  1. Without assistance?
  2. Better late than never, if it actually happens!
  3. On my last trip to The USA, Las Vegas, I had a female officer. She stamped my passport, not so usual nowadays. I said, 'oh you stamped my passport'. She said yes, I said, 'I'll come again' she laughed! Years ago, now, my first trip to Australia, it was the old system. The immigration man noted that I was a lawyer, and asked what I was here for. I said we were suing a Bank. He said 'good luck mate'!
  4. That would be good!
  5. Useful tip! I intend to apply early for my Cambodian visa. Also, now, for Cambodia, there is another electronic permit you need, but I believe this can only be filled in 7 days before arrival. I don't understand why they need both, since the information is duplicated. Perhaps is a Chinese requirement!
  6. Thanks indeed!
  7. Presumably taken on a Box Brownie!
  8. Always the optimist!
  9. I think he meant all nationalities. That's what I asked. As you say almost all passports now have chip.
  10. Gosh, you have a long memory!
  11. Good to hear. Thanks!
  12. Thanks. I arrive on 3rd, November, then need courage to go! Don't fancy waiting outside in a line, as I gather sometimes happens! Sauna Mania is at least walkable fron Surawong.
  13. There are are several fucking videos on their various twitter accounts. One where at least 4 couples, in masks, are fuckingvup and down the stairs! Certainly would warm them up. Incidentally, as an older daddy farang, could members advise which sauna to visit, R3 or Mania, or neither? Quite happy to watch activities!
  14. Very helpful report!
  15. OK, thanks, here's hoping!
  16. To some extent, that depends on what you like. Some members on here prefer a mattress on the floor, better for post massage gymnastics, and stamp collection discussions! Some, including me, prefer a massage table. I also like integral shower, normally only found in VIP rooms, I think. It goes without saying that it should be clean, with adequate aircon, not too cold!
  17. Even better! Were there many gates? I will be there next month.
  18. Fair enough, but I like to remain conscious! For various reasons!
  19. Not fir gin, as far as I am concerned, I like it 1/4 gin and 3/4 tonic. I accept that when I order a gin and tonic in a bar, outside, that is, that it's weaker than that, but it's only 150baht! And you have things to look at! In the USA it's 20$ once you add tax, etc. In the UK, a Navy drink was pink gin, gin and bitters, but I never liked that. I'd rather have a weak G&T, than some of the questionable wines on offer!
  20. I agree. However, I invested in a foreign currency card, where I can load foreign currency onto the card, and hence don't pay foreign exchange charges. Can use at ATM. Exchange rate ok, but not the best. As reported earlier I also have a 'Currensea' card, which is a Mastercard, but linked to my bank account, and debits my bank account direct. Advantage is it uses the interbank exchange rate, which is very good, and no extra charges. Works in ATM. Don't know about Apple pay, etc, not yet worked out how to use it!
  21. Good point to make.
  22. Which nationality passport? Sounds good news!
  23. No surprise there, unfortunately. Perhaps this tragedy will lead to a tightening up. I hope so, but I am pessimistic.
