Saturday would be my last opportunity to visit a sauna in the evening as I would be leaving in the afternoon on Sunday.
I decided to go to 117 for my last night which turned out to be a good choice as I had a couple of sessions with two guys I had met earlier on the trip. A fun way to finish my sauna visits for this trip.
Sunday I visited the hippie market in Ipanema before heading to the airport in the afternoon. Catching a connecting flight to GRU and starting the long journey home.
The trip had been a great experience with the opportunity to meet some amazing guys.
I will get to do it all again in a months time.

Friday I went off to explore a little of Centro, I had never been to Confeitaria Colombo which was on my list of this to do.
Friday night was back to 117 with probably one of the best selection of guys during my visits. Big muscle was out tonight if that is what you are into with one massive guy. Plus a great choice of guys from twinks to boy next door types to athletic guys.
I had a great repeat session with my super pecs guy to start the evening.
My new Californian friend was back and we chatted some more.
I missed one handsome black guy I was hoping to meet he was heading out early, so waited to see if there was another guy who might catch my eye.
Sure enough a young tall Carioca guy came over and while he was super hung his kissing ability and long sexy legs closed the deal for some time in the cabin and he did not disappoint.
Not staying for the show I headed out for dinner at an Italian restaurant near to where I was staying.

After a day around the neighbourhood I headed out to 117 expecting a quiet night and it was.
While there were fewer customers and boys, there were some new face on this trip and a boy for most tastes I am guessing. Still an impressive choice
On arriving at 117 I was able to help a Californian visiting the place for the first time. It is easy to forget all the little things to make your visit go smoothly. He had got to the end of the corridor trying to get through the door immediately in front. It was easy to open the door to the right and get him inside. Simon was on the counter and able to explain in English how the place worked. He was then off to enjoy the place and I saw him later with a cute guy and helping the cowboy stripper with his Speedo’s. I think he had a good first night, and said he had two weeks ahead when asking me later about places to see
The guy I had missed the night before at 202 as he was leaving I was meeting tonight. I soon found him and we started with a drink. This guy stool out not only being young and handsome but with amazing pecs in proportion to his body. Plus his hands turned out to be magic at massage.
I stayed for the strippers as the cowboy guy was so hot. Then it was back to Leblon for my sushi fix.

On Wednesday I had arranged to meet a guy I have been following on IG. He would arrive early afternoon so plenty of time to have breakfast and sort myself out for the day.
May be known to others already, a couple of tips I meant to share as I have been using a MasterCard Debit Card. Firstly when asked by a cashier whether credit or debit always say credit or your payment is not processed. Bank Santander ATMs work for my card where as this is not the case in other banks I have tried to use.
IG guy arrived at my hotel spot on time and wow, he looked even hotter than in his photos. Only to say I enjoyed a great time with him. He was friendly, calm and very willing to show off his hard muscles. After working up an appetite we headed out for a late lunch before going our separate ways. Him to meet his friends on the beach at Ipanema. Me to relax before heading out to 202.
The day had already proved excellent so wondered how 202 on a Wednesday would hold up, being one of its regular busy nights after a quieter than expected Monday.
When I arrived at 202 it was like all had returned to normal in Rio, the place was busy and even better a great selection of guys from different backgrounds, from twinks to muscle.
I relaxed with a beer and took my time, may be too long. One guy I was interested in I caught as he was about to leave but will see him another day at 117. The show was coming and was beginning to think I had left it to late after seeing a number of guys leave for the night. Then suddenly a hot athletic tall 20 yo turns up. From my experience it is unusual but occasionally you get a hot guy turn up late into the evening. Anyhow we got chatting and it was not long before he was proving his kissing skills and I was holding his tight firm body. The time I had with him was amazing. Different to the time with IG guy earlier in the day but equally great.
What a fantastic day Wednesday had turned out to be, two amazing guys and experiences. My faith in Rio restored I finished my night and headed back to my hotel.

In the morning I went for a walk along the beach from Ipanema to Copacabana and enjoyed the day in the neighbourhood.
Late afternoon it was time to get ready and catch an Uber to 117, which went smoothly.
Arriving at 117 everything was familiar, no major changes. The evening was still early but I thought quiet for a Tuesday. Anyhow things soon got busy and the place was as packed as I remember, a good balance between customers and boys.
Initially many of the boys I had seen at 202 the night before, then a few different faces arrived, some familiar from previous visits. There was a good mix of guys from muscle to twink. I must be getting too picky as none stood out to me as must haves.
I hooked up with two boys one from 202 the previous night and a cute young muscle guy. Having a fun time with both.
I did not stay for the show and headed out for sushi in Leblon before calling it a night.

