My meetings (Hornet or Romeo) take place in the afternoons; my evenings are spent with my boyfriend in restaurants and other places of relaxation- not gogo bars. This is partly due to the fact that, now I'm older, i'm more "up for it" in the afternoon but also due to my lack of interest in Pattaya's beach. When I was single and visiting Pattaya twenty years ago I relied on the go go bars- and of course they were more interesting then- but found the afternoons rather boring. I suspect that without the advent of the dating sites, I would no longer be spending any time in Pattaya. So why live as a pauper on holidays? Set an amount, a holiday budget and use up all. There is no point lamenting of loss opportunities and to regret what ifs....when you are back home in a shitty environment. Thailand and South East Asia is the venue of pleasure and fond memories. I would bet the other 3 also are true representations. Some have or may still work in Bars. For those of you that get Horney at 6am, noon, 6pm, 3am etc give it a try. You may find you like it. Well there is a video of a nice boy walking around a 7-Eleven with nothing on, but I've not seen anything like that in the flesh. As for the other argument of availability in the afternoon, well I like to spend the afternoons at the beach, early evening with friends & late evening looking for a boy who might just stay long time. When I first visited Pattaya the beach used to have tons of boys, now they are a rare commodity. Thai Boys don't like the sun and would much rather be in their room on Hornet since the Apps have become so popular. If you are an all night person then I get why Bars might be a better choice although certainly it is no problem finding boys for all night. Good thing about the Apps you can tell the boy you want short time and if he is a Star then extend him When you tell a boy in a Bar , you want him all night you are pretty much stuck with him . It is sad to be back home in a shitty environment, and I doubt that any amount of pleasure during a short visit in paradise can make up for that. Our happiness at home should be by far our first priority, and there should not be a need to go on vacation out of desperation. I have so many fond memories of pleasurable vacations in many S.E. Asian cities, yet I have never felt a need to change my spending habits and burn through all the money in my possession. Maybe this is my personal opinion because I get so much satisfaction out of spending wisely. If one day I find like vinapu that US$100 is worth a good night of pleasure with a boy, and this is my desire, then I will have spent WISELY. But if I find myself in BKK for a week bar hopping and boy hopping in order to consume a generous sum budgeted for "the best of fun" I will feel... stupid. Yes sometimes I think it is expensive as well, especially if there is no show, or the show is no good, but it is the cost of doing business. I have no idea how some struggling bars stay afloat. I have no numbers as proof, but I think most of the money you pay for a drink in Soi Twilight goes to outrageous rents and bribes. We forget sometimes the corruption that happens in the background when we are in other countries (at least I do, I am so oblivious to a lot of things). Like I said, it is part of the cost of doing business, and since prostitution is illegal in Thailand, I feel that it is part of the cost of the enterprise. If and when they do crack down on these brothels, I hope that don't come for the escorts online next, like rentboy.com here in the US. And its everywhere. Whenever I leave Manila I have to pay that $12.50 "terminal fee" that I know does not go to their shitty airport, and probably goes to their very deadly "war on drugs". Whenever I fly to Mexico the $20 "tourist card fee" is baked into every ticket, and Mexico has the most corrupt government in the developed world (how else would El Chapo have been successful evading capture all that time?). And not to mention 16% of the federal tax dollars that I pay every paycheck here in the US funds our giant military industrial complex (guns, missiles, instruments of destruction). I pay for all sorts of things that I do not agree with. The paltry portion of my 400 baht going to a corrupt policeman, or greedy landlord in Bangkok seems peanuts in comparison to those other things. One of the time, the person is not as pic, but still quite good looking, so i went ahead only to find out he had probably the smallest dick. And he is rushing everyhting, even lie when i ask for massage first he said he'll do later and after said he cannot do because he have customer waiting. I paid what i wouldve paid for a 1.5hr session of great massage and fun for a measely 20-30 min rushing hj... im not into generalization of things so i mightve just been unlucky with apps/online. I have had some good experiences in Spain and mixed experiences in Poland . Pretty good experiences in Colombia and mediocre experiences in Mexico. Overall outside of Thailand mediocre. In Thailand at least as good as the Bars and so much less expensive when taking into account drink prices, tips, off fees and sometimes inflated fees for service.
