Not only the location is superb the hotel itself too. Same as you never booked this hotel although I wanted to because of their unfriendly visitors policy.

Before they had very restricted policy on visitors a guard near the elevator prevented visitors to enter .

I agree with ChristianPFC in Thailand you can get by with some basic English with locals but in Colombia I felt like an alien English is almost non existent.

It's a good idea to visit places out of the touristic corny track and see the real Thailand.

Maybe they should rename Penthouse room to Peekaboo room.lol.

Some years ago I considered booking their Penthouse room but the shared terrace completely put me off , Every guest might stroll near my room is making it no privacy at all.

Everyone can do with their money whatever they want, however you are right Thailand become very expensive for the same service you pay between third to half price in South America compared to Thailand and the boys there are very attractive this is why I put Thailand on hold and focusing in South America nowadays. Thailand has other advantages : 1.accommodation and food is cheaper. 2.More easy to find boys and bring them to your room. 3.It's much safer country.

I was in Colombia last year many ATMs wouldn't let me withdraw if I didn't confirm to accept their conversation so I had been forced to confirm , luckily theirs rate were almost the same to my local bank.

Money boys are like telemarketing salesmen after dozens calls finally one agreed to close a deal , they are trying their luck with all their encounters, However money boys are human beings and sometimes they have genuine troubles and sending little amounts from us is a big help them. I am willing to justify requests for financial support from a boy who had been with me long time and developed more than short time sex but a requests from boys that barely been with us one time for very short time seems to me rude behavior.

Don't be surprised when you come back home endless requests for money and tragic stories will follow from the guy.

Yes I agree with you formal documents with rates and services might cause problems with authorities it will become obvious they are selicating sex services. It's a good idea but can't be practice in a country where prostitustion isn't legal and from the government point of you isn't exist at all in Thailand (lol).

I suspect it's a corruption practice , the ones who are willing to buy privately on high costs receive water all the rest remain with nothing.

It's a little bit different than that , Thai thinking is not the same as ours. when the mamasan say 'straight' usually mean the guy is a top and wouldn't bottom, he might be straight/gay/bi but for the mamsan point of view it's not relevant. Mamasan usually won't lie and tell you the guy is bottom when he's top only because it might cause a problem between client and the guy offed and would ending by sending him back to the bar without paying .

I am not a fan of massage parlors did it only twice , I just went straight to the guy I wanted and asked him specifically if he is available paid and went to the room with him . Didn't faced any problem .

You should make sure to receive the guy who caught your interest before paying.

The contribution of Chinese organized groups are questionable they come with fix price pre paid tour packages on a very tight budget ,spend at the local businesses almost nothing and stay short time in Thailand.

Probably he knows his limits unable to speak English and limited conversational skills he can't ask for 5k baht tip from his clients.

I suggest before entering to the taxi to make it clear with the driver to use the Metter, Anyway even with a Metter on if the driver wants to cheat you he'll do it,I remember one time driving to my hotel in silom suddenly the driver took the wrong turn I told him it's the wrong way but he ignored that caused a delay of almost twenty minutes and extra 200 Bht to the normal fare to Silom.

Very strange but the idea of dragging a suitcase in a train and BTS after 11 hours flight isn't appealing to me...