Monday is the day to fly up to Rio but first I wanted to get a local SIM sorted for my phone. Tracked down the local retailer for TIM, the network I had used before and headed off with my passport in hand. Even with the language barrier the guy could not have been more helpful. Even before I had a chance to try and explain what I wanted, seeing I was a visitor with a passport he knew what help I needed. Another customer helped with some English and it was not too long before I was going back to the hotel with a local SIM working in my phone.
For me another great example of a local making a visitor welcome and all in a friendly manner with a smile.
I was flying GOL today, my first time on this airline, between CGH and SDU. Gave myself plenty of time, Uber both ends, and with no rush everything went smoothly with an on time flight.
Heading to Ipanema was great to see Rio in the afternoon sun. My home for the next few days.
After arriving at the hotel headed out to a local cafe for coffee and snack to keep me going before heading back and getting ready for 202.
After my first two nights in SP and the excitement of being in Rio I guess my expectations were high.
while 202 was fine it was not busy and the selection of boys less than I expected. One of the guys explained it was quieter than a normal Monday due to another event in the city.
Anyhow I relaxed with a few beers and checked out the boys. None really my type so was going to pass and just put it down to a quiet night. Then one of the cute twink type of guys caught my eye, he was friendly approachable with a huge package which had my interest. He had been walking around working the bar and when he came over was friendly and touchy. Anyhow we got a cabin and he made me welcome to Rio.
Having stayed a while the stripper arrived, Gleyson Lopes who looked amazing in his gym wear so decided to stay for his show. Having enjoyed his performance I headed back to the hotel.
It had been a quieter night than I had expected, but all was good. I had been spoilt by Lagoa at the weekend and it was Monday night after all. I will be back on Wednesday but what will Tuesday at 117 be like.

Sunday was a relaxing day, taking it easy after all the travelling. The neighbourhood was mostly closed and quiet with just one or two shops open.
I met a young guy on Grindr for some midday fun. Was just as his photos when he arrived with an athletic body and a great kisser. Learn’t he had only been in SP for a short while and I was the second foreigner he was meeting.Late afternoon I headed to Lagoa, the place was busy when I arrived. Just like the previous evening except it was karaoke. The main bar area was packed, while the upper floors were quieter not due to be busier until later in the evening. The bar on the upper floor did not open until 18:00, and this area was generally a little quieter than the night before. Although I am enjoying this upper floor space to relax and escape the karaoke.
While keeping an eye out for my black athlete from the night before it was noticeable there were many more boys having arrived earlier. Same kind of selection of boys as Saturday just more of them.
A hot black muscular guy caught my eye, as expected he was working hard and in demand as he walked about with purpose so could not catch his eye.
In the meantime being only my second visit and having arrived earlier was able to figure the layout and different spaces across the floors. Good to know you can get from the bottom floor to the upper bar without having to go through the main bar. Plus get to pass-by more boys who are working to attract business.
The upper bar was open by now so hung out there with a beer for a while, until fortunately the previous hot guy came by and was able to chat with him. We fixed the deal and went to a cabin. An amazing experience, his body was so hard and a deep kisser. This is why I had missed Brazil so much. The guy knew his business and you could see why he was in demand.
The place was certainly just as busy as Saturday, then the athlete from the night before arrived and had time with him. Guess knowing me from our previous session he was much more relaxed this time and the time was fun and easy.
I decided to hang around a while longer. Looks like they will still look after your suitcase if your flying later that night as saw a customer grab his bag from the office before heading out.
Even when I decided to call it a night, while there were boys leaving noticed still one or two hot arrivals. Guess the place was going to be busy for a while.
Lagoa was a great start to my trip, and good to know it was busy with a great selection of guys. Can’t wait to visit again.

