffic here on sunday-mornings is pretty light (as it is today and tomorrow due to the Phimai jeen), but on the OLD expressways=those crossing town from bangNa is can have hold-ups any time, completely unpredictable (mostly due to accidents, so you also wont know how long it takes to clear).
From Silom-dont bother with the rolling openairmuseum called SRT-take BTS to end=Mochit and follow the 1000s of Chinese for the A1 direct expressbus, now brand newblue buses, 30 bt.

TMOT- Have at least 3 of those, and threw away the appendix from 2 or so (which had the then more or less actual facts-places etc.) away just before last Th trip, of which i returned yesterday. Main textbooks still on the shelf, but due to housemove cleaning out the old house. If not difficult overseas sending is needed (hank) then you can contact me-will be back in TH in around 3 weeks from now. The text does not differ much between these prints, that are spaced in total some 8-10 yrs apart. Interestingly they completely ignored the then just opened soi pratoochai (hotmail or hotmale-betwen suriwong and ramIV). Also the then just coming up m2m massageshops were completely ignored. it was tied to the Thai magazine MIDWAY (of which i also hve around half the issues) that sometimes printed updates for places.
Yes, for those of you interested; OFF fee of 100 bt and suggested tip for short time of 3-500 as quoted then for Silom bars.
Similar but much less extensive books I have are about the PHillippines and MeXico.

Last time I went there used AA from DMK.
YES, since early '18 there is a new rail-service, started ev. hour and now ev 30 mins from airport (that has a sidespur for bringing in poil off the main line to Sihanouk) with railcars put together in Mexico or so (or thats what report say), but of course it ends at the trainstation in PnPn, which is not overly convenient. Takes 25 mins and is running quite slow. Was free till 1/8, current price unknown-I assume maybe 1 or 2 US$ or maybe 4/5 or 10.000 riels
One of the CITYbuses also passes main rd in front of airport (cross road for into town) and ends petty near the main farang central area.

As for BUS from Aran-> BKK: these are plenty and also run till around dusk (from there) plus that there are now at least 3 thorugh buses direct from SR to BKK, though of course you have to leave the bus at border for the checks-and reboard same bus other side. One of these is again Gt Ibis. Big buses, vans and the casino-buses (direct to near Silom-mostly Bon Kai area) start from Aran/Kleua border, buses take 4 hrs vs train 6.
On a site ''movetocambodia.com, then google for the blogs, you can find all the info.
As for me-it still seems the best performing KHmer guys are to be found here in BKK!

Since many years the PH emigration services have a strict eye on what they look at possibly sexual services/exploitation (i.e. mostly maids for the Arab Gulf), due to many previous mishaps, or even murder. And logically this mostly thus has to happen at the MNL airport. They also warn/''protect'' for other countries seen as being a den of such vices, Th notably of course high in that list. And yes, it happens fairly often that friends (of whatever sexe) seen as being to much in danger are refused exit.
Other countries as yours may have many more seemingly incredible ways to protect their own citizens.

Hi student, myself arrived back in BKK last week-for the xy.th nr of times. Dont wory to much-the guy you hire for service will have done that many, many times (usually) and will easily lead the scene. Other as many here seem to think, this is TH: there are NO strict set rules, procedures, prices, manners or whatever-it can be different any time. It may even be diffrent by the same guy the 2nd time. As a very broad general rule-you always take a thorough shower before the deed and before this is most often done separate-but again, together can also be done or maybe more fun. Beware the guys who then try to let you come right then-after the water has burst (nam awk  in Thai), the fun is over.

Yesterday already saw the GBP quoted for <40 THB.
The actual value of a valuta says really nothing about how well it is doing.
Since I first came to the island named GB/UK, their currency, the GBP (at that time in shillings and pence) was worth well over 11 DEM=5,55 eur now. Now its just barely EUR 1,10. Its even worse if you convert to CHF. Even the Italian lira etc have nosedived not that much in that period. In general 1 eur buys more as 1 GBP would do in the UK.

@1. about any can/will do, but for this it does make the difference as above-some are known (though there is never any hard and fast rule for that anywhere in TH) to be ''sticky rice'' or maybe FFF (fear for farang). Timing is far more important as place. Longtime resident contributor christianpfc.blogspot.nl has several recent overviews of BKK-sauna's on his blog.
easy to reach would be 39 underground (Sapan kwai-BTS), best at weekends. Near Silom Saunamania. If you are Asian and like westerners- babylon (you may even get free entry)
@2.sure-a lot can accomodate you (mostly by str8 Thai/Khmer/.Burmese) all the way, in fact the more Thai places will even simply expect to supply that-without even mentioning it. IF you fancy the more sporty/athletic types; Arena, for upmarket/more pricey: Senso and Prince, favoured among JPNese; theNINE in a side soi of Sukhumvit (by appointment only).
One other of the frequent posters here has an overview of such places in BKK (bkkmassages-wordpress) or see listings on TGA=TravelGayAsia. All over town there are at least 40/50 of such places-many come and go, impossible to keep track.
BTW- Tak is both a town and province in mid-Thailand, halfway between BKK and ChiangMai, with a gateway overland into Burma/Myanmar.

