Wagner paramilitary group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin trained Russian mercenaries to ‘murder children and women’ by throwing grenades through the windows of their homes in Ukraine.

Former prisoners from the Irkutsk region, Alexey Chernyavsky and Maxim Zelenov, fought in the Donetsk region after signing contracts with the PMC in November last year.

Like thousands of others, they were pardoned of their crimes by Vladimir Putin to be deployed to villages near the eastern city of Soledar for what they described as ‘cleansing’.

The ex-convicts recalled how the warlord personally taught his fighters how to kill ‘Wagner-style’ when invading.

STORY: The head of Russia's Wagner Group mercenary organization is, for the first time, publicly rejecting Moscow's official justification for the war in Ukraine, saying the reason for the invasion was based on lies...

... running directly counter to President Putin's own statements...

...And marking a new milestone in the months long feud between the Wagner founder, Yevgeny Prigozhin, and Russia's top military brass.

This is part of Prigozhin's video, which was posted on Telegram:

"Why was the war needed? The war was needed so that a handful of scumbags could have a blast and get PR attention showing how strong the army is."

"The war was needed not in order to return Russian citizens to our bosom. And not in order to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine. It was needed for one star with additional embroidery so that one mentally sick man could look good on a coffin pillow."

"Shoigu lives by the principle that 'a lie must be horrific for people to believe it'. That's when the lies come."

Prigozhin is referring to Russia's defense minister, Sergei Shoigu, a constant target of his criticism.

He's often accused Shoigu and other military leaders of incompetence, but rejecting the core reasons for the war is new for Prigozhin. He says Shoigu is deceiving President Putin, and that the war was also used to enrich the ruling elite.

Prigozhin also specifically uses the word "war" in the video, not the phrase "special military operation" used by the Kremlin.

Prigozhin has enjoyed unusual freedom in publicly criticizing Moscow, although not Putin himself, whom he relies on for support.

eating up since Aug. 6, the ongoing Valorant Champions tournament broadcasting in Los Angeles has seen finalist esports teams like Fnatic and LOUD step on the stage to compete for the world championship trophy.

After several matches in different brackets, the tourney is coming down to the wire with Paper Rex in the Grand Final.

But before the team landed their spot in the last match, their face-off with Evil Geniuses (EG) in the Upper Final stirred up a bit of drama. During the Valorant Champions match, Paper Rex was teabagging members of EG, which fans later learned that Riot Games sent them a warning for their actions.

Paper Rex receiving a warning for teabagging at ‘Valorant’ Champions sparks fan backlash.

Paper Rex had wanted to pay back EG for their boastful comments and attitude toward them and did so by teabagging. At the time, Paper Rex’s duelist, Something, stated during a post-match press conference that his team “did it for fun” and that “no emotions” were involved.

Another teammate, F0rsakeN, quickly added, “Actually, we got a warning for teabagging.”

Both teams were teabagging each other, so it’s unclear if EG also received a warning from Riot.

Alecks, Paper Rex’s coach, expressed he doesn’t “really like it when they teabag because they get carried away, and I usually tell them off in practice if they start doing this.” He continued, “But I guess because EG doesn’t mind, why not?”

Not only were the players teabagging, they were shooting the dead bodies of opponents, taunting each other with trash-talk, and waving at each other. Wild as it sounds, it isn’t uncommon for things to get messy during an esports match in the game or verbally between teams on stage.

Fans understand this, as noted by a Reddit thread reacting to the teabagging warning — some of which calling Riot “stupid and weak” for its response.

“You won’t build any rivalries if teams need to be robots and friends out there,” said one Redditor.

Another esports fan pointed out that it’s “kinda weird of Riot to feature EG trash-talking … in the teasers that they do then get mad at [Paper Rex] for doing it back.”

For the most part, fans believe both teams were simply competing, and a warning wasn’t necessary. Paper Rex ultimately bested EG, but the Riot warning may have conversely nipped at the wild energy some fans enjoy seeing for the rest of this Valorant Champions tournament.

