Amazed by the Prejudicial Comments in Multiple Threads

Recommended Posts

I found the easiest thing to do is just put the poster who puts up pictures you have no interest in on ignore.  I might miss out on some of their discussions, but I found checking pics is much more enjoyable when it's pics of guys I like 100% of the time!

I'm the opposite.  I love seeing everyone's pics and I love the fact that they take time to share with us.  If you put on ignore every person who posts pics of someone you don't find attractive, I hope you take this to the next level and refuse yourself entry to every gogo bar you enter that has a person you don't find attractive.

LAguy is on the money. I only have two posters 'on ignore' and can enjoy all the others posters pix.

Few of us are as open to all types and all kinds as Michael. I imagine bi sexuals must have a wide range and

one farang friend in Bangkok likes boys, ladyboys and women.

I lost interest in the forum during the heavy inundation of ladyboys, fem boys and boys with titties pix period,

but amazingly the forum has swung to the very masculine Tawan guys with lots of postings and pix.

So easy to put pests, stalkers, obsessive ranters on IGNORE. If someone doesn't like weewilliewillie , just ignore.

So simple !

Just shows what an Idiot you are Willie. I post more photos the anyone here and the majority of them are of a type you like although not Tawans. So you miss out on all of them.

And by the way in all your years you have contributed ZERO photos!!!

.  I find it interesting when someone dislikes, as much as when someone likes.

I remember fondly few occasions when I announced or even presented to ChristianPFC my actual favorite boy and  comment invariably was ' too fat', what's wrong with that?

I felt secure enough with my choice without any need to be defensive with a bonus of not worrying about boy being snatched from me

Certainly there is enough prejudice in the world against all Gays, we should keep our prejudices of types to ourselves.

If you are so concerned about prejudice, why aren't you hooking up with that fiftysomething (or even fortysomething), overweight gay in your neighborhood?  Why are you flying halfway around the world looking for slim guys young enough to be your grandson?  The last time I looked ageism is certainly a form of prejudice.

Maybe some ought to consider being more supportive of the scene you come here for instead of putting it down all the time.  That is, of course, unless you want to see the reason you come here disappear forever.  While I blame mismanagement and failure to do much of anything to attract customers for the eroding away of the bar scene,  if it eventually disappears completely and you want to know who is at least partially responsible, if you're a put-down poster, look in a mirror.

What has making comments (positive, negative or indifferent) on a few random pics of guys of different nationalities and from all walks of life (not just prostitutes) on the Internet have to do with the decline of on-site Thai gay prostitution (the "scene" as you call it)?  That's like saying I'm an intolerant control freak who can't appreciate the views of others because I've seen YouTube videos of intolerant, abusive, control freaks in action.

If somebody bothers you to the extent that you feel the need to call them an idiot, why not use the ignore feature for that poster?  You don't help your cogent argument that some of the negative comments ought to be omitted by doing the opposite.

I gather from Bobs quote that the obsessed stalker is once again following my postings with the usual ugly hatred.

It's amazing how ugliness in the body and soul permeate ones postings. Pure ugliness from the ugliest just continues

as the moderator sees no problem with stalkers spewing endless ugly rants.

So simple to ignore but when one is obsessed all they can do is wait for a chance to spew more hatred. My complaints to

the moderator have not been addressed but this obsessed bully cannot control anyone except some poor fem boys who

only want real breasts to make their lives complete. They put up with extreme ugliness. And to think he invited me to eat dinner

with him. As if anyone could have an appetitive facing ugliness personified. About now, the moderator usually steps in and

deletes all this garbage selectively and without comment.

This shows how little you actually know about fem boys or gay boys in Thailand. There is a huge difference between them and ladyboys and also a difference between those and guys who want breasts. I realize that you may only fantasize about manly men. But, just because a guy is not a aggressive masculine top, does not mean they want breasts.  I mean, after all, neither you nor I want breasts.

People are attracted to what they are attracted to.  But, making comments that are negative based on that, to me at least, is not needed.

I don't like old men for lovers. But, I do like them for friends.  I don't like fat men for lovers. But, I do like them for friends. However, you will never hear me say if a photo is posted of an older fat guy, "that guy is ugly. I'd never go with him."

Having lived a long life and in many places, I am always amazed at what people find attractive in someone.  I had one of the sexiest guys in NYC who use to love picking up taxi drivers and blowing them in their cab or fucking them or vice versa.  It was his fetish.  He would charge well over 500 USD per hour for others to have sex with him. But, for a taxi driver it was always free.

This is why Heinz makes so many varieties.

That is not what I said at all.  What I said about the pics comments is I don't see the point - and I still don't. Like I said, maybe those who are so keen to let us all know which pics they don't like ought to take a look in a mirror before they start criticizing other people's looks.

