Lucky isn't around much to make the following observations, so I thought I would step in.. Today we have had only 5 new postings started. There have been a total of 26 posts made (including new posts and responses to existing posts). Of those 26 posts, exactly half (13) were very short, basic responses such as "I like pic number x or " I agree". While these posts are appreciated by the OP, they don't really add much to the conversation on their own. I understand the this messageboard and all others are cyclical, and have ups and downs as far as postings, but this place is turning into a cemetery.. I ALMOST welcome a bitch fight from Glutes to get some blood flowing a…

After writing about Peter O’Toole and Lawrence of Arabia, I started thinking about those moments in older movies with a gay sub-theme which were amongst the most memorable I have seen. In the last 20 years or so, Hollywood has almost embraced gay themes. But it was not always so. Lawrence certainly has at least one such moment (but not gay-related) – that amazing scene where one of the Arabs emerges as a mirage from the shimmering haze rising from the desert. Simply quite stunning cinematography! Others include two from Visconti’s Death in Venice. Not a great film in my view, it still had some marvellous direction. The very long, lingering opening shot (almost 9…

In a London magistrates court where he was on trial for racist remarks aimed at another soccer player, Chelsea FC’s captain John Terry informed the court this week he had been ‘sent off’ four times in his playing career. His answer was not sufficiently loud, so he was asked by his lawyer – Terry was acquitted of the racism charge, but found guilty of simple-mindedness in the court of public opinion. http://www.telegraph...room-gaffe.html

Poor ol’ Justin! Or I suppose, ‘poor young Justin’ is more accurate. The star has been sued for fathering a child, an allegation finally proved to be false. More such suits will no doubt materialize as time passes. (Now, why doesn’t he just become gay and get rid of pesky paternity suits?) Now he’s facing another legal action, this one beyond ridiculous. An American woman is claiming $9.2 million for alleged permanent hearing loss caused not by Bieber himself, but by his fans! It is supposed to have happened when a gondola containing the Bieb was pulled over the audience. This gondola “acted as a sound conductor, creating a sound blast” as a result of the “frenzy of s…

I know that he was quite unhappy when The Donald took over the site, but he hasn't posted in 6 days, so I wonder if he is safe. Or did he get fired by The Donald and we won't know about it until the next episode?

Who else is enjoying the wonderful show "The Closer" on TNT? The final 6 episodes begin airing tonight. Brenda Lee Johnson has become quite the TV character; one that I think will endure through years of re-runs.

An unauthoritsed biography of Mick Jagger. Mick: the Wild Life and Mad Genius of Jagger, makes a number of controversial claims – * he had numerous affairs with both sexes * he enjoyed a long-term love affair with David Bowie * when Bowie’s wife found them in bed together, she is alleged to have said, “Do you want some coffee?” * “Ava Cherry, a backup singer who lived with the Bowies for a time, reportedly told a friend that ‘Mick and David were really sexually obsessed with each other. Even though I was in bed with them many times, I ended up just watching them have sex.’” * In his early career, Jagger had proclaimed “anarchy is the only slight glim…

My friend Geo Louis is releasing his third music single on June 1st on iTunes. This song is called "Stand Up". His first two singles were dance song’s, “Stand Up” focuses on spreading the message of change. The black eye on the cover symbolizes how he felt beat down by the music industry because of his sexuality, through his music he can now “Stand Up” against it. They really tried to make him keep his sexuality private or they wouldn't promote him. Even Adam Lambert said in a recent interview that this is very apparent throughout the music industry which is why it was such a big deal that Adam's second album debuted at #1 this week as the first openly gay artist to d…

The gay media love to share a list, especially when it involves photos of hot guys at the beach in swimsuits, and we couldn't think of a more appropriate list to report about on this hot and sunny holiday than the one below. Earlier this week GayCities announced their picks for the '10 Best Gay Beaches In The World', packed with photos of sexy sunbathing homos from all over the globe. Take a look at the beachside destinations that made this year's list. Pines Beach - Fire Island Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Playa Los Muertos Miami, FL - 12th Street Beach Rio, Brazil - Farme de Amoedo Tel Aviv, Israel - Hilton Beach Rehoboth, DE - Poodle Beach Santa Monica, CA …

Hard to realise that Lawrence of Arabia was released all of 50 years ago. Surely David Lean’s greatest movie (far superior to Dr. Zhivago, Ryan’s Daughter and the flawed adaptation of E. M Forster’s A Passage to India – and marginally so to Bridge on the River Kwai), it thrust the young Peter O’Toole in the world spotlight. Some reckon he became so identified with the role that he could never really break away from it in the public’s mind. Yet, he still garnered 8 Academy Award acting nominations and holds the record for most nominations without ever having won. Now 80, O’Toole came from a new breed of extraordinary actors. Gone were the upper class accents of the Lau…

Watching the videos of that mega-cruise liner topple over on to its side not only brought the Titanic to mind, its proximity to shore and some very obvious rocks was incredibly obvious. According to CNN the ship was 2.5 miles off course. How is that possible in such a modern vessel, I wonder? And the captain’s comment? “That rock was not indicated on the chart!” I suppose had he lived, the Titanic’s captain might also have claimed, “that iceberg should not have been there!” One appalling fact to emerge from the disaster was the total panic on board and the ineptitude of most of the crew. http://www.cnn.com/2....html?hpt=hp_t1

That’s how a UK judge has described Samsung’s Galaxy 10 Tab when he denied Apple’s case which alleged that Samsung’s product had infringed the design of Apple’s iPad. http://www.bbc.com/n...nology-18773690 I am sure Samsung was pleased with the verdict, but less so with the description of their product, the more so when “not cool” will likely appear whenever someone googles the Samsung Tab!

If you are like me and have trouble with keeping up with your ever changing remotes, try the Logitech Harmony One. It is an amazing product which I think I paid over 200 USD for. However, a friend just bought one for 109 at Radio Shack using coupon code SAVE20. This is a great little device and easy to use and set up! https://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11768289&prodFindSrc=cart
