This, frankly, is just unbelievable! Malaysia had never been slow to ban artists whose performance or dress might be considered provocative in the Islamic nation. Now, someone in the government has banned the Singapore Dance Theatre who were about to give performances of excerpts from such standard classical ballets as Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker". And the reason for the ban? The costumes are regarded as indecent! Indecent? Indecent? That is so ridiculously idiotic one wonders what the Malaysian government regards as decent! As, Bilqis Hijjas, president of local Malaysian umbrella organisation MyDance Alliance, said - http://www.guardian....denied-mala…

I've been watching Mitt Romney and observing him careful. I've listened to him when he talks. I watch his gestures and mannerisms. I think that I finally have the perfect nickname which I will refer to him by from now on. I will now call him MR. MITTENS Take a look when he is talking the next time and you can clearly see with his gestures and his facial expressions why I settled on this very appropriate nickname. I can easily see him going behind the podium after a town hall and cleaning his face with his paws...err..hands. The only thing left to test my theory would be if somebody dangled a ball of yarn in front of him. I have a sneaking feeling that he would knock that…

When the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan introduced the concept of GNH – Gross National Happiness – as being more important than GNP – Gross National Product – back in the early 1970s, those who had even heard of the country dismissed the concept as a laughable. Not any more! Even the United Nations has started to compile statistics based on happiness and life fulfillment. According to the recently published UN World Happiness Report, you will enjoy life far more if you are based in Northern Europe, where Denmark, Finland and Norway head the list, closely followed by The Netherlands. Canada comes 5th, Switzerland 6th with New Zealand and Australia and 8th and 9th resp…

Are you sure you're ready for this?? A man is driving along a highway and sees a rabbit jump out across the middle of the road. He swerves to avoid hitting it, but unfortunately the rabbit jumps right in front of the car. The driver, a sensitive man as well as an animal lover, pulls over and gets out to see what has become of the rabbit. Much to his dismay, the rabbit is the Easter Bunny, and he is DEAD. The driver feels SO awful that he begins to cry. A beautiful blonde woman driving down the highway sees a man crying on the side of the road and pulls over. She steps out of the car and asks the man what's wrong. "I feel terrible," he explain…

BlindGossip – This recording artist has had a very successful solo career for the past few years, and has also collaborated with both black and white artists on other projects. At least one of his albums has been #1 on Billboard, and he has had multiple Grammy nominations/wins. But while he may be a great artist, he’s not a great guy. He has had legal problems in the past, but there are two secrets that he has managed to keep from the public. The first big secret is that he is in the habit of hiring hookers, having sex with them, and then beating them up. This is one seriously angry guy. The second big secret is that these are male hookers he’s been hiring, not female. Y…

A newlywed woman wrote to Dear Abby to ask whether she should be worried that her fit and attractive husband is hanging out with the gays at drinking establishments. Dan has been going out with Harry to gay bars where he gets “hit on” often. I can tell he likes the attention. I should also mention that Dan seems to be considerably less interested in sex lately. His going to gay bars every night is beginning to worry me. If I say anything to him about it, he guilt-trips me about my travel. Is it normal for a straight man to seek out the company of gay men? Abby replies: "It is unusual for a straight man to frequent gay bars. But would you feel better if Dan were g…

Interesting tidbit not earth shattering but I could easily see why two high profile people back then would want less than high profile encounters The book was released about a month ago. Anyone happen to read it? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From the Advocate: A new book will reveal that Cary Grant and Spencer Tracy were among Hollywood stars who used the services of male hustler Scotty Bowers, reports Entertainment Weekly. Publishing house Grove/Atlantic has purchased rights to Bowers's memoir titled Full Service: My Adventures in Hollywood and the Secret Sex Lives of the Stars, David Kuhn, literary agent for Bowers,…

The "Birthers" may have a new item for their arsenal over where President Barack Obama is from. This comes after pictures show the Commander-in-Chief flashing a sign to his Vulcan overlords. Ok, maybe that's a bit of an overstatement. It looks like he's just a fan of "Star Trek." Nichelle Nicols, who played Lt. Uhura on the original series, posted a photo on her Twitter page where she stands with Obama in the Oval Office signaling "Live long and prosper." The photo was taken Feb. 29 when Nichols visited the White House. Following her visit, she says on Twitter, "Months ago Pres. Obama was quoted as saying that he'd had a crush on me when he was younger. I asked about t…

So American Idol had 80's week with the top 8 finalists choosing songs from way before they were born (for all but 2). And really once again none of the performances were that inspiring although Randy Jackson is still on his PR tour talking about this season being the most talented ever. That is their standard quote each season anyway. I admit that I did like Joshua and Jessica's duet as well as each of their individual performances. But Colton is so over rated. His voice is flat and he is definitely no Adam Lambert. I think Hollie may be in danger tonight on the Results show. Her "Flashdance" was all over the place and off key in many parts of the song. I think JL…

Eighties pop icon Boy George shows off a black eye, caused during a bust-up with a club-goer. The 50-year-old former Culture Club frontman - now a successful DJ - was injured as he left the Amadeus nightclub in Northallerton, North Yorkshire on Saturday evening. The star, real name George O'Dowd, was leaving the venue when there was an altercation with a female club-goer. A spokesman for the star claimed: 'George was leaving the club when, the club management have said, a drunken and aggressive woman lunged for his hat - and in doing so hit him in the eye.' The spokesman claimed that as a result of her actions, the woman was asked to leave the club. The star posted t…

Kris Allen is hitting the airwaves with a brand new single. He was the American Idol winner a few years ago and really flopped with his initial release. But his new song is dance music with no apologies. You can hear it below. He is definitely marketing to the gay crowd. Not a bad song at all actually. Good production can help a mediocre performer any day. . . Fan made single cover but this pic is the promotional pic for the new single:

Ryan Seacrest stopped by "Today" Wednesday morning (April 4) to make a big announcement - but no, he's not taking Matt Lauer's anchor job, a rumor that has been flying since last December when Seacrest met with some head honchos from NBC Universal. Instead, Seacrest will be joining the NBC primetime team for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Former "Today" anchor Meredith Vieira has already announced that she will be joining the Olympics coverage team as well. Seacrest also didn't come right out and officially announce his return to "American Idol," but he did say, "I plan to stay there. I think I'll have an official announcement very, very soon. I expect to be on tha…
