In my experience the latter type is more in demand (I know, I know, Vinapu and others prefer the first type, but among all Farang in Thailand they are a minority, I think 20% goes for first type, 80% for second type). Economic law says: what is more in demand is more expensive. I learned that in school. Why doesn't that work here? How much more info do I need to supply aside from attractive and muscular or athletic.... Not sure how to break that down any more... I prefer guys who know what a gym looks like...who are attractive...I like nice asses... But she is right, prices are outrageous. Some years ago, when Saranrom street trade was busy, I used to get boy from there for 500 Baht instead of paying 300 Baht (at that time) to look at boys. Christian gave you the basic answers on Feb 28 about rates you can expect and numerous threads about various Bars. Each day there will be different types in each Bar. You just have to go in and look. You failed to say if you wanted Tops, Bottoms or versatile and of course whether you are into massages or just like bedroom time. Also if you want Big Muscles then your choice is more limited to Tawan and until this rant you never said what cities you planned on visiting. I'm aiming at paying the same rate since premium bar does not equal premium off. I my case from the bars quoted my experience with Tawan boys was big time premium with only few exceptions, from Dreamboys mixed, one of my best was from there but also one definitely the worst from there as well. Jupiter very disappointing but a bit of sun shone on last trip when I offed from there again and decided to give them another chance in future. Boys from premium bars my be expecting and quoting higher tips but they are opened to bargaining and few went very fast from 5000 to 3000 which is what I'd pay . It is why I like to set financial details while still in the bar but have few cases when boys wanted more than agreed at end of appointment i.e 3500 or 4000 instead of agreed 3000 for long time . And that's the reason why I don't frequent expensive bars at all, and other bars in Bangkok Soi Twilight only a few times per year. I don't want to start negotiations with "In Pattaya, I pay 1000 for short time, would you go with me for 1000?". The answer would probably be "Then go to Pattaya!" and that's what I do! I can see no justification to pay someone more for the same service, just because he works in an expensive bar.
