They should have smoking rooms although I don't agree with smoking just like Australia and I'm sure the UK has Government run heroin injecting rooms to assist in harm minimisation , it's not to agree but to help these people,show some empathy please 

Has anyone seen the old Aussie guy who sits outside the Cocka2 bar frequently coughing his lungs up smoking continually 

He is welcome to smoke as it helps him and I for one sat  there one day and cried with him as he told me he had lung disease , 

We must show understanding and be there when needed to help when they are ready to stop

I hope not. Because as a non-smoker, I find it really disgusting and will be standing outside again soon if it does.

I hope the bar does hire muscular guys. But preferably a little younger and fresher than the average Tawan guy.

Yup, I thought so too. Thus far, the only bar that allows smoking in the bar that I know of is the current incarnation of Boyz Boyz Boyz in Pattaya.

Quite a few do over in Sunnee, noticed Castro Show Bar in Boystown did. X-Boys don't, same for Dream Boys.

Must admit, when I first visited Nice Boys a couple of years ago, there were ashtrays on the tables, so partook for a bit of 1980's nostalgia. As a rule, "nipping out for a breath of fresh air".

In the interest of doing research for this board, and completely not for any sense of self gratification on my part, I decided to amend my travel plans and report back on this auspicious occasion, ie the opening of the White Cat bar.

So I arrived at Patpong at 8pm and had my usual chicken and basil rice from a stall with young ladies who are really delightful and always know what my menu choice is. And from there it was back and forth to check out the bar. There was a single chair at the bottom of the stairs, but I never saw anyone sitting on it. Sometimes the door was open and sometimes it was closed. Looking back, I guess I should have just walked up the stairs just to be nosey and try to find out what was going on.

Anyway, I left at 10 30pm, but hopefully when I return to Bangkok, it will have already been officially opened.

 

It is on the left hand side of Patpong, walking up from Silom and is discreetly located between 2 "pussy" bars.

Atlas should have been a winner. From what I have heard it was mismanaged.

I had to read your post twice because your opening paragraph seemed to suggest that it had opened for business ("ie the opening of the White Cat bar")  and you were about to report on a visit. But in the end your likely conclusion was that it had not yet opened - is that right? 

Your dedication is appreciated. I believe you parked yourself at a nearby chicken rice stall for two and a half hours to be in the vicinity for regular checks.

Why do you think Atlas was mismanaged? And since White Cat has the same owner (based purely on what I am reading here; I have no new information), are you then of a similar opinion as @khaolakguy?

From the information given in this thread, I understood it would be opening on Sunday, so I went along to check it out. People must have thought who is this weirdo wandering backwards and forwards.

One of the Tawan boys was negative about his boss and I know that some of the boys had already left Atlas to return to Tawan.

Last year I suggested to the boss that they needed to advertise the times of the shows, etc.

Anyway, the sign is up now and I guess it's just a matter of time
