But now, that day will never come.” Bowornthat’s elder sister, known as Kob, also said the family remained unconvinced by talk of possible suicide and wanted a thorough investigation into the circumstances before his death. She said her brother had been healthy, had no known medical conditions and had never shown behaviour suggesting severe stress or emotional difficulties. The family also raised concerns over unanswered questions surrounding events before his death and details from the scene, saying more information was needed before they could accept any conclusion. The Thai travel YouTuber “Hlun Solo” has been found dead in a hotel room in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, more than two weeks after his family last had contact with him. This doesn’t sound right at all. The normal process is that Literary Agents(I take it you don’t have one) recommend books to publishers. Publishers recommend books to bookshops via sales reps. So the issue normally with unsolicited manuscripts is getting literary agents, or if you don’t have one to get publishers, to read them. I suppose if you are having to self publish(paying to do so yourself, because no one else will) and sending these or your manuscripts direct to bookshops I can see why you are not getting very far. This is sometimes known as Vanity Publishing.

I am not taking anyone's side. Hell, I was demonstrating against the Vietnam War outside the US embassy in London. I just like accurate information. Just because you have read a few books doesn't make you infallible. While the previous appalling bombing of Cambodia and Laos was kept secret, are you still asserting that Nixon was keeping the incursion/invasion into Cambodia secret? Some way to keep a secret!

I am bothered by blithe inaccuracies which undermine the narrative of historic events. Whatever you call it the operation to send US troops into Cambodia on a short term basis cannot be described as "secret". The "Fishhook" area was so named because of it's appearance on a map as it is part of Cambodia that protrudes into the land mass of Vietnam. The downgrade from "invasion", which I queried, to "incursion" is appropriate given it was a time(two months) and distance(30KM) limited operation for the Americans to remove North Vietnamese military bases from the Cambodian border area. Although the previous bombing of that area had been secret the incursion was certainly not as Nixon announced it on nationwide TV within a couple of hours of the US army crossing the border.

Hey Hey! I can't see the title of this thread without thinking of the Monkees and their first track. A bit of light relief.

Interesting that there was such a variance in attitudes between the two areas. Any thoughts as to the reason for that?