My plane arrived on time and was quickly through the airport and on my way to the hotel. It was already evening time so had a shower and got ready to take another Uber to Lagoa. I was concerned I would have missed most of the boys but I guess being Saturday night the place was packed. Not a spare seat to be had in the main bar. I got myself a drink to check out the boys.
This was my first time at the new location and had read much of the previous feedback. Agree it does not have the openness of the previous location. However, the building fitout is modern and smart and I liked the different spaces on the different levels. Same warm welcome and easy to work things out.
Not sure how many boys I had missed, but there was still a variety of handsome guys. No big huge muscle guys, but many athletic guys and a few twinks. Many had been taken by customers at the bar but still a few working the place looking for customers.
My eyes had caught a handsome muscular athletic black guy when I arrived and I found him again in the training space. We got a room and had a great time. So great to be back in Brazil. I had some drinks and some time with a more twinky Rio boy.
Being the first time to that neighbourhood going back to hotel there were so many bars and people out having a good time on a Saturday night.
Plan one more visit before heading to Rio.

On my flight to SP. First time back to Brazil since new year of 2020. Plan is to go to Lagoa tonight. Will be my first time to the new location.
Looking forward to a couple of days in SP then the rest of the trip in RJ.

The few times I visited Rio, I booked any Airbnb well located and on my price range (my wallet is thin). I never had any issues bringing guys to my place, often more than one. I would advise you to book any property you like, and you will be fine. I stayed twice in Copacabana and once at Recreio dos Bandeirantes.

Appreciate you sharing your experience and advice. Will be visiting the saunas but want to have the option to bring a guy back. Thank you.

Day Seven
After breakfast is was on my way to Centro. I was going to primarily see Eacadaria Selaron and Theatro Municipal. Along the way I got to see a little of Lapa, the Carioca Aqueduct and the architecture of Centro.
The rain how now basically gone so it is beautiful sunshine days with crazy humidity I was impressed by Centro, appreciate there are many areas but the historic buildings where grand, alongside modern architecture, together with wide streets and small back lanes.
It was Tuesday so could only mean Club 117. Rodolfo was visiting again. The number of boys was impressive and many customers Strange but could not really see the right guy for me. Just when I was thinking about leaving Luciano who I had met in Lago earlier in the year arrived, so it was easy to have a session with this tall muscular man
Dinner was at Sushi Leblon which I enjoy, my first time back since the refurbishment. Still a cool place, great food and I always get a friendly welcome

Day Six
The first working day of the year I guess and the streets had a different feel as I made my way to breakfast. People going to work and school and about their business in amongst the tourists.
It is the first real day with blue skies. Up until now it has been warm but cloudy and rainy, with the occasional storm. Was great to see the famous beach and skyline in Ipanema.
Today was Point 202 and I arrived about 16:30. Lots of amazing guys already arrived and many customers. I met up with the young guy I had met on Saturday and we had another good session together. He was more relaxed this time. By the time I said goodbye to him the place was packed. Being a Monday a few of the big muscle guys had turned up so you were really spoilt for choice in boys all the way through to twinks. The place had a good feeling and the music variety was even a little better.
The wait for rooms had become quiet long, so while there was plenty of guys I would have chosen I passed as having had a good session earlier. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Rodolfo was even in town visiting from Lagoa I guess. Then I called it a night.

Day Five
Up early today and out to breakfast. Then one of my favourite things to do is visit the Feira de Arte de Ipanema more commonly know as the Hippie Fair which was as big as ever.
Followed by a late lunch, that was going to be it for me today and I relaxed not doing much else.

Day Four
Up and out to breakfast earlier at Apetite Cafe. Much easier to get a table. Then spent the morning walking around the Botanical Gardens which I enjoyed even with the light rain before heading to Shopping Leblon.
My plan for the evening was to see if I could meet the cute twink I missed out on on my first night at Point 202. Needless to say he was no were to be seen although his equally twinky buddy was there.
Eyed an amazing handsome young black guy with incredible abs and sexy body. (Definitely in to black guys more this trip.) Only he was more shy than me so with the language barrier it took a while to connect but I made it happen. Learned he was a footballer hence the body and it was his first night working at a sauna which explained everything. A guy as handsome as he is normally has an air of confidence, something which I am sure will come in time. I had a great evening with him and he revealed his killer smile. Looking forward to seeing him again on Monday.

