Terry, I await others who live there and have more pertinent intel to fill in. But: 1. The Thai economy is going fairly well. It is, I believe, getting harder to recruit Thai workers. Sort of like the situation in the US. The actual truth is Latin American immigrants do work others don't. Laos and Cambodia are much poorer. 2. This one threw me. "If they are willing to risk foreign boys, then why not have African or Filipino which im sure would be more popular than Cambodian." REALLY? Do you think I fly to Thailand from South Florida ( about 30 hours door to door ) for African types? We could all go to Manila if we wanted. I go to Thailand because of the availability of Asian boys - Many here adore Cambodians. Personally, I fall for the Vietnamese head over heals. In all deference and politeness, everyone has their own type and I never make comments. But this took my breath away coming on THIS board.

Again, it is just affirmation that "twink" is a body type and not an indication of sexual orientation. In a long life devoted to the relentless pursuit of twinks, I have never found a correlation between body type and sexual preference.

In all fairness, I think you're missing my point. Even a vigorously defended opinion is not a personal attack. You have a right to your opinion. But, you are not your opinion. All I read was a firm disagreement. No disparagement of the person was even hinted at. After all, it boils down to tipping in a manner that conforms to the society and venue that you are in. Yet we have gone on for 8 pages. It's really quite amazing.

Correcting what has been said is not a personal attack. Yes, we - each of us - own our opinions but refuting them is not an attack on the owner only a disagreement of the opinion.

Agreed. In general, I loathe tattoos, but Thailand has mage me blind to them. I do question one remark; however, I've never understood the separation of "straight" and "twink". To me, "twink" has always been a slender body type and has nothing to do with sexual orientation. I love twinks and dislike fems.

Your right of course. As I was reading your post it occurred to me that by dismissing Sunee I was violating my own rule. For me, rule number 1 is don't ever follow anyone's advice about what the boys look like. I posted, recently, about a thread describing visits to Moonlight. The poster went on about the beauty of the models, the overwhelming sexiness of the videos posted on Facebook, etc. He posted a shot of the models and identified his favorites. I would not have taken any of them for free. There was one gay, ignored by the poster, who I think is gorgeous. My point is yours I think - go and see for yourself.

Gentleman. I never allow displays of "lust": outside the confines of my bedroom. This is the very reason I have never visited the bars of Sunee - I have no desire to be part of this. Also, I know the law only applies to Muslims; however, when I say people like me I mean Gay people. Remember - if we tolerate such egregious violations of human rights then we are party to the abuse. I make no cause that others should not travel there, only that I will stay away.

I completely agree. It is not only a consideration of safety but one of spending my gay dollars in a nation where people like me are in danger. The amount of tourist dollars earned by a nation is not insignificant- it is a source of hard currency. I spend my money were my gay brothers and I are left unharmed. It doesn't have to be a sex vacation just don't cane me if I kiss a consenting guy of legal age.
