Guys Sinovac vaccine is effective ... after two shots I had very high level of antibodies ... also please keep in mind inactivated virus vaccines logically is more protective for the variants than the other vaccines ... with less side effects than mRNA vaccines ... Btw I am not Chinese

The trial would no longer be blind if they do antibody tests and share results. However, it's a good way to go if you want a holiday in Brazil.
Also AFAIK, there is no evidence that vaccines eliminate transmission of covid. In the absence of such evidence, why would Thailand relax entry rules ?
Trial is not blind anymore ( %91.5 protection rate in our trial ) I agree no evidence yet that vaccines can eliminate transmission of covid as it is early for such a data . Even if the transmission is possible there will probably be less transmission by a vaccinated person than an unvaccinated person who carries the virus . But what we know for sure vaccines will protect you for a certain period from getting sick if your body develops enough antibodies

I participated in the Sinovac vaccine trial , 6 weeks ago first shot 4 weeks ago second shot , I was wondering if I was in the real vaccine arm or placebo arm , as I had no complaints after the shots I thought I had placebo . Last week after antibody testing I got the good news , test showed I have plenty of antibodies against Covid . To celebrate this very good news I decided to visit Brazil in February . Pity the Rio Carnaval was postponed to July . Hope Thailand announces soon no quarantine for the vaccinated visitors .

Turkish Ministry of Health announced that they will start vaccination of 25 million people with Sinovac vaccine ( deactivated covid 19 vaccine from China , storage 2 to 8 C ) from mid December 2020 to March 2021 . From April on a Turkish vaccine will be on stage for the rest of the population .

Look at the news from Australia , Serbia , Spain and Belgium , number of new cases increasing rapidly again . In the USA 60-70 K new cases every day . Numbers in the Central and Latin American countries are skyrocketing . Far East Asian contries surprisingly did a very god job to control the spread of the disease until now , but the numbers in the Philippines and Indonesia even in Malaysia seem to be increasing faster than before . Flu season starts in September for Northern hemisphere . So unfortunately I am not expecting so many changes for this winter ... We probably will continue to live in our new normal way until an effective vaccine is available . Hope I am wrong and you can have a safe trip to Bali and Bangkok in December .

Hi Peggy , other than the hotels which are already mentioned above I recommend East Suites in Jomtien , located just across the Thai Blind Massage Institute . Nice rooms with very reasonable rates . Usually fully booked before the pandemic , best to check in advance . Enjoy your time in Pattaya .

I paid the ticket with my credit card . Most probably the difference might be due to my boys many previous international visits . He likes to travel and already visited some countries . So no reason for the customs officers to get suspicious of the risks mentiond by Vinapu such as human trafficking .

But it is not unusual for it to happen. I first encountered this when I invited a Filipino Friend to fly to Bangkok to meet me. I had already flown to BBK. On the day he was to come I got a call from him. He was there in Manila and had been denied boarding on the flight to BKK by Immigration. He had his RT Ticket, Money, and information on the Hotel in BKK. I asked to speak to the Immigration Agent and my friend told me she would not speak to me. SO, he missed the flight, was stuck there in Manila for the night, and had to buy a new ticket to return to his home City. I was pissed and lost probably USD300. So I learned my lesson! For the next three guys I met them in the PH and accompanied them on the trip. Once to Hong Kong, once was to BKK, and the last to Bali. Had the same difficulty each time but convinced Immigration to allow them to travel.
I have another Friend who was to meet a man in BKK. Not me. And he was traveling from the PH alone and also denied boarding. He had worked overseas in Saudi Arabia twice and returned both times. Another time he had no problem flying to BKK by himself. Just does not make any sense.
Just be warned. Better to meet your guy in the PH and fly with him!!!
Highly difficult to understand the reason for not letting the boys to fly although they have the return tickets and international accomodation approval . I invited my Pinoy boy two times , to Bali once and Kuala Lumpur once , in both of the trips he did not face any problems .
