Planning my next trip to the wonderful Latin America. Haven't been to either Panama City or Bogota, but have always heard nice things about them in terms of scenery, guys, and things to do. The airfare to either city varies by about $100. Hotel cost looks pretty much the same. Not sure about food cost, transportation, and other stuff. What are your thoughts and suggestions? Any things to watch out for? Surprisingly, I don't find many posts about Panama City, and as for Bogota, it goes up and down.

I recently discovered that, by law, idade 65+ Metro users ride for free. I recently reached this milestone. I have done it on Metro and VLT. The hitch is one is required to show proof. I am reluctant to carry my passport but it has been hit and miss attempting to use my color xerox copy. Having the often hunky Metro cops get their fob out to turnstile me through is an added bonus. So, I changed my travel plans from my intended trip back to Rio. Due to a few factors, I decided to check out Columbia instead (and possibly head to Brazil afterwards). Will arrive into Bogota Jan 15 and have a flight back to California on Feb 4.