  4. https://www.popsugar.com/beauty/sperm-facials-49258257

Once upon a time, Kim Kardashian told The New York Times that she would consider eating poop if it made her look younger — and it's still not the weirdest thing a celebrity has done in the name of anti-aging skin care. The latest celebrity skin treatment to enter the chat? Sperm facials, courtesy of Jennifer Aniston.

In a new interview with The Wall Street Journal, the "Friends" actor revealed that she underwent a salmon sperm facial at the recommendation of an aesthetician. "First of all, I said, 'Are you serious? How do you get salmon's sperm?'" Aniston told the publication. She added that she's not sure if she saw a difference after the treatment, which, for something that requires the extraction of a fish's reproductive cells, seems disappointing to say the least.

Though Aniston's sperm facial experience is currently causing a stir on social media, the treatment has been studied since the 1980s and is a steadily rising beauty trend in South Korea. As with most buzzy skin-care ingredients, the use of fish semen, or milt, claims to be a breakthrough anti-aging solution.

"When it comes to skin care, the quest for a holy grail ingredient will always continue," New York City-based dermatologist Joshua Zeichner, MD, tells POPSUGAR. "Salmon milt has been shown to improve skin, hydration, plumpness, texture, and wrinkles. The effects on the skin are thought to be due to high DNA levels. DNA is composed of amino acids, which have long been used in skin care for their hydrating and cell-renewing benefits."

The treatment is typically carried out via injections or microneedling in order to get the best results. "The advantages are countless," says celebrity aesthetician Ildi Pekar. "To ensure the serum penetrates deeper into the skin, we utilize a microneedling technique. This method amplifies the efficacy of the treatment, promoting healthier and more resilient skin."

  5. An American tourist filled up a fog machine with marijuana and blasted a street with smoke at a popular tourist destination in Thailand to promote his marijuana business back home, according to the Phuket Provincial Police.

The police outlined their accusations in a Facebook post on Monday. In the post, police said the man — who they identified as Angkhan Vorac Chhieng — used the fog machine along Bangla Walking Street in Potong Beach at 2:30 a.m. on August 18. The street in Patong — a beach resort town in Phuket — has been known for its nightlife for years, and has more recently become home to many cannabis dispensaries.

  8. An American tourist was rescued from the sewers in what's often referred to as Thailand's "Sin City," after being trapped for four hours.

Johnathan Vaimaona, 36, fell into an uncovered manhole in Pattaya, around 90 miles south of Bangkok, on Friday, per Newsflare.

As he was unable to climb back out, Vaimaona shouted out for help from the underground sewage system for what felt like days, Vaimaona told Newsflare.

The stranded tourist was rescued after security officer Chalee Boonsri, 26, heard his pleas. "I was on my way to a convenience store for a drink when I suddenly heard a foreigner shouting. I looked around but didn't see anyone there," said Boonsri per Newsflare.
Rescuers and residents helped lift the drain covers and pulled Vaimaona out of the hole said to be 10-feet deep. He was shirtless and covered in sludge, and said he could not recall much of anything besides falling into the uncovered manhole, per Newsflare.

"I come from Hawaii. I fell. I was in front of the hotel and then I just came up and I don't know where I'm at," said Vaimaona, after he was hosed down and given a drink, per Newsflare.

The American tourist was also unable to recall the name of the hotel where he had checked in with his girlfriend and could only describe it as the one "with the boats," per Newsflare.

The police, however, discovered inconsistencies with Vaimaona's statements through further investigation and verifying his entry documents. The man was said to be speaking in a confusing manner, per Newsflare.

Local authorities said that more thorough investigations into the incident will be conducted, per Newsflare.

Pattaya has been dubbed Thailand's "Sin City" as it's home to a vibrant nightlife and sex industry, though officials have been making efforts to eliminate prostitution from the city, per Bangkok Post.

Pattaya Walking Street is often referred to as the city's red-light district, a place filled with bright neon lights from the many bars and clubs that line the street.

Has anyone any memories of pre-a/c Bangkok? I shudder when I recall nights in West African hotels with only a fan...and sometimes not even that.

Not there before 1997, but brings to mind the smells that used to waft up from the sidewalk sewers of yesteryear with the temps…
