The below article discusses an incident that happened with American Airlines and a gate agent in Sao Paulo. Reading through the article, I wonder if the article is accurate or if either the pilot or gate agent is wacko. I am glad this never happened on any of my many trips to Brazil. The passengers had to wait until the next day to catch their flight back to the U.S. Here is the story: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5479145/American-Airlines-pilot-arrested-Brazil-assaulting-worker.html

Hi All, Any chance of hooking up with an English-speaking GP who can also double as a companion/guide? Perhaps even in advance? Notwithstanding language, could you share contact info of nice and trustworthy GPs? PS - any chance of finding in Lagoa a GP who's cut? Thx (-:

Hi Guys, TripAdvisor's forum is unhelpful. Anyone been to these places and can contribute? Looking for recommendations regarding lodges in Pantanal. Also, not clear why June-July is NOT recommended as the season to visit Bonito. Thx (-:

I am in Brasil on vacation from Los Angeles. I've purchased about R$ 850 in gifts (sungas, teeshirts, etc) that I plan to bring back to the US when I depart next week. A US friend has suggested that I separate the gifts from their gift bags and pull off the price tags - I guess in an effort to make them look like I brought them in with me. Any need to do this? Thank you.

Funny story, some of you may agree ... I try out different gyms (day or month pass) when longstaying Rio. Late Dec on 1st day at a Lapa gym, 25 min walk from apt, immediately spot this enormous stacked 6'5" mainly Afro-admixtured muscle-stud on the weights level. I try not to get bogged down by hesitation, so promptly introduced myself, which is easier in Brazil, to "Rafael" and asked if he competed ... no. A few friendly looks exchanged working out. I thought: OK, I like this academia and I have 5 weeks to flirt to possible fruition ... but it would be a gay-for-pay situation. I am 2.5X his age. I tend to get a little obsessional and fixated. Second gym visit, …

Hi Guys, I'll be visiting SP in June. according conventional wisdom on this forum Friday is the time for Lagoa, but that's the only evening I won't be able to attend. Which are the other good days? Which ones to avoid? Best activity hours? Can I do Lagoa and Bar Fama on the same night, or do their peak times overlap? According to Google maps, it's a 30 minutes drive from one to the other... Are any of the venues on this list worth a visit? http://vamosgay.com/latin-america/brazil/sao-paulo/gay-saunas-cinemas-and-sex-clubs-of-sao-paulo-brazil/ Thx (-:

Last year I bought a 2nd home in Mexico and on my first trip there took a guy from Sao Paulo that I really liked to Mexico with me, it was the first time in all these years that I took someone with me on a trip as I always like to have "choices" and did not want to be tied down to one guy. Saying that, I have to admit it was great having him there and we had a great time and did a number of 3 somes off of Grindr. My next 5 trips there I went alone as the scene in this city is very busy and there is no problem finding available guys! then my last trip the same guy from SP was there again and again we had a great 10 days. When I was in Rio a month ago I met a…

I've stayed in both apt's & hotels in Brasil....Was wondering if anyone has links of good, inexpensive places they've stayed? Looking for about $50 usd per night, I only need a place to sleep and fuck, nothing fancy but not a dump either. Black out curtains a plus, A/C, Wifi, and no street noise (has been my biggest problem in the apt's I've stayed. Rio , I prefer Copa SP, I like Centro

I think this video was made around 2006, all of these guys were working in the saunas of Rio then and 5 of them I have been with. The first guy pictured in the start of the video as well as the next two were all nice guys, the first one went on to being Calvin Klein's BF for about a year and he got him a visa when it was impossible to get them, he went to Miami and NYC with him and became fluent in English. Allison one of the two guys in the opening scene still looks exactly the same I originally met him in 2002 and ran into him last trip, He has to be around 34 now and still looks the same! https://www.xvideos.com/video26911353/suruba#_tabFavs

i just returned from 12 Days in Brazil and For what it’s worth, these were imo the best nights! 12. So I am considering if I could get a garoto to come and visit me in the US for 1 or 2 weeks. I am reading in a couple of places that visas are really hard to get, even a tourist visa. Is that really that hard? My garoto already has a passport, but is jobless. Have you tried before? If yes, what kind of hoops will he have to go through? Especially: - is it often simply just refused, no matter how much paperwork you have done? - how long do they take to make a decision? - do they need an invitation letter from me? - what is the cost?

I am here carnival now and having a great time as always—but I thought this warranted a separate topic. In the last 24 hours I’ve witnessed the following—I was tear gassed at the base of Farme de Amoedo as the police tried to clear the beach street— it was a near riot as the locals were throwing bottles and cans at the police who had riot shields. . I saw two people having their cellphones lifted including that of a very savvy Brazilian friend of mine who was standing right next to me on Farme de Amoedo. I saw numerous fights on the beach with the beach vendors bringing out long sticks to go beat people who they thought were stealing To top it all off my two frien…

Having a true fascination for drag queens around the world and having been to Rio many times to see the diversity of the sexuality of Carnival, I was happy to read that one of the companies was promoting diversity this year! https://www.washingtonpost.com/entertainment/rio-kicks-off-carnival-parade-with-anti-establishment-tone/2018/02/11/

Howdy, I'll be traveling to Rio from Feb 7 to Feb 20... and I've just realized that it's right smack in the middle of Carnival (Feb 9 to Feb 13)... will the boys at the saunas be affected much by Carnival?... meaning, will they be too busy partying that they won't be working? It's been 5 years since I have been to Rio and one of my main motivations is to re-visit the saunas; I'm not much of a partier and I don't flock to loud music. Any recommendations of places or cities nearby to go hideaway with an active sauna scene? Let me know if anyone is also in Rio during this time-frame. Thanks!

I will be in Rio last two weeks of March (and São Paulo) first two weeks of june. If any forum members are interested in meeting up please let me know. My only prior sauna experience with boys have been thermas in Barcelona which I loved. I have been to Brazil before but never to the sauna - was too timid in the past but not anymore so am super excited. i promise to report back properly in time as I have leanrt so much from this forum and want to give something back ! On a side note I am spending a few days in Ilha Grande. Does anyone know the likelihood of finding “ company”there or best to take a special friend from Rio instead of chancing it. cheers guy…

I am making my 5th trip to Rio this week and need some advice on currency exchange. I keep reading on here that you should not exchange dollars at the airport as you do not get a good rate but I am not really sure of where else I should go. I don’t like using ATM’S in foreign countries so I always exchange cash. In the past I have always done this at the airport (I know I’m not smart for doing this) but I really do not know where the best place would be that will give me the best rate and lowest fee so I have just settled for the convenience of the airport exchange. I don’t have to exchange the minute I land as I still have some Brazilian cash left from my last trip. …

  25. I originally posted this at Daddy's Reviews in response to a question, but I almost never visit that site, and I prefer to contribute here, so here's my take on the Wet & Wild Boat Tour: I have done the tour twice, once with a friend and once alone. The owner/operator/host is a hyped up (understandably, since I saw him snorting something more than once) hustler who hires local strippers as the crew. It is an all-inclusive (except for the tips) deal. You depart in the late morning, head to Los Arcos, where they give you a chance to snorkel for about 15 minutes or so, using very basic, ill-fitting gear (don't think of this as an actual snorkeling tour or you will b…
