In my favorite city on earth and the weather is not ideal...AT ALL... It is winter after all so the weather is really breezy....cool...Not the typical hot tropical climate that Im used to when I come to Rio... Hit the beach...pretty amazed there were still people on the sand and getting into the water even with the cool weather...but the sun was out after not being out for some days... Got an amazing massage from my regular beach guy....much needed after the flight from MIA... Now to the good stuff... 117....pretty slow...actually the slowest it has been in a LONG TIME for me coming to Rio...I guess it has to do with the season...(I normally don't…

Aside from the very old and not well maintained Atlantico hotel, can anyone recommend other gay friendly hotels? The hotel staff where I am currently staying is indifferent toward gays. Twice they stopped and questioned my companion who is registered at the hotel. When I inquired about this, they focused on "hotel security": POR FAVOR. For 2 days I intentionally sat in the lobby to watch people entering the hotel. A few times I saw guys arrive with obvious female prostitutes (one guy came in twice with different girls) and no one said a damn thing to them. To think we still have to go through this kind of crap in 2017. I wish to change hote…

1st Timer Colombia here from Amsterdam. I am planning a trip to Colombia and will visit BOGOTA, MEDELLIN AND SANTA MARTA. Can anyone advise about places to stay? I am looking at Airbnb in Chapinero but maybe it is safer and better to stay in a hotel? Same counts for Medellin, Poblado? Airbnb or hotel? I read about 61 Prado guesthouse in Medellin. It is cheap and people are very positive about it. It's 5 minutes walking to metrostation PRADO. Not sure if the area is safer than Poblado? The area is called "La Candelaria" so if anyone has some feedback it is highly appreciated. Many guys talk about CLUB TOBI but is it easy to find? I don't understand the EAST side…

This tall lean jackknifing cutie is an example of what can dive into your lap, or what hands can grab on to your head, when visiting Rio ... he has been a working guy at Clube 117 off and on this year.

  7. My dear fellows, Taking a break from exhausting weeks at work, I will spend this Sat and Sun @ Rio. Of course it is a hunting for big dicks on the saunas! I have been there in the past and the experience has been pretty good. Not stellar, but good. If someone plans to visit Club 117 and would like to come with a "colleague", let me know!

I know we are all aware to some extent of the incompetence, corruption and mismanagement of resources in Brazil. This article, however, on Rio's decaying legacy of 2016 is a shocking summary. (The Daily Mail is a UK newspaper with a hugely popular news website) http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4803642/Dashed-hopes-Rio-2016-s-lasting-legacy.html

Aside from the saunas, where do gays hang out during the day at the beach in Copacabana? And are there areas, for example restaurants etc, where gays hang out at night?

Anyone ever been here and had any experiences here? Im not interested in the online rentboy scene but I like strip clubs and street scenes/brothels/saunas. Anyone have some advice/experience?

In an anticipated first trip to Guadalajara, Mexico I contacted 10 escorts from an internet site. A month later I decided not to go and informed the guys of this. Wirhin the next few days I received email requests FROM ALL 10 GUYS asking for me to lend money to them because of recent emergencies, medical crisis, family health problems, etc. I was absolutely shocked by this! Again, the requests came from not one guy but from all of them - unbelievable!!! I am glad I cancelled my trip and will have no contact with any of these guys. I dread to think about what they would try to do to exploit money from me if I were actually there.

Guys, how do you scan your passport!!!!??? Within the Airbnb framework Jumio program. I need this info/advice now, not wait days for an Airbnb admin response. I have obscured screenshot for this forum, but of course would clear the focus in real time ... just want to show you that this is the point of stall. once I point the camera, there is no further cue as to how to scan it. I had already been verified for years but this just occurred for a new attempted booking. Techies with know-how, please help damsel bobbalina in distress!!

A few days ago, I read a thread at http://www.daddysreviews.com pertaining to an escort website in Colombia. Its address is: http://www.escortbuk.com. You guys who have traveled there along with those of us who might venture there one of these days might find it to be of some value and use.

You might enjoy these point-and-shoot iPhone photos. Some are Sugarloaf at dusk from my Praia Flamengo Airbnb window, some are dawn looking northeast (you can see a plane at the right of one of the frames coming in to land at Santos Dumont. Corcovado early Sunday morning, and for good measure, there are other things with upraised arms to admire and, erm, kneel before. The guy is from his personal pics minus face; I obscured it), was at 117 last Fall. I will do these in sets, to follow: BTW, dead of winter here is a great time to visit, fantastic weather (70sF).

I have been asked by several people which place I like better or which one is better for meeting up with guys? It really depends on what perspective you are coming from. and I can only speak of the one city in Mexico as that is where all my experiences have been there this past 16 months. Before I compare and give my thoughts, I do know that the "non" resort towns/cities are much cheaper then if you are trying to hire in Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico city, etc. and while the available guys are many in any of the cities(Grindr is a must have app!) there is a bigger selection of "muscle guys" in the resort cities. typical price for a guy is 500 pe…

The Favela, is the name given to the slums in and around the large cities of Brazil. There are many favelas existing around the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paolo. A Favela exists when homeless people or squatters occupy vacant plots of land, and build their homes out of things they can get scavenging. Today, millions of Brazilians live in these mazes of shanties. Approximately 6% of the entire Brazilian population lives in Favelas, roughly 15 Million, most of which are in Rio and Sao Paulo.

  22. VPNs fail at changing the location on mobile apps because the location is determined via GPS and not through mobile data information. I want to chat with guys on Grindr in Colombia and Brazil in preparation for my trip and practice language skills as well. Has anyone of you successfully tried changing your Grindr location from the US to any Latin American country without jailbreaking the iPhone? Care to share how? I tried both Norton and VyprVPN but both failed.

  23. I, like most of the people in the forum, travel often to Brazil and other parts of Latin America and the rest of the world... I learned some Portuguese and Spanish for myself...for me it is good to at least understand what is going on around me and to be able to ask basic questions... Its also important for me to be able to read signs and understand as much as possible... I have met people who speak English everywhere that I have traveled but find that I really get to experience the culture and the people through people who sometimes don't speak English... How important is it for you to learn the local language to wherever you are visiting?

I decided to go back to Brazil in Sept but given what I have heard about the state of Rio's Saunas lately I decided to spend the first weekend in Belo Horzonte where a lot of the Rio sauna boys seem to come from and I have two guys from 2010 that I met in Rio when they were 18/19 and met in Rio but have stayed in contact with after their one summer in 2010 in Rio and are now 25 and have offered to show me the sights! plus I want to visit Olympia sauna! then I will spend 5 days in Rio with the guys I hang with there and then the last weekend go to Porto Alegre where I have some guys I have also know for a number of years.
