I'm from the US and when I arrived on the 9th of October I was given until the 7th of November. I did not apply in advance for a visa.
You entered on Visa Exempt which allows 30 days with no Visa. This can be extended by another 30 days once in Thailand.

I have a friend who also uses a re-mailer service. This service scans his unopened mail and sends him a list of what he received. He then can ask that specific mail be opened and contents emailed to him or if necessary they will forward the mail to him. One drawback is his voting address will be in the State where the re-mailer is located. As I understand, you must setup the account with the remailer before you exit the USA.

Yes, I'm sure. I maintain a postal address in USA as do many of my friends and no problems.

You should be able to get all relevant info (W-2s) via electronic mail from Social Security, Pensions, etc, etc. You can tax return electronically. It would be best to maintain a Postal Address in USA with someone you can trust if possilbe. There are mail forwarding services available in USA who can receive your mail and electronically forward any relevant mail to you and can even mail packages to you if required. You should do this prior to leaving for Thailand.

With respect this was only correct for the much older black-and-white movies. Most movies thereafter required several reels of film. The average length of a 24 frames per second reel with sound is only 11 minutes. So each reel has a sound built-in to give the projectionist the cue to be ready to start the next reel. In older movies, even into the 1970s, you can often seen the flash of a white cross in a circle at the top right of the screen - another cue that the reel is about to change.
Touche'! I stand corrected. 🤔 -
I believe that the long cinemas originally had intermissions so the film reels could be switched. Since the 2000s there was a switch to digital projectors which obviated the need for films.
-
Another popular, long cinema was Gone With The Wind at 3 hrs. 40 minutes plus a 13+ minute break, overture. And another Civil War cinema, Gettysburg, at 4 hrs. 14 minutes.

Moreschi was in his mid-40s when that recording was made and he was apparently petrified about the whole business of recording. He was probably never a more than an average singer and that recording is of interest merely because it highlights what a castrato sounded like virtually at the end of his career. It lacks the warmth, depth, fullness and beauty of a true castrato in his prime. As an historical record, though, it is fascinating.
Sadly there are no recordings of a true castrato other than Moreschi.

Here is an actual recording of a castrato, Alessandro Moreschi sings Ave Maria. 1904.

I was looking for info on Soda Massage and came across this topic. Someone claimed he had a full body massage at Soda most recently and paid 200 Baht to the House and gave the boy 100 Baht and said the boy wanted him to return. Maybe for a foot massage but how could that be possible for a full body massage? Maybe no Happy Ending??

The only friends I have here in Pattaya are gay friends; I would be lost without them! And we are concerned about one another.

It is not just Yellow Bank that uses the DCC tactic but many other banks. I am not sure how to find the banks that don't use it?

Which Thailand atm allows the most withdrawal in one transaction?
There a couple of them but the Yellow Bank Krung Sri offers 30,000 Baht withdrawals. You can do a Google Search for others.

On a visit to Winner Bar a day or so ago, while sitting outside waiting for a friend, #38 asked me for a drink which I agreed to. I have seen him many times I never did chat with him but found he spoke well and was quite interesting. Then inside the bar I asked the lad with the blue bikini and tattoo on his chest to sit with me. He also was interesting to chat with and discovered he was born in 2000 the year that I first visited Pattaya. Not sure why I never asked either of them to sit with me in the past but will in the future. Very friendly!

To me the answer is very simple: If you need the money or your health is bad, take your pension as soon as you can. If you don't need the money today, put it off as long as you can on the chance that you will live into your 80s or longer. Then you'll be glad you didn't tap it earlier as the amount will be substantially more and every COLA increase after that will be based on the higher amount.
Normally true, except if your governor in USA freezes all COLA increases for State Workers as was done by Governor Chris Christie in NJ. Yes, Chris Christie who is running for President.