    Nothing new here.
That bus-exactly the same as on pic, already runs-ev 2 hrs-from DMK, since at least 4-5 yrs now, and for the same pirce 150 bt.
What is new that apparently they now also run from Swampy, but that is in competition with BMTA=citybus, which runs the S1 and S2 on the very same routes for 60 bt, about hourly (but without any published timings) and in normal AC-citybuses, thus less comfort-but many more stops (assuming you know enough of BKk about that), always nice ticket-ladies too.
By ARL +taxi to around Banglamphu is 45+80/85 bt, thus less as this bus (and yes, with serious overcrowding and sorry-pity feelings for all the Thai who have to live with that going to work in the mornings.
DMK is very well served by the now about most frequent BMTA busline: A1 from Mochit BTS/MRT direct via tollway. 30 bt.

Saw these mentioned as ''homeplace'' from some guys advertising on gboysiam69, they seem to be in outer areas so probably not too many farang going there, but its just a try. Also, some seem to have a kind of site or page at facebook, I do not do fb at all so cannot see further details-even that would be nice if someone could access more info.
CROWN spa, in Ngam Wong Wan soi 43, which actually is just on the border of BKK and in Patum Thanee province. The soi is very long and has many side-sois, so it wont be easy to find without info.
Pause-Relax, in Phahonyotin 73, this is very far out of town, beyond Sapan Mai (new bridge), about the backside of DMK/airport, near ZEER-Pumarin and the former Bank/spa. I somehow recall there was a kind of gay spa there long ago with other name.
A place in LardPrao soi 130, which leads into a soi off RamKamHaeng in the 5x.
TREATspa, now listed on TGA, as on 34, soi Baering (BTS stop and former terminus), which is a reincarnation of former Violet/spa, as violetball.com
Also former HI/club just off Rattana Tibet, near BigC and near new MRT/purple line, folded down last year but seems to re/start, sometimes posting as HALLOspa or also as E/spa (erotik), this was a favorite of me and I do hope it can re/establish itself.
SO if anyone happens to know a little more, please post, or even about other places you may have heard of. Fly over to BKK next week.

So where are you now? ONLY in english? BTW-nice question, perhaps I can even see some unexpected titles.
What I would rec. is just available in Th-printed in Th, written in /en/,  published there. I doubt (but did not check) if the likes of amazon etc. can deliver that elsewhere. This as you mention the old 90-ies before the www handbooks.
Possibly asiabooks.com has an mailservice to overseas, but what I would rec is possible already out of print.
There are tons of usually poorly written bargirls-episodes, both by assumed former bargirls but mostly those having had an affair with them. after 2-3 you already know the next content.
What i personally like are a bit funny local experiences by f.e. english teachers or other farang having lived longer in TH, you can learn a lot about TH customs if you read in between and are genuinely interested and have an open mind. At the mo due to housemove I am clearing out the old house and find all things/boox I had forgotten about. Including several more scientific reports-mostly about AIDS-prevention and how to do that and the local scene around that-remember those times?
If you think this might be worthwhile, respond and (as at the mo the boox are elsewhere for exact titles) then I'll try to list them. Books from Th tend to have NO ISBN for international ordering.

Oh-dear memories, did you know at that time for the smarties among them this was a way of living? Composing letters/mails for those trying to beg at their lost friends now out of TH? There is even an amusing Thai/en book about it, called ''thescribe'' where a flipped out ajarn-angkrit [english teacher] was making more money as at teaching lazy students in school.
Now that I smile at this, I wonder if this still exists with todays smartfones and googlish translaties.

2.All the endless theories about how to bargain etc are all pure bullshit, just like taxi-hints. The un-experienced or brainless tourist simply does not dare to venture beyond the places mentioned somewhere, this includes MBK. Most also still think that BKK-taxi's are all with faulty meters and have to be negotiated-they only know of those standing still at HTLs etc.
Thus many vendors in touristy places like MBK simply will not lower their pirces from the absurd highs they have set their mind on. This also in most other tourist-ghetto's, like KhaoSarn. 99% of those vendors are Burmese, BTW.
Heaps of most of those things are in tesco or BigC for normal fixed prices and you even get points on your BigC-card with it.
3.indeed, Th is nowhere near the bargain basement it long time ago was, except for some prized-label fakes. The clothes are esp. bad value-here in EUR at cheap chains like KiK etc. they sell better quality for less.
[4]once bought an imi-Rolex on P-pong for 200 and have never seen that-with label-for less, though probably the very same contents without label sell for 99 or 100-back 10/12 yrs ago and still now too. it lasted near 5 years and then the battery went flat and could not be replaced. But who needs a watch anyway today?

Dont want to be pedantic, but actually ChM is not famous for grill chicken-the isan is (khai yang). you can find such grill-carts anywhere everywhere in BKK, due to the enormous nr of isany workers in the silom area there must be several there too.
ChM is famous for its spicy sausages (i mean made of meat from animals+ various other things). Tipically such cart-vendors specialize in just 1 type of food/even dish- soup or not, chicken or pig, premade (khao khaeng, or late night khao tom=soupy rice) or made on the spot (mostly chinese-in a wok). Even if you do not read Thai, seeing the cart and whats on will tell what they serve.
And it does not need to be on the street too-with all the dangers, dieselfumes etc in your face. Many foodcourts ofer the same-there used to be a fairly good one on either ground/cellar floor or top of the TOPS above McDon corner Silom/Ram IV-untill they started a big renovation-DK what has happened with it since. Also well known and dirt cheap is the food terminal-6th fl. or terminal 21=quirky shopcentre corner of Asoke and Sukhumvit, with BTS and MRT adjacent. As it also has lots of students, enough eye-candy for anyone all the time too. Sadly the former m2m msg shops around have all shut up (GUY, UNiman, old Body Club).
