I actually think the guy in the video lit up because he's working there to get everything ready for the opening, and the bar isn't open. I don't expect it to be normal to smoke in the bar. I hope not. Because as a non-smoker, I find it really disgusting and will be standing outside again soon if it does. Hopefully, they'll be able to open the bar on the planned date of February 1st... Who'll be the first from our forum to take a look? I hope the bar does hire muscular guys. But preferably a little younger and fresher than the average Tawan guy. floridarob and mauRICE 2 Quote

Yup, I thought so too. Thus far, the only bar that allows smoking in the bar that I know of is the current incarnation of Boyz Boyz Boyz in Pattaya. Quote

X-Boys don't, same for Dream Boys. Must admit, when I first visited Nice Boys a couple of years ago, there were ashtrays on the tables, so partook for a bit of 1980's nostalgia. As a rule, "nipping out for a breath of fresh air". mauRICE 1 Quote

Popular Post Kiwi306 Posted February 2 Popular Post Posted February 2 In the interest of doing research for this board, and completely not for any sense of self gratification on my part, I decided to amend my travel plans and report back on this auspicious occasion, ie the opening of the White Cat bar. So I arrived at Patpong at 8pm and had my usual chicken and basil rice from a stall with young ladies who are really delightful and always know what my menu choice is. And from there it was back and forth to check out the bar. There was a single chair at the bottom of the stairs, but I never saw anyone sitting on it. Sometimes the door was open and sometimes it was closed. Looking back, I guess I should have just walked up the stairs just to be nosey and try to find out what was going on. Anyway, I left at 10 30pm, but hopefully when I return to Bangkok, it will have already been officially opened. It is on the left hand side of Patpong, walking up from Silom and is discreetly located between 2 "pussy" bars. Atlas should have been a winner. From what I have heard it was mismanaged. jamiebee, BL8gPt, vinapu and 2 others 4 1 Quote
macaroni21 Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Thanks @Kiwi306 for your public service. I had to read your post twice because your opening paragraph seemed to suggest that it had opened for business ("ie the opening of the White Cat bar") and you were about to report on a visit. But in the end your likely conclusion was that it had not yet opened - is that right? Your dedication is appreciated. I believe you parked yourself at a nearby chicken rice stall for two and a half hours to be in the vicinity for regular checks. 5 hours ago, Kiwi306 said: Atlas should have been a winner. From what I have heard it was mismanaged. Why do you think Atlas was mismanaged? And since White Cat has the same owner (based purely on what I am reading here; I have no new information), are you then of a similar opinion as @khaolakguy? Kiwi306 Posted February 4 Posted February 4 From the information given in this thread, I understood it would be opening on Sunday, so I went along to check it out. People must have thought who is this weirdo wandering backwards and forwards. One of the Tawan boys was negative about his boss and I know that some of the boys had already left Atlas to return to Tawan. Last year I suggested to the boss that they needed to advertise the times of the shows, etc. Anyway, the sign is up now and I guess it's just a matter of time jamiebee and vinapu 1 1 Quote

Popular Post hank75 Posted March 21 Popular Post Posted March 21 In preparation for Songkran, Moonlight has theirs models dancing along Silom Road and parading down Thaniya and the BTS steps. Some new faces (one guy has an attractive smile and even more attractive body), many old ones. Babe still managing to cling on to his position as the star. Nicky visibly thicker around the middle. Matthew285 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago 17 hours ago, Keithambrose said: "and I'm sure the UK has Government run heroin injecting rooms to assist in ..." No we don't. I think their is only one room and it is in Glasgow. AI search result below The short answer is yes, but for many years, the UK government resisted them. The first official facility only recently opened in Glasgow in early 2025. Before that, any "injection rooms" were either unofficial, mobile, or part of a different type of medical treatment. Here is the timeline of how they evolved in the UK: 1. The Official Site: Glasgow (2025) In January 2025, the UK’s first officially sanctioned Safer Drug Consumption Facility (SDCF) opened in Glasgow, Scotland. Location: Hunter Street Health and Care Centre. How it works: It allows people to bring their own drugs and use them in a clean, supervised environment with medical staff on hand to prevent overdoses. The Law: This was only possible after the Lord Advocate (Scotland's top prosecutor) issued a statement saying it would "not be in the public interest" to prosecute people for simple possession within the facility.
