http://kck.st/y0Bpjv When will Natural Born Hooker be produced? The Los Angeles production of Natural Born Hooker will open in late Spring / Early Summer 2012 for a six week run at a 99 seat theater. Alright, so what's Natural Born Hooker about? Natural Born Hooker tells the story of a functional male prostitute and his journey through Times Square, porn, five star hotels and Hollywood. Why do you need $25,000 to produce Natural Born Hooker? Keep in mind, this is a six week run (six shows a week.) Our financial goal covers bare essentials: our main cost is rent. Although we're not operating as a non-profit, we're committed to using the show as a vehicle for HIV prevent…

Could you spend an hour away from your cell phone, computer or social media? Probably not. Well then how about a day? An organization called the Sabbath Manifesto wants you to do just that for the third annual "National Day of Unplugging." Starting at sundown on Friday (March 23) and extending through sundown Saturday (March 24) the group is encouraging people to participate in what they're calling "digital detox." The organization explains on their site, "The National Day of Unplugging is a respite from the relentless deluge of technology and information...Shut down your computer. Turn off your cell phone. A married couple claim in a class action that YMCAs, which advertise themselves as safe for families, with “Christian values,” are actually “brothels” for homosexual men “cruising” for sexual relationships, who subject members to unwanted advances. Michael Keister and his wife, Susan Lewis-Keister, sued the National Council of the Young Men’s Christian Association of the United States of America dba YMCA of the USA, YMCA of Western North Carolina and five North Carolina YMCA centers. Keister seeks damages for negligence and infliction of emotional distress from YMCA of Western North Carolina. Keister, of Asheville, says he decided to buy gym memberships for his family …

What was initially a nasty little spat between European airlines and the European Union shows signs of developing into a real trade war. On January 1st, the new EU Emissions Trading Scheme legislation took effect, one with the intention of protecting the environment and cutting greenhouse gas emissions. The aim is to reduce levels to 20% below 1990 levels by the year 2020. The EU took action after it became frustrated with the continued lack of any action on cutting greenhouse emissions by the United Nations. Inevitably, airlines have ben drawn into the mix. The EU directive forces not only airlines operating within Europe to cough up, but also those flying in…

This is a great vintage photo of LA. The Brown Derby was an iconic restaurant frequented by many celebrities. You may remember that Lucy Ricardo went there on their first afternoon in the Hollywood episodes. I just loved this vintage view of LA and wanted to share it.

According to a BBC report, Venice is still sinking, even though the rate has dropped to just 4mm per year – a combination of actual sinking into the lagoon and the rise in sea levels. A huge set of sea barriers to protect the city should be ready by 2014. These, in theory, will halt the annual flooding. They will not stop the city’s slow sinking, though. http://www.bbc.co.uk...onment-17445936 Venice is one of those cities that everyone should see at least once in their lives. I have been fortunate to visit five times, the first way back in 1967. On a clear sparkling day, when the late afternoon sun floods over St. Mark’s Square and into the Basilica of St. Mar…

The grandson of actor Omar Sharif came out in and article published in the Advocate Sunday that he is gay and worried about his safety and family… Omar Sharif Jr. wrote in The Advocate, “I write this article in fear. Fear for my country, fear for my family, and fear for myself. My parents will be shocked to read it, surely preferring I stay in the shadows and keep silent, at least for the time being. But I can’t.” Sharif expressed his disappointment at the recent parliamentary elections, writing that the revolution gave him hope for a “more tolerant and equal society,” but now he is not as hopeful. “The vision for a freer, more equal Egypt – a vision that many young pa…

In the video the father says sarcastically what a brilliant plan, smuggle C4 explosive in the cast of a 3 yr old going disneyworld with his grandparents, siblings, and parents! When I came back from Brazil a few days ago, in DFW they had a 80yr old women in a wheel chair singled out. what a bunch of morons supposedly making us safe! While terrorist plans have be stopped, I would like to know how many people with explosives on them have been stopped at the TSA checkpoints out of the Millions of people they do a year. I was told that because they can't racial profile they have to spread their checks across demographics which is why 3 yr olds and 80yr olds get pulled out of…

Apple's web site is calling it: Resolutionary! And with good reason: The article also mentions that the 25 billionth app was downloaded in China. http://www.cnn.com/2...+Top+Stories%29 http://www.apple.com But, it is slightly heavier. The iPad2 weighed in at 600 grams (or 1.33 lbs.) The iPad3 weighs 652 grams (or 1.44 lbs.) FH, I know this was an important factor in your consideration, so you will have to determine if the new features are more important to you than weight. Up to you. However, if you buy this thing, I will be green with envy. And Khor Tose, eat your heart out!

In what may be the most clever casting ever, CBS has tapped Oscar winner Kathy Bates to make an appearance on an upcoming "Two & A Half Men" playing Charlie Harper's ghost. The scandals surrounding Catholic priests molesting altar boys and others in their charge seems to have died down over the last year. Now, though, there is an even more heinous series of allegations levelled at some priests in the Netherlands. According to a newspaper investigation, up to 11 boys in the care of the Dutch Catholic Church in the 1950s were castrated to rid them of their homosexuality. http://www.bbc.co.uk...europe-17453849