Day Three
My first visit to Lions Club Rio and it was their six month anniversary party. I arrived about 17:30 and it was a little quiet. Just one or two customers and a few boys. I figured out the location of everything and went and sat in the bar. Slowly everything came to life with the arrival of boys and customers. I was not sure what to expect given some previous reviews and while it might have been a special party the atmosphere was great. Good music, lighting and friendly bar staff. Many boys and customers all having a fun time. No muscle boys but plenty of good looking young guys and twinks. Plus the most amazing butts I have seen on a set of boys and they were happy showing them off.
I went with a young tall black guy and again had an amazing time. He was relaxed not in a rush always a big smile and a great kisser.Based on the number of customer, boys and quality of boys on this sample of one night then Lions Club Rio will be a success. It certainly appears to have established itself.
The only downside is the location, while close to Club 117 the streets are much darker and quieter at night, and I certainly did not waste any time getting an Uber.- tassojunior, Riobard, Latbear4blk and 1 other

Day Two
Had a lazy morning before going out to a late breakfast at Apetite Cafe. Was busy even late morning. Followed by a walk along the beach at Ipanema, starting at Copacabana. There was a light drizzle in the air but that was not stopping everyone enjoying themselves. Plus lots of great eye candy including an incredible young runner who I caught up with to see again at the outside gym on the beach front.
Headed back to the AirBnB as jet lag was hitting me so I would be fresh for the evening. Tonight was going to be Club 117. As I got the Uber it was still light drizzle and got there about 18:00. Quite a few boys and customers already there so the rain was not putting people off. Grabbing a beer I observed the boys arriving. The big muscle guys were there plus younger athletic ones, something for everyone.
A familiar face from Barcelona came over and said hi. Sylvia a Brazilian has been back in Rio since September which is why I had missed him in October. The guy is incredible with amazing hard muscles beautiful skin and so handsome plus a great personality. I had an amazing session with Sylvia, everything you travel to Rio for.
While showering and returning to the locker room I noticed the drizzle had turned into a storm. The rain was so heavy. Anyhow the balance of customers now far outweighed the number of boys most of whom seamed to be doing good business.
I hung around and had another session with John an athletic young guy from Salvador who was an amazing kisser.
After noticing the rain had stopped, I headed out for dinner in Ipanema then a drink at TV Bar (which was packed) before calling it a night.- TotallyOz, pauleiro and Latbear4blk

My flight touched down in Rio on time in the afternoon. All went smoothly and was quickly on my way in an Uber to Ipanema to a simple AirBnB.
Wasted no time in getting to Pointe 202 where there was already a reasonable numbers of boys and customers. All the staff were welcoming most with a smile and got a beer to relax and check out the scene.
A good selection of boys from twinks to muscle, even though I thought it might be quiet after NY celebrations. I spotted an athletic young guy but he was busy and continued to be busy all night. I went with a young black guy and had an amazing session. What a welcome to the city. Will hopefully see him again over the next few days.
Came back to the bar in the hope of seeing the young twink but you no avail. He was working hard with his regulars I guess. The jet lag was starting to set in so headed out for dinner and bed. Trust I will get to see him another night.
Been looking forward to this trip for a while as my last couple of times to Brazil have been to São Paulo and I have been missing Rio.

Just returned from my first visit to Barcelona a quick weekend trip. A wonderful city although I have just scratched the surface.
I visited Sauna Thermas everyday. Thank you to all the earlier posts which are a great help.
From my own experience I would say the staff are very friendly and helpful. (I do not speak Spanish.) The place is well run and clean.
A great selection of boys. Something for everyone. All the boys I met where friendly. Yes some will approach you with more enthusiasm than others but none were rude and a polite no always worked.
I have a wide taste in guys and met a few different types over the weekend.
1. Brazilian - European - Muscle
2. Ghana - Black - Twink
3. Columbian - Black - Muscle
4. Polish - White - Athletic
5. Mali - Black - Tall Twink
6. Brazilian - Latin - Twink
7. Polish - Blond - Muscle
8. Polish - White - Athletic
9. Brazilian - Latin - Tall twink
All agreed to EUR 50.
I look forward to returning, but São Paulo and Rio are next week.

Hello, Based on my first experience visiting Rio and subsequent visits then you will be safe and everything will be ok.
Like you I do not speak Portuguese, but if you take advantage of the information on this forum I am sure you will be fine. Plus you have the advantage of having visited Rio before.
The best tip you will see mentioned here is take your time when you arrive at the sauna. Figure out the layout of the sauna, relax , get a drink and observe the guys. Don’t go for the first guy who approaches you.
When you get to see the guys available then you can decide who you want to go with. May well be the first guy who approached you but you are then making an informed decision.
Have an amazing time. Let the forum know how you get on. Know I am looking forward to a visit later in the year.