What I said about the decline of the gay scene - whether prostitution is involved or not - is in part due to the put-down posts, many of which are embellished, about the bars and venues.  And that has everything to do with it.  It isn't just a few of us who post regularly reading those comments.  Look at the view numbers.

Do you think people are not influenced by those comments?  Instead of people posting about what they don't like about the gay scene, how about posting what they do like.  Most gay farang are coming here precisely because of the gay scene, and yet some of those people seem to want to do everything they can to undermine it.  Maybe that makes sense to you.  It makes none to me.

I agree 100%.

Most hookup places around the world have moved online.  Even the gay scene in NYC, which is great, is not what it use to be.  Prague is a shadow as is Amsterdam and Barcelona. But, Thailand is still a great place to find guys in person at bars and venues.  I hope we don't ruin that for ourselves and others by being so negative all the time.

If I were running an escort agency and my business in part depends on older fat guys, I wouldn't be uncharitable in my comments towards them too.

So avoiding old or fat men (or anyone one isn't sexually attracted to) for sex is fine because it is a matter of 'preference' but making comments about them on an anonymous board is a cardinal sin.  Nice one.

"I like old and fat men as friends."  Another leap of logic.  Perhaps I'm old-fashioned, but I like people who are nice and easy to get along with, regardless of age or body weight.

You're the one who says there's a link so it's up to you to prove causation.  I love Thailand and if the boys and girls are moving on to other types of more stable employment, then I'm happy for them.  If the commercial sex venues which you refer to as the gay scene close because of changing lifestyles, better economic prospects for the locals and changing patterns of consumption, then so be it.  We live with changes all the time and we learn to adapt.  I for one do not need the go-go and host bars to socialize in.  If wanted to buy sex, then as Michael says, there's plenty of it on the Internet.

I think you might have missed the point I was trying to make.  I apologize for this.  I should have been more clear.  Next time, I'll write in a way in which you understood my point.

We're a bit off topic (which maybe in this thread is a good thing?) but happen to agree that the gay scene all over the world is less than what it used to be.....and likely (due to various reasons - internet hookups, less prejudice against gays with no need to go to separate "gay" places, and probably a myriad of other reasons) will continue into the future.  Somewhat, perhaps, like the use/need of gay message boards?

But I hardly think any of that real phenomena has any significant relationship at all to a very small minority of comments made on this or any other gay message board.

[Without thinking of the consequences, I'm sorry I quoted Firecat who's certainly been a big asset to this board; but, by doing so, I allowed somebody....ok, weewillie.....to spew a few over-the-top and, in my view, unfounded charges.  Look, folks, please attempt to make your points without personally attacking somebody else on the board.  I, for one, don't give a flying fuck if you do or don't like another poster or his posts.]

The better word would have been correlation.

Since, as you say, it's up to me, be informed that I couldn't care less whether you believe it or not or whether you want proof.  You want proof?  Good.  Prove I'm wrong.

You just don't get what is happening in Thailand at all. The change in GoGo Bars closing has absolutely nothing to do with any great economic progress or changing pattern of consumption. Do you really think all the wonderful jobs at 7/11 for 9000 baht a month or Front Desk at a Hotel for 12,000 baht a month has made any real difference to the boys who come to Pattaya or who already live in BKK.

There are more boys then ever in the Sex Trade but they don't need to parade themselves on stage in underwear or commit sex acts for the joy of visitors.

They have moved to Romeo, Hornet , Jack'd, Grindr etc etc etc.

There are more boys then ever available in Pattaya over the last 15 years of my visits. They just don't work in Bars!

I am glad in fact that you did because Willie has to read the most important point. When someone like him who has never contributed even 1 photo to this site , should never criticize a photo that another member has shared! And he is not alone!!!

I have contributed more photos to this site then anyone except possibly in the past Fountainhall. There have been many photos of boys who were not to my taste but I have never posted a negative word about those photos or the members who might enjoy that type.

That is just a matter of simple respect a word that Willie does not understand.

If I am the ugliest person on the planet I still have the right to comment about the looks of everyone else on the planet.  One thing has nothing to do with the other.

And what if I like to be on the internet exchanging opinions with fellow posters about the pictures displayed here?  A chat like this will have positive and negative comments, that's part of the fun.  The only one to rightfully complain of negative comments on a picture is the guy shown in the picture. And even this is relative, because a guy who models for pictures posted on the internet should be prepared to see all kinds of comments.   So we are not hurting anyone by making our comments.

I totally disagree.

Before I came to this forum I had found the blog of ChristianPFC and read it with interest. It has helped me and I thank Christian for the work he takes by writing it.   If you happen to read it, you will find a good mix of criticism and praise of many gay places. THIS IS WHAT HELPS US, WHAT WE WANT:  HONEST OPINIONS !!!!  And if you think that the only honest opinions are those you agree with,  you have a problem.

It would be dumb if we should only write praises about the scene.  Leave this for the owners of the places.
