  1. Yes Max, every time I return home after several weeks in Pattaya indulging in risky gay sex, I worry that this time the odds on developing a sexual related disease will have caught up on me. I’ve indulged in unprotected anal sex on occasions there in the past 20 years and oral every time. The more I think about it, the more I cannot understand why I haven’t contracted an STD, but each time I go for a test it thankfully is negative. Perhaps I should quit whilst I am ahead.
  2. Over the last 20 years of visiting Pattaya I have always enjoyed kissing gay Asian boys, both in bed and also in gay bars and on Dongtan beach. Mostly they will allow it including tongue kissing, although on occasions when I find reluctance, I do not persist as doing so would spoil the occasion. I can’t remember ever asking permission.
  3. I made a trip to Pattaya during late June/early July which was right at the end of Covid restrictions, visiting Sunee (Winner boy bar) and Jomtien Complex, offing boys from both and also from internet sites ( Romeo and Grindr). The bars were very quiet but I anticipated that by now tourism, specifically gay tourism, would have recovered to “normal” levels, but that is not evidently the case. I think two factors are negatives at the moment, the price of airfares (checking Expedia I see that a return ticket U.K. - Bkk, late November / early December is around £1250, double pré-Covid. Also there has been a lot of publicity on U-tube about the floods in Thailand. The Complex is supported to a large degree by expats rather than tourists like myself, but they are more cost sensitive than the latter, particularly as regards drinks. So maybe the Complex, like the other 2 gay venues is doomed to fade away, as far as the farang trade is concerned anyway. I will have to decide whether to make the trip soon. - a friend asked me to accompany him to Spain so that is an option, but there are no Asian boys there !
  4. I very much enjoy being rimmed in conjunction with having my balls licked. I try to make it clear to boys I’m about to off what my requirements are but later in bed I sometimes encounter reluctance from him to actually commence. In the bar with the language barrier I’m usually not convinced he understands what rimming entails and even when the boy has some English a vague reply of assent to my request does give me confidence that he will perform. However over the years I have been rimmed by a good proportion of money boys and during periods when I had longer term relationships I was able to “train” my “boyfriend” to accede. I’ve not had any sexual health problems from rimming or indeed from oral sex, but maybe I’ve been lucky as I think I was when I indulged in bareback anal sex when I first discovered Thailand.
  5. I visit always visit Canterbury Tales bookshop during my Pattaya trips where there is a fantastic selection of used books by most popular authors. Good books are an essential item for my holidays there often reading them on the beach. I have chatted to several of the old expats sat outside. Interesting to hear about all their issues like accommodation and visas. They mostly are in some sort of relationship with a Thai woman and once I was asked if I was also. I had to admit that I was gay which did not seem to surprise them - Pattaya seems to accommodate all varieties of expats and long term visitors.
  6. After starting holidaying in Thailand I realised that it was A whole different ball-game but I never complained about the greater expense after Spain. I’ve always found the boys worth every penny or baht and intend god-willing to be still returning into old age.
  7. Prior to discovering Thailand in 2002 I spent quite a few holidays in gay favoured resorts in Spain and Greece, principally Playa del Ingles on the island of Gran Canaria. Then needless to say I was a lot younger and much better looking. I used to hit the gym hard for weeks before the trip. There was very little gay for pay involved and most time was spent on the gay beach and enjoying the nightlife. Plenty of sex yes but not essentially involving money. The nightlife was not priced much different to that in str bars and clubs but I always got though a fair bit of money.
  8. Pleased to hear that it has reopened. I visited a lot pre-Covid both on my own or occasionally taking a boy with me. Not sure what I paid for the latter, maybe the farang price. it was very popular about 10-15 years ago but attendance had fallen during 2017 to 2020, but I suppose this was general in gay Pattaya.
  9. I was in Pattaya during July and had an enjoyable time having a boy in my bed most nights. Getting to Sunee was no problem by walking or taking a motor bike taxi, where I offed boys from Winner, taking them back to Boystown where I had a nice stay in the Ambiance. Bringing boys there from The Complex was also easy, helped by the quieter roads in that period. As you mentioned checking the websites Romeo and Grindr produced good results.
