In one month from now, I am leaving for the East coast of South America. It will be 6 days in Rio, 3 days in Porto Alegre, 2 days in Montevideo, 2 days in Buenos Aires + travel time. Hi guys I was hoping to visit Rio 1 to 12 February but look like I've left it too late as flight prices are very expensive and accommodation all seems to be booked up. Carnival time so everything is booked up or out of my price range. I'm pretty fussy on where I stay and previously have used Ibis which were reasonable, nicely furnished and allowed guests overnight. I had been in colombia for two weeks in December 2017. Here are some brief thoughts on Medellin and Bogota. Medellin: wonderful place, nice weather (always sunny and spring-like), safe (though I never walked after 9pm in the center). Grinder is the way to go. I took these Thanksgiving week. Great excursion potential with your favorite BT from SP, Rio, BA, etc. No guy would turn down the invite. After about 8 or 9 months I was back at sauna 202. The night was billed as "the return of Junior". For the best of my knowledge tthe last time I was there he had already recouped ownership of the place, so I don't know what the fuss was all about.
