Gwydion62 got a reaction from Vessey in Sunee Plaza
Realised I should have posted my previous comments here and not in Sunee thread.

I paid a brief return visit to Sunee last night. A few of the beer bars had several customers, though others were empty.
I only went in Winner Bar. I arrived about 11 and I was the only customer - the boys scurried in from outside when I entered. 3 more customers arrived while I was there.

I know everyone's tastes varies, but the standard of boys seemed at least as good as bars in Boyztown. Mainly twink, twink+ types not rugged & muscular (which I don't like in any case). None of the lads really grabbed my attention though.
(Vessey - no sign of Nam on either visit)

I assumed the beer was cheap on my first visit as I was early but still cheap at 11. Must be a low season permanent 'happy hour'.

Took my life in my hands walking along Soi VC to songthaew as many Arabs racing bikes up and down the Soi.

Decamped to Jomtien Complex - which I do prefer.

I may be in the minority here, but despite assurances from the powers that be in Pattaya that there are no prostitutes in that squeaky clean city, I don't believe them! Sorry, but I don't.

So if they succeeded in making Pattaya a family -friendly place, wouldn't the prostitutes just pack up en masse and go somewhere else?

What are the authorities going to do? Chase them from city to city?

I think that if a bar like, say, Goodboys were to open in Jomtien, that could be the catalyst for others to follow suit. We could then have one exclusively gay area in a well-defined part of town, easy to find and easy to get to. Boyztown can then just be a tourist attraction for the Chinese.

BTW, If you don't like the tour groups gawking at you as they shuffle past, take out your phone and pretend you are taking a video of them. It's hilarious watching them hide their faces as they scurry down the soi. Works every time!

The Agate is the pin on the map (which I've drawn over!).
The turquoise line is where the long line of bars are. Laid back, nice atmosphere, just walk along until you see a bar you want to sit at. It's low Season so you may get dragged in to some of them as there may not be many customers. The green line shows the continuation of the complex and there are some bars, massages, etc there.

In Boyztown in Pattaya there are several go gos. Overall, I thought they were disappointing last trip. Probably Cupidol had the best choice of 'twink' though things can change quickly.

I don't eat a lot of Thai food now but I've marked some general restaurants. All of these will do some Thai food.
    1. Sandbar as has been mentioned.
    2. Olala - breakfast, European dishes, Thai dishes.
    3. La Bocca - good, if expensive, Italian. Always has freshly caught fish & sometimes other seafood as well as excellent pasta and cannoli to die for.
    4. Continental Bakery - wide range of breakfasts and excellent bread.
    5. Akvavit - somewhat expensive Scandinavian restaurant. Buffet weekend afternoons.
    6. Simon's Fish & Chips - not only very good British style fish, chips & mushy peas (have the cod NOT the local fish) but also some decent Thai food.
    7. Pig & Whistle - British pub. OK food including quite decent Thai items.

You should see the small blue icon towards the top of the map which shows FoodMart. 24 hour supermarket with wide range of western food items, at a price, and a reasonable range of wine.

The red circle is roughly where the Night market is. Starts up from about 5 or 6. Lots of food stalls.

There are a couple of restaurants within the complex that may be worth trying. Poseidon also sells decent wine from the restaurant. On the corner of the main road as you leave the bars there's a cheap Thai open air restaurant popular with some locals. I'm not a fan but up to you.

    Have a great trip.

There's likely to be some construction either at airport or en route to Pattaya for a long time.
They're meant to be extending Swampy, making the 'Chonburi corridor' a special investment zone, extending U-Tapao, building a new railway, upgrading the roads, building another underpass on Sukhumvit near Pattaya once they finally finish the first one etc etc.

There's a 'minimum character' threshold before a post shows in your count so you are wasting your time.

As for the change, as I said earlier, Admin/Mods can set things up as they see fit then members can decide whether to continue on the forum. No problems.

It's just a shame that one extremely awkward, seemingly unpleasant, member having a hissy-fit can make changes necessary.

Well hopefully with this issue being put to rest, everyone can move on. But I would like to close with just a few points:

    1) Obviously, Admin/mods are fully within their right to set whatever limitations or parameters on the forums as they see fit. No disagreement here.

    2) That said, I do think it was a bit of a solution in search of a problem. Beyond that, no protest from me.

    3) For those members whose experience of the forum who will be adversely effect by the change the admin has implemented, I apologize.

    4) Frankly, I think this notion of using photos "without permission" is a bit of a crock. I have seen hundreds and hundreds of photos on this site, and it would be absurd to assume that even a fraction of the posts were done by people who had "permission" (in any sense that the word means) to distribute and publish those pictures. If someone sends you a photo via a messaging or other internet app that they have taken themselves, then that photo for all intents and purposes does belong to you. In fact, the exact same photos of the boy in question were posted on the "Model Photoshoots" months ago without issue.

