But a afternoon is non productive time for them so pay should not, imho, be over $200.R, about the same if you were ordering in off Netgay!  I

That is smart thinking.

Please, educate me. Their "productive time" is, I am guessing, sauna time. Which I understand is between 5 PM and 9PM, right? I am not confident about anything I am saying, remember my first sex trip to Brazil will be in December. If I am thinking right. any time before 5PM and after 9PM would be GP happy hour, when you can have the boys for multiple hours paying them not much more than a couple of sauna fucks.

If I am still correct, that means that the best thing to do is to sample their talents in the sauna, and then choose the best ones to spend the night or to make a morning or noon appointment the next day. Is that the right strategy?

You got it! that pretty much been my experience!  First, imho, i would never invite someone for a overnight or even a hour at my apt., if i had not met them first at the sauna! e.g. i learned that lesson years ago in Prague when i had found a Czech porn star online and had him come to the hotel based only on what i saw in his films!  Big Mistake!! but i digress....

1) Never make a morning appt., the guys typically get up late morning with lunch being their first meal! so i would plan a 1:00pm lunch date if you want to or just meet at your hotel or apt.

Its amazing how many people ask the same questions over and over again without bothering to read any of the posts...

Rates for sessions in the saunas have not varied much since I started going to the saunas about 15 years ago...

The only thing that has changed is the exchange rate with the real going appreciating and depreciating...

Boys have come and gone (while some are still there) but the rate for a session has always been about the same with some variances based on...

How in demand the guy is....Is he a rockstar?

How much chemistry one has with the said guy he hires

How often you are in the saunas

Do you speak Portuguese?

How often do you hire the said guy...

100R is about the basic rate for a session...And they don't charge by the hour (rooms arent available for an hour unless you pay more)

Hi all.

New update: I was at Pointe 202 last night, Wednesday. Pretty busy. Lots of garatos. Much less clients. The typical story.

I approached one attractive guy. He immediately accepted my offer of 100 Rs. Good times.

Second guy I approached later that evening asked for 150 Rs. I immediately offered 100 Rs (of course). He actually said no, so I quickly stopped the negotiations & walked away. No hard feelings on either of us. But before we got to negotiations, he shared that he has been an online escort and had never before escorted at a sauna but he admitted to having to adjust to the very different atmosphere of the sauna culture.  He looked slightly uncomfortable, but I might be reading into that. So here is an example of a garato demanding and unrelenting of asking for a high price.

I (quickly) found a different (hot) guy who readily accepted a 100 R offer for a programa. More good times.

Tonight was at Logoa in Sao Paulo. Two programas. First countered my 100 Rs with 150. I pleasantly but immediately said no, its 100 Rs or nothing. He immediately relented to my 100 Rs offer. Good times yet again. Second guy immediately agreed to my first offer of 100 Rs and didnt counter with a higher price. Great guy.

Btw, I have tipped no one this week. Everyone seems accommodating, eager, pleasant and genuinely trying to give good service. Gosh, I love the Brazils sauna scene.

If you are trying keeping track of my experiences to see trends: 9 programas over 5 nights. ALL costed me 100 Rs each. They typically know by the time the conversation gets to negotiations that I'm an American. Not sure if that plays a role. And I speak no Portuguese, btw.  Several countered with 150 Rs, but only one guy would not back down from his 150 price.  And although he was hot, there were many others who were available (and just as hot) and accepted 100 Rs without difficulty.

I never ask/request/demand they cum.

So, there you go. 3 different saunas over 2 cities with 9 programas all costing 100 Rs.

Hope this info helps.

I think that is the guy who I took to the room yesterday at Point. I knew him from Porto Alegre, there he works just with an internet  add, he admitted to me that he was feeling a bit umcomforble with the environment, but I have to say that he is a really nice guy, very friendly. And Yes, he was not really willing to accept just 100, but I paid slightly more.

Yes, that's him. He told me was from PA and had only done escorting thru internet advertising.

May I ask how much you specifically paid him?

Thread title: "Prices Are Way Up For The Hot Boys at Club 117"

Something does not compute with the thread title!

Is there another way to define"way up"

Over the years, prices have not materially increased in Brazil.

Such a bargain we could never find anywhere else.

The sauna prices is what has gotten me, when you leave (especially if you've been drinking) the bill can easily get up there....not to mentions when it is NOT free cabin night, imagine people that do several programmas??

When I 1st went in 1999, programas were 50 reis and stayed that price for a long time, even at 100-150 is still a bargain. But when you calculate the per diem after flight, hotel and everything else...it adds up, especially on short trips, no?

What you wrote is correct.

The title of the thread does not include travel expense and multiple encounters.

What I wrote says - the title of the thread is false.

"Prices Are Way Up For The Hot Boys at Club 117" = false

Plain and simple.

My currency is now worth 40-50% more than at the time of my first visit, coincidentally around the time the OP began this thread. At that time, most of our non-BRZ currencies had been steadily gaining strength over the previous 5 years and have not dipped below the exchange value that existed at the time this thread commenced, or below the 10-year average.

I was completely flabbergasted and entirely sold on the cost of hires at my first (relatively priciest) visit.

However, my currency is now worth 25-30% more than its poorest exchange among my visits over the past 44 months. It is again hovering at 40-50% better than my first visit. These fluctuations override price variations. The mean or median programa cost is likely consistent over the same period of time.

Now then, these differentials pale in comparison to the spread between the lowest bid the OP never paid because it was refused, $R50, and the highest quote he agreed to pay, $R200 (400%). The thread title never worked at all.

Maybe you’re using that “new math”, but your very first post at this forum 3 years ago stated that you first visited Rio and the saunas 10 years ago in 2008. That’s NOT “about 15 years ago”.

You also claimed in that first post in 2015 that you were in your “early 30s” (that is commonly known as the ages between 30-33). If you were in your early 30s in 2015, 15 years ago, you would’ve been 15 - 18 years old as a client at a Brazilian sauna. Even if it were just 10 years ago, you would’ve been 20 - 23 as a sauna client visiting Rio.

Perhaps you just made an innocent typo three years ago? Or did you make the typo now?

I resurrected this old thread because each year travguy asks the prices in the saunas. But in this thread, he went the opposite way and said that they are way up. They are not, and I don’t know why he said it. While it is true that guys will ask newbies for 200, they quickly accept the counter-offer of 100,. Last night I had a guy ask 150, but agreed to 100. However, he was so good that I paid him the 150 anyway,, my choice.
