Brazil vs Colombia for Gay Travel 2024

Hey guys,

Just wanted to get some thoughts on your preference between these two countries, especially in the context of gay scene, escort scene, nature and touristic sites.

Just a bit of background: i'm a southeast asian guy in mid-30s, relatively fit. I've never been to South America before, so I'm planning a trip there sometime later this year. From what I've read, these 2 countries have quite a good gay scene, plenty of escorts and a variety of touristic things to do.

Just wanted to get some insights from the members here. Appreciate any feedback you have on this. Thanks!!

Both are excellent, Brazil has a more organized sauna system that makes finding someone in person and a place to have sex in a safe setting. I think that should be your first destination.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I'm a bottom, and unfortunately I don't speak Spanish or Portuguese 😅.

I'd like to think that Google translate would be of help when travelling to those destinations, but happy to hear your thoughts on the language barrier.

Both places considered dangerous compared to Asia..... Brasil will be a good start, Colombia is good too, Brasil more easy to shop and use translate in the sauna, my opinion

I have visited both countries in the last couple of years, mostly from a tourist angle, with the bonus of the fabulous men. In my honest opinion Colombia has slightly more to offer destinations wise, with a great choice of beaches, cities and countryside. However Brazil definitely wins for me, with regard to the sauna scene, and "top" guys with good options in most of their big cities. I'm visiting both countries this summer again, and am happy to answer more specific questions on DM.

i am exactly the opposite. i think that Brasil is better. or let's say, you can compare boys in both countries. same quality and easy aproach.

however, from tourist point brazil is much reacher. i love their beaches. salvador, manaus or iguacu falls are better then cartagena, bogota, santa marta, medellin and tayrona park. i have not been to cali. it is on my to do list.

Until you've tasted the rewards, ask Namazu, once he went to Brasil he was hooked and never looked at Asia the same, plus he's survived Brazil without incident...🧐

Now I'm in the middle of trying to make a decision to go to Bogota or Santo Domingo.....was in Bogota last year haven't been to SDQ in AGES.

My good friend said if I go to Colombia, he'd try to go or I go alone to Santo Domingo....decisions, decisions.

I get industry rates at Hilton branded hotels....in SDQ they're about 15 mins outside of the colonial zone in BOG- located all over....

This is for the end of April..

I couldn't decide, so I'm going to both places and threw in a night in Panama for good luck!

Change of plans....I got hooked on Colombia webcam sites....going to Bogota and Medellin with  1 night in Panama on my way to the US. Got a one way ticket on Copa from Medellin to Panama, overnight then Panama to Boston for $205 usd.....cheaper flights for me to take this trip than to go to the US from Mexico directly 😲

One of the main reasons I started exploring the idea of going to Colombia...the webcam sites! 🤣🤣

I've been in contact with two guys I met online via IG for a little over a year now. Hope to meet up with them if I manage to land in Medellin this year.

Any suggestions for fun beach towns in Brazil that have a good gay scene, cute guys, good restaurants/bars? Wasn’t a fan of Rio and don’t understand how it gets the reputation that it has.