  10. Over the years pre Covid I spent a lot of afternoons on the gay beach and very often got into conversation with other gays of various nationalities. Principle subjects discussed were health and medical, pensions, the visa rules, price of condos and of course boys. Many said they hardly ever visited the boy bars and if they did it was just to socialise with friends, but nevertheless most had Asian boyfriends either currently or in the past. One said that the gogo’s were just for boy orientated tourists like me. the figure on 12is12’s post of 2000 gay expats could be right but I see no.prospect of the Thais doing a census. I’ve never been an expat - my longest stay was about 2007 when I spent 2 1/2 months in Thailand.
  11. In June/July the gogos had not really got into full swing with the exception of Winner from where I offed on three occasions . Transit between the three gay areas was quick and easy due to the quieter than normal roads and because I have no fear using motor bike taxis even three up. That was the theme of my post. I think for my next trip I will go back to staying in the Complex, with its profusion of boys, both twinks and more mature.
  12. Pre Covid I often stayed in the Complex at one of the gay friendly hotels (Zing, Agate and Poseidon). But I enjoyed looking for boys in the BT and Sunee gogos. Returning later with an offed boy was usually by motor bike taxi taking what seemed like no time at all. On arrival it was good to sit in one of the bars for a while taking in the late night scene. in this way I to some degree combined the advantages of the three areas. However during my June/July trip this year I operated the other way round by staying at the Ambience and bringing boys back on two occasions from the Complex.
  13. Agree 100% - when I made longer trips to Pattaya ( 1 to 4 months) I usually acquired a longer term young boyfriend living with me in a rented condo. I gave regular money at weekly or 10 day intervals and can remember one boy feeding part of the gift into an atm to be withdrawn by his mother in Isaan. Of course in addition there were small gifts such as clothes and cheap jewellery but most was cash. After receiving the cash one boy treated his friends, but I was rewarded by good attitude and sex.
  14. No I’m afraid I haven’t - over the years I’ve been too much of a creature of habit, returning again and again to Pattaya. It’s not for Iack,of information - there is plenty of that on gay and general sites and I have followed your excellent thread within the Philippines section of this site. i will have to take the plunge and go. But I will have to master Grindr which I found difficult during my recent Pattaya visit. As I understand it Grindr is a major way to contact boys for gay tourists like myself.
  15. Yes I’ve heard that Filipino boys are better in a long term relationship. A few years ago when I had a longer term boy I was friendly with another gay who had brought his boy back to Pattaya for an extended period. I plus b/f went with them for the day to Koh Larn - it was good to talk to the Filipino who was a fluent English speaker which I think is a big plus. i have it in mind to make a longer visit next time with a plan to be a daddy again after completing the first couple of weeks. A quieter life would be advisable for my health rather than making the rounds of the bars offing boys, but I am mindful of the point Boy69 makes.
  16. I’ve heard that justification from several “boyfriends” when I was reluctant to open my wallet to pay for their latest present (clothes phones jewellery etc) I’ve not had a “boyfriend” for several years now but during a couple of more long term visits in the past to Pattaya the ones I had were more like longer term offs when I made regular payments every few days in return for their company in and out of bed. In my rented condo block there were other gay farangs with the same arrangements with Boys, of course much younger than themselves.
  17. Up to a couple of years ago I used to rent a motor scooter of which I made extensive use for myself and was very often accompanied by boyfriends. I think I was a carefull rider and in fact I never had any sort of accident. I was fined a couple of times - once for going the wrong way up a one way street and the other because the bike had not got a valid test certificate. I never used them when I had drunk more than one beer. I always refused requests by boyfriends for them to use the bike.
