The Mickey Moosies of the world must be giddy with joy as a judge and congressperson have been shot. So far the Congressperson lives, but with what brain damage we don't know. A child was also killed, among others. The judge himself had ruled that background checks on gun buyers were unconstitutional. Arizona is rapidly becoming the nut state, and I have no problems avoiding it.

Washington (CNN) -- Maryland is poised to become the sixth state to recognize same-sex marriage as proponents say they believe they have enough support to pass such a measure in the upcoming legislative session. The expansion of gay rights appears to have gained significant traction as Maryland's General Assembly begins its 90-day session Wednesday. Not only are Democrats optimistic about their chances of approving same-sex marriage, but a leading Republican, sensing momentum on the issue, has instead countered with a proposal to grant civil unions to gay couples. Democratic Gov. Martin O'Malley has publicly stated that he would sign a marriage bill into law. Maryland t…

Not sure if this will catch on but I thought it would be fun to start a thread about random facts. The key word being randon YouTube had been founded by three former PayPal employees. Chad Hurley, Jawed Karim and Steve Chen in late 2005. Google purchased YouTube in late 2006 for 1.6 billion dollars. A side note, Steve Chen had left his job at the start up Facebook after less than a month to begin YouTube

What is your favorite fast food place? Mine is a mix. I love Subway just about anytime day or night. I can get what I want exactly the way I want it. They do have these world wide but not as much as other American chains. Next would be McDonalds. I grew up on this and it was a few times a month we were treated to a cheeseburger here and still I love the place. I know not good for the calories but nothing beats a Quarter Pounder when you are traveling long distance and have only a few minutes to devour something.

A punter meets a young escort in a bar. They talk; they connect; they end up leaving together.. They get back to his place, And as he shows him around his apartment He notices that one wall of the bedroom is Completely filled with soft, sweet, cuddly teddy bears. There are three shelves in the bedroom, With hundreds and hundreds of cute, Cuddly teddy bears carefully placed In rows, covering the entire wall! It was obvious that he had taken Quite some time to lovingly arrange them And the boy was immediately touched By the amount of thought he had Put into organizing the display. There were small bears all along The bottom shelf, Medium-sized…

Not that death is ruling my day, but this article bout the death by suicide of a 27 year old computer programmer who was raised in a fundamentalist christian family and sexually raped for years fascinates, mostly because of the calm explanation he gives in a lengthy suicide note of what it is like to be haunted for the rest of your life by the horrors of the sexual injustice perpetrated on him: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/01/07/bill-zeller-dead-princeto_n_805689.html

For Arkansas Blackbirds, the New Year Never Came Around 11 that night, thousands of red-winged blackbirds began falling out of the sky over this small city about 35 miles northeast of Little Rock. They landed on roofs, roads, front lawns and backyards, turning the ground nearly black and terrifying anyone who happened to be outside. “One of them almost hit my best friend in the head,” said Christy Stephens, who was standing outside among the smoking crowd at a party. “We went inside after that.” The cause is still being determined, but preliminary lab results from the Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission revealed “acute physical trauma” in samples of the dead bird…

The-agonizing-last-words-of-bill-zeller. I have no particular connection to Mr. Zeller or his experiences, but his eloquent farewell to a tragic life resonated with me. Something about his feeling he's too broken to have a loving relationship and dead-on description of useless counseling hit a bit close to home, at least.

Much like its ITunes Store, Apple has now officially launched the App store that you can download all kinds of great apps for your computer. For me, instant download is much more important than having a CD case that I throw away anyway. In order to see the App store in your dock, go to Apple Icon and Update. It will download a new update that requires you to restart your computer. When it is restarted, a new icon then appears! It has lots of Apps and I download 3 already. It is instant download and the account is attached to your ITunes store account. Way to go Apple! Again!

I know this is going to be a long shot. But after several weeks of trying I'm hoping one of you guys might recall, have bookmarked or even be able to find following video clip. It was a lip sync parody: The first one had been on the ricoreport blog for two years. The song is called, When the Night Feels My Song by Canadian band Bedouin Soundclash. The clip was of two college boys one sitting in a chair so we see his profile. His hair was shaved very close and he lip synced to the song while the second young man we only we from the chest down. He is standing on the far side of the chair facing the camera wearing I believe a brown t-shirt with a school logo and white brie…

Does anyone play the games on Facebook? A friend got me addicted to them about a week ago and I have been obsessed with them ever since. They are fun to play but for those of us that have little self control, it is easy to spend real money to get upgrades to different things faster. I always wondered how games like Farmville was able to make money. Now I know. Millionaire City is a Digital Chocolate game that several friends recommended. Anyone else have cities? Farms? Islands? Other gaming experiences?

With the economy as bad as it is, I found I hired less in 2010 than I have in previous years. I hired only 21 escorts in 2010 compared to over 40 in 2009. I am curious to see how many escorts others on the site hired and if you found that 2010 was less fruitful for you than previous years.

Photo essay comparing European with U.S. attitudes toward teen sex, as depicted in ad campaigns: http://www.slate.com/id/2272631/ "In both Europe and America, the age at which most people start having sex is 17. But that's where similarities about teen sexuality begin and end. Teen pregnancy rates in the United States are three to six times higher than in Western European countries. This means that one out of every three American teenage girls becomes pregnant at least once before she reaches the age of 20. (Even poor countries like Algeria, Sri Lanka, China, and Estonia have lower teen birth rates than we do.) The gap between Europe and the United States for sexually t…

If this was in the U.S., I would put it in the Politics forum. But since it's just Old Europe... Cash-strapped city turns to sex tax A city in Germany, strapped with a 100 million euro (or $133 million) deficit, has taken a novel approach to fixing it: taxing sex, according to Reuters. The city of Dortmund has introduced a day tax on prostitutes to help close its budget gap. "The new 'pleasure tax' requires prostitutes in Dortmund to purchase a 6 euro 'day ticket' for each day they work, or face a potential fine," the Reuters report said. "The city estimates that the new tax will add some 750,000 euros [about $1 million] to its coffers each year." The city of Dor…

Sometimes when visiting the Forum, I check the bottom of the main page to see who's here. I'm used to seeing 'Google' logged in, as their bot crawls around grabbing and indexing MER content for their search engine. Usually 'MSN/Bing' is here too, snagging our stuff for Microsoft's search engine. According to this article, webmasters can keep bots from indexing their pages, but I expect most webmasters welcome them with open arms as they drive traffic to their sites. Try typing "Annual Palm Springs Weekend" into Google's search engine, and you'll find Oliver's kind invitation on Page 1 of the results. Add "escort" to the search term, and we garner three of the top f…

Young pop star Justin Bieber should fall right to sleep after his busy days, but no, he tells Vanity Fair, he suffers from insomnia. Surely there are many teen girls who would sing a lullaby- he should go for it- over the phone, of course. From NY Times, via AP, via Vanity Fair: While many girls dream about Justin Bieber at night, the singing sensation is struggling to fall asleep. The 16-year-old tells Vanity Fair magazine that sometimes he suffers from insomnia. Bieber says his "mind races" at night and it happens because he begins to "think about all the things I didn't have time to think about during the day — like family and God." Bieber says he doesn't always hav…
