That's a no-brainer. February is the best weather in Thailand, April the worst (hot and humid). Furthermore, Thai New Year falls in April. Some people like it, others don't to the extent of leaving the country.

It's been awhile since I was last in BKK (but I'm going back in a few weeks), but I always start the massage by going commando under the clothes they give to wear during the massage. Inevitably, they will start massaging around the groin and feel that my cock is loose under that thin fabric (and sometimes there's even a wet spot from pre-cum if there's enough action around the groin lol). Yes the oil is a nuisance during afters, the only benefit is that the customer starts massage nude.

Thai massage has some stretches that I don't like (I'm not flexible in my bones and joints), but will try again to see how to go from massage to fun.

I didn't put on the minute underwear provided, made that obvious, and felt his cock! Hey Presto,  off came his clothes! One more thing that I found a little confusing. In some topics for Massage places , it displays the cost of massage and the minimum tip for the masseur.

While here and in some other topics people talk about negotiating the price during the massage for extras. 

so is it

massage price + minimum tip + extra services cost

or

massage price + minimum tip is what is negotiable for extras

In Silom area, few shops have minimum tip (Senso is an exception).

Minimum tips do not include fee that goes to the shop.

In Saphan Kwai, most shops have minimum tips in the 800-1200 range (800 is usually for "soft" services such as happy ending).

My experience is that most guys in SK will satisfied with minimum tip if they are the top. A minority may ask for more if you expect them to cum. There are no hard rules about this. You just have to work things out in the room. But it's not rocket science because it's in their interest to end with a satisfied customer.

An exception is Phoenix Massage where the fixed 1200 tip includes your choice of service.

Agree that the haggling can sour the mood from the get-go. In the few instances where he's determined to pursue it, I just opt for massage only (and tip for soft service) rather than prolong tit-for-tat any longer. Both of us give up a desired outcome.

This kind of policy is what will encourage me to bypass the other 6-8 spas in SK and walk all the way to Phoenix Massage when I visit in a few weeks. lol But I understand why others might prefer to take their chances on negotiating tips to lower the overall cost. It's all about options.

agree, for 1 hour session. I usually go for 1.50 hr and tip 1500 unless min tip is higher

Phoenix is about 25 minute walk from SK BTS stop. Turn left off Suthisan Winitchai Rd. on to Inthamara 25 and you'll come to shop on your left side in about one minute.

Sutthisan Winitchai's side alleys are numbered in an orderly way from Inthamara Soi 1 upwards, and every soi is well-signed. Phoenix Massage on Soi 25 is therefore very easy to find. 

This is Soi 25. Phoenix Massage is the shop with the yellow lightbulbs.

I see you asked for pictures of the inside. THe above is the only photo I have. There is really nothing else worth photographing. Were you expecting a luxurious spa complete with marble, fountains and statues of Greek Gods? Its pricing should tell you it's going to be basic. Actually,it exceeded my expectations. Compare this green room with the room from Prince that @12is12 posted in the thread https://www.gayguides.com/topic/73269-bangcock-2nd-report-massage/ which costs nearly twice as much as Phoenix.