    5) I was well aware when I made each of the posts over the past couple of weeks that they were a bit on the edge of what certain members would consider in good taste. Not wanting to see the forum descend into a parade of soft and hard corn pornography is a legitimate concern. I received some positive feedback after the first couple, including through DM, and decided that it might be a little thing to keep going. Seeing what he descended to proved me very wrong.

    6) As I said before, the whole point of the posts was for members to read and maybe get a bit titillated by. I did genuinely feel bad that the pics of one of the guys got back to him and caused him any problem.

    7) As for samebb and his contention that, "Just because a THAI boy has facebook or grindr, doesn't mean he is a money boy." Well, that is certainly true. But as for your "friend," perhaps you are not as familiar with him as you seem to believe. He, in fact, has been a money boy, and I have known him for several years, including when I first met him at a bar in sunnee plaza.

Nonetheless, I am perfectly content with foregoing making anymore posts in that style and henceforth will not. We can legitimately disagree on the content and the tone, but I could do without some of the overwrought hyperventilating by certain members here.

Samebb clearly in love with his "friends" and how he behaves defending them akin to a lover defend his lover from being hurt. But no reason to resorts to name calling and end up hurting other people here who also have "friends" that might do the same.

    Yes, that's him.
Took another X-boys lad that I'd been chatting to for a couple of nights when 'Sky' was off work. Sorry I didn't take Nam instead but try to avoid too much conflict/hassle within bars :-) Other lad pretty desperate to be BFined - as were a few others.
Near the end of my trip by then.

Guess I'll need to pay Sunee a visit in July. Never actually been there!

As you walk from the main road past the bars, with the Venue down the bottom on the right, the massage place would face you as you got to the corner. Sorry, can't remember much about it. Could even have been a 'high season only' place?

From memory, I noticed 5 massage places in Jomtien Complex during my last visit - not counting the Blind Massage.
I didn't get around to trying any of them but was wondering if anyone has any reviews/recommendations.
They were roughly where I've numbered the map.
I think number 4 was called 'Blue Angel' or something similar but don't recall the other names.

I've tried them all, apart from number 5 which I've not noticed - perhaps it's new since my last visit in October last year?

The best experience of the ones you list was at #4. Good rooms (I think it was formerly a small hotel) and all performed naked and enthusiastically.

I went for a foot massage at #3. Guy spent the whole time trying to persuade me to go into the back room. I finally caved in and ended up with a bit of body to body time.

The others were distinctly average. The main thing is that there's rarely anyone I find personally attractive sitting outside.

The best experience, though, was with a Cambodian lad at QM bar (not listed in your map).

Have only been here in Jomtien Complex for two days, but have had an opportunity to try some massage.
Your map is accurate.  Here are most of the names.

    #1 - Sa Bai Thong
    #2 - Soda
    #3 - Fah
    #4 - Blue Angel
#5 -?? (Didnt see sign in English)

They all seem to have oil and most other massages for 300 per hour.  Thai massage is 200.

I tried oil massage at Fah and had a masseur named Men. The facilities were small and basic.  Looked like 3 curtained off areas up front and a room with a lockable door and shower in the back which I was in.  Not particularly clean.  But table was sturdy and coverings seemed clean.  Men gave an excellent massage with medium pressure which I requested. Very therapeutic and also very sensual.  When I turned over I could see that he was dressed in short loose trunks and he did not mind mutual touch.  Actually he got quite excited.  However he never got too close... Only one HE.  Not sure he would offer more if negotiated or on subsequent visits?  Gave him 500 and massage was 300. Offered a shower at the end, but gave it a pass.  Very enjoyable hour.  Will definitely try to see Men again.  Well worth just for the therapeutic treatment.

Next day massage at Soda.  Didn't get the name of the masseur.  This is a much bigger facility with more decoration. Curtained off cubicles in front and than more around the corner.  Looked fairly clean.  I was in a cubicle around the corner.  Received an adequate massage and upon turning over again he was in loose shorts which quickly disappeared. Mutual HE.  Again not much more interaction.  Gave him 300 and massage was 300.  It was ok experience.

Of course in any massage place the experience will depend greatly on the masseur.  And as I did not request more interaction since I did not know if that would be appropriate, I just went with the flow.

Look forward to trying out more of these places later in the month when I return.

Would be nice to hear of more personal experiences in these places.  For me this is much less hit or miss than boy bar and certainly less expensive.