  18. During my recent 2 week trip to Pattaya I offed 2 boys from Winner (not all together I need add, those days are past for me). One gave highly satisfactory service but the other one, a really cute twink, would not let me fuck him, despite some time spent kissing sucking. I’m versatile but I was set on being top with him as his cock didn’t look strong enough. I just had to accept it when he repeated several times “cannot” . I terminated the session and reduced his tip from the generous one I was intending. I had tried to make it clear in the bar what my expectations were but had not got a “written contract “. You cant win them all !.
  19. Z909 Yes - looking at the boys in your 3 pictures I would certainly visit any bar who had boys like those. I particularly focussed on these two who are wearing ideal kit for a Gogo bar.
  20. During my recent trip to Pattaya I was really surprised to see a couple of prominent selling it. I had no intention of partaking - the last time I did so was a long time ago in Amsterdam and that was not a happy experience. I wonder if poppers are legal now in Thailand ?. I was also surprised to be offered a bottle to sniff during the later stages of a massage which I refused.
  21. Their Facebook account states open at 7 pm, but I never visited as early as that during my trip. You might well find boys sat outside at that time, but maybe the most attractive ones will turn up later.
  22. I never saw any of the items you mentioned at markets in Pattaya during my recent trip, but then I didn’t go looking for them. The dvd sellers who I remember on the Jomtien gay beach from 2 years plus ago we’re totally absent. I was offered poppers by one boy who I slept with for two nights.
  23. I visited Jomtien yesterday and spent a few hours at Dongtan beach in the area I knew in the past as the Gay Beach. It was a “memory lane” visit and I had thoughts in the morning about asking my overnight boyfriend to accompany me there, but he seemed lukewarm about the idea so I was there on my own. At about 2 pm the concessions were about on average 20% full with several having virtually no customers. I occupied a rather confortable sun lounger for which the price was 100 baht which included a towel. Several customers had their Asian boyfriends with them but mainly it was single guys like me. Sat in an adjoining concession was a hetro couple, but then the “invasion” of “our beach” had started years ago. I’m one for reminiscing these days and my mind went back to the early 2000’s when I used to to wear very brief speedos and splash about in the water with my “boyfriend du jour”. Such activity unfortunately is now just in my memory bank and those speedos do not fit with my current body shape. However the afternoon was pleasant enough sat there with a book looking out to sea and being served with a cold drink. On leaving at about 4.30 I decided to get some exercise by walking back to Pattaya continuing along the beach path until leaving that to walk up an ascending road until I reached Thrapaya Road for the remainder of the walk finishing rather tired and bedraggled. When asked by the boyfriend what I had done that day he was totally unimpressed by my walking exploits. Exercise does not seem to be something in the boys participate in, but their bodies are deliciously slim and lean (certainly the ones which attract me), particularly if they have recently arrived from the Isaan rice fields.
  24. Barry - that’s a really useful sticker. I’ve always found checking that boys will rim me and vice-versa especially over the telephone. I will be using it soon.
  25. This evening there was more of a party atmosphere in the Boyztown Soi with some rather tasty complementary food on offer outside the Ambiance. They have also re-installed the tables outside, but without service. I eat my free food there watching the gathering crowd in which everyone seemed to know everyone else. The ladyboys in Copa were in full voice with frequent piercing screech’s during the show, which seemed to be well attended. There did not seem to be many entering the Boyz Boyz show, with no Chinese ladies going in. Toy boys at the other end of the soi seemed completely lacking in customers. i did intended to visit Jomtien this evening but I have contracted a cold and have been avoiding alcohol and trying to get plenty of sleep. In fact I dosed off on the beach this afternoon after drinking a coconut (50 baht for a large one), where I went to read a Michael Connelly book. This morning I actually made contact with a boy from Grindr for a rather bland short time. I had virtually given up trying to understand that medium. I think there must be something wrong with my installation. I messaged a boy who replied, but when I asked him where he was , he stated “Koh Samui”. I had entered Pattaya in my parameters. ive had a wander down Walking Street where things are really humming. All the gogos seemed to have reopened with a lot of visitors in evidence from India and the Middle East. That might be the future for Pattaya with the West sliding into recession.
