If they wanted to see what my currency looks like, which is a very strange request in itself, I would have just told them to take their phones out and google it.

    You were just being yourself.
  3. Dolly Parton, who had been struggling with poor health for sometime, has died. She was 80-years-old. We will always love you, Dolly. Rest in peace. ❤️🕊 https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cz9xdl4g25zo
  4. With due respect, wouldn't an hourly pass make more sense at this point...?🤔 I mean, your beneficiaries have been waiting a long time... 😉😏
  5. The POK Model Pattaya 2026 will be staged this evening, 24th August, in front of M2M Bar in Supertown, Jomtien Complex. It promises to be an entertaining, fun-filled night. Event proper starts around 7 PM. See you there!
  6. Don't flash them your business class boarding pass; pointing to your colostomy bag will get you through a lot faster! Safe travels. 🫶
  7. At least you're honest about it. That's another thing worth noting if one's following the recommendations religiously and clinging to every word. Different people have different expectations; for some, a quick rub and tug is equivalent to a dozen flights of ecstacy - they haven't been touched for so long that being touched at all is like having multiple orgasms! For others, like Olddaddy, being gangbanged by a team of hairy and horny Punjabi hockey players is mere foreplay! And speaking of Olddaddy, don't forget that humans have a tendency to embellish, and one should read these trip reports with a bucketful of salt. In over twenty years of my association with Thailand, I've noticed that for many farang the fleshpots of Thailand are sacrosanct of which they're very protective and would baulk at the slightest criticism of them. They're the centre of the universe for these guys, not just for sex but for social activity and companionship too.
  8. Meow! Upscale as the Americans would say. He clearly watches a lot of porn in his shoebox thus most of his imaginary friends are pornstars. It's when he attempts to combine it with an imaginary upper class lifestyle that he falters.
  9. The confession box? Groundbreaking. 🙄🥱
  10. Tart-land? Hoe Hoe Hoe Land? Harlotsville? Neverland? (modelled after Sunee Plaza😉)
  11. Yup, looks like you'll have zero home court advantage in just about everything. How far is the American Embassy from where you'll be living and where is the nearest hospital that is best equipped to manage any existing ailments that you may have? Any social clubs with English being spoken that may appeal to your interests? What are you going to do when Cam is at work for at least eight hours a day? How're you going to get around when he's at work? You've mentioned going to the library a few times. Are there any interesting libraries in Battambang? Don't we all? 😉
  12. Think of the system as a casino where the house always wins. It may let the customer win once in a while but only enough times to get him addicted and coming back. Swagger in as a high roller and you'll be marked as one. If you keep your head high but start small and know your limits, it can be fun and remember, it's all fun and entertainment, not love. Nothing more, nothing less. Can you build relationships in that environment? Sure you can but it'll only last as your last tip, or chip, as it were. It's really quite amazing how the Thais have turned a cluster of brothels into an amusement park; if Disneyland were to add another themed attraction, Patpong or Pattaya would be it for it can truly be the happiest place on Earth - for you. 😏
  13. @aaroninatl Personally, I don't think one needs a guide to tag on to but I understand that having company could be fun for some people and may help to calm freshman jitters. Just remember that you're walking into a system and to a large extent it's the system that will guide you through. It is set up to welcome and accommodate you and your desires be it sex, the boyfriend experience, social encounters and conversation, whatever. It's entertainment, it's fun and the Thais, as hosts, do it very well. You've got the advantage of time to explore and, yes, to make mistakes. Just remember to learn from them and never be afraid to walk away from something or someone that doesn't sit well with your instincts. There's always another guy, another venue, another day. Above all, love and respect yourself.
  14. Ooh interesting...were they rocket scientists in Mandalay?
  15. No Hong Kong? Quite a few who were admitted before 1997 as I imagine you were sought registration in Hong Kong too. And was it Superior Courts back then, not Senior Courts? As you know, we aren't a divided profession in Malaysia and Singapore, although most lawyers do one type of work or the other.
  16. OMG! That looks horrible, poor guy. He's going to have nightmares for life and any future boyfriend he may have won't even be able to bring him a hot mug of Ovaltine in bed without him freaking out. Why do they keep harping about the $500 a night hotel? It's not that grand. Do they know how much a night that the Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok costs? Or the Capella? Tell them, @Olddaddy, tell them. https://www.dailymail.com/news/article-16057095/amp/ING-Australian-french-hotel-attack-saucepan-water.html
  17. Should we call in The Exorcist?
  18. You'd better hurry as there may not be enough food left if the customers in the last pic are typical.
  19. Yes, good luck finding a native Pali speaker these days as it was last used as a spoken language in the first century BCE. Together with Sanskrit, its usage is now mainly in royal language and ceremonies, liturgy and literature. Personally I wouldn't casually say the full name of Bangkok isn't Thai because of one feature but, more respectfully, that it has Khmer, Pali and Sanskrit roots. You're welcome. Glad to see that you're studying and remember there are no mistakes, only lessons, and lessons are repeated until they're learned, even the obvious ones.
  20. 3807503d189f412cc51a402925eb1e23.mp4 No, of course you wouldn't. You're doing it for love.
  21. Yes, unfortunately. But he eats local food for 20 Baht and wants to bargain it down to 15, is extremely fussy and belongs to the notorious 300-Baht-for-boys club!
  22. Oh my! TWO paragraphs? Are you turning into PeterRS? Once you start writing three I'm going to send for help. I use English and British in the above context purely as descriptors of nationality, not qualification. We're talking about Americans here, the majority whom don't even have passports and would need to find "overseas" on a map! What about that ghastly Suella Braverman? She recently described herself as English! British, yes. But English? I say go fry your papadams! And I don't have to tell you that solicitor has quite a different meaning in the States. 😉
  23. Hmmm, Ah-me-ri-kans could say English lawyers who are also members of the New York Bar (or any other US state bar) are English attorneys, no? 😅 For example, the handsome international law barrister Alex Haines who's also called to the New York and Washington DC Bars. 😉 And what about the beautiful and brilliant Amal Clooney? She was called to the New York Bar long before she became a barrister in the UK. A British attorney, surely. 😛
