Bit off topic and not immigration but I like going to the museums during the quiet days and most of them are free for 60 year olds and over, just need to produce proof of age (photo of passport is ok), others may just reduce price from 200 baht to 50 baht.

If you want to take in some Thai culture check out Siam Niramit in Bangkok, if it's open you can book from any of the tour operators or travel agents in Bangkok, full ticket usually has transport and banquet meal as well as the show. Well worth it if it's still open. I know this one can be a tourist trap but I also like Asiatique, bit of a market and some real nice restaurants there.

You can try the 2 Kings bars on Patpong 1 and also Black Pagoda on Patpong 2, also over Sukhumvit way there is Nana Plaza (there were a few ladyboy bars there at one time, never know he may be curious to see them. Bar staff I've spoken to in the past have mentioned the resons they won't go with some people and the two major reasons were cheapness (as mentioned above multiple clients for the price of one) and hygene, there are some seriously bad body odours (and real bad breath) out there and I can't blame them from not wanting to experience it. Hell, it's bad enough on the BTS at times let alone having to spend time with the bad odour, from experience there have been times I got off the BTS when the odours were so bad. For some I think it's their diet that causes it but some others I think it simply a case of not using soap.

That's good, now I wish they would update their schedules and fares from Perth to Bangkok beyond the 3 months at a time they do now. I would love to check fares and book a trip for next year but the schedules for the Perth route on their website are only updated every 3 months and the next update is November but I want to check March onward. Singapore airlines may come into play if they don't.

I know I lead a boring life (well some may think so) but I am happy with that, before the pandemic I travelled once a year mostly to Thailand but have been many times to the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia and Singapore. Unless something else untoward occurs I shall restart my travelling next year, starting with my Thailand lost time catch up trip but I have plans to return to the other above mentioned countries at some stage. In the mean time I shall plod along with my boring but happy life😁

I can't stand reality tv shows and truly hate the way the networks here in Australia are flooding the airwaves with so much of it, the worst by far are those pathetic looking for love shows (Farmer wants a wife, The Real Love boat, The Bachelor etc etc... more like pathetic losers). As for my favourites, wow so many to choose from, MASH, Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister, the earlier series of The Bill were good but I went off it towards the end when they started replacing the old characters and numerous cops turned crooks. Adding to the list, New Tricks, Wire in the blood, Blackadder, Mr Bean, I could name a lot more but too many to pick just a single favourite. Does anyone know anything about Tarntawan Apartments ? Their website is still up but when I click on Reservations it comes up as invalid request and they aren't answering emails, just wondering if it's still open for business or temporarily closed or just closed down? I was going to refer them to a friend that's heading to Bangkok next year for 3 months.
