@bkkmfj2648 is. Humble and doesn't feel the need to have the last word everytime or talk himself up even though he seems to have done well for himself and travelled the world. By the way, the former Sun Bar shop-lot is now available for rent. Here's your golden opportunity to open a bar, @Olddaddy. Don't wait; put your money where your arse is NOW! I just received a PM from @bkkmfj2648that the P&P site has been taken over by Sun Bar. It's a shame that @bkkmfj2648has stopped posting on this forum as he is a venerable repository of current information on Pattaya and many other places in Southeast Asia. His thread on retiring in Vietnam was informative and fun to read. I hope he will post on the forums again. Sun Bar has already put up their shop sign at the former P&P site. It's okay; many of these sex workers have more honour and pride in their work than the skanky customers who try to squeeze every last Baht out of them.

I personally don't care what @ChristianPFC pays for the kind of guys he gets at the kind of places he frequents if it's a case of a willing buyer and a willing seller. But if he tries to wrangle too much of a bargain and take advantage of a poor man's desperate circumstances as he is wont to do, I wouldn't be surprised if one day he's going to end up on the front pages of The Thaiger as another farang casualty in Thailand and that day wouldn't have come too soon. What I do take issue with is his unhelpful comparisons and baseless analyses. Venues and working boys/girls aren't created equal and one simply can't compare the guys at the higher end establishments and the street hustlers he meets and squeezes and say that customers are paying too much for the former. The greed and cruelty aside, it's simply misleading and misrepresentative to newbies reading this forum. He should confine his remarks to the shitholes he visits and is accustomed to "all over Thailand".

The feedback I receive from my two decades of volunteering to promote safer sex among and provide mental health support to sex workers and vulnerable populations in Malaysia and Thailand is that sex workers don't generally charge on the basis of a customer's age, looks and/or language ability. If they did, most of the elderly farang would have been priced out of the market following the Asian "invasion" of the last ten years or so. They say looks, age and/or fluency in Thai don't necessarily compensate for a serious personality flaw. They would be happier with an easygoing, easy-to-please, jolly sixty-year-old and be done in forty-five minutes than with a prickly and fussy forty-year-old cheapskate bum who counts every baht and every minute.

To whom? Mother Teresa's Charity?

Initially I read it as you did but I think what he meant was he was looking for options that we gays could explore. 😅 @boyjt Welcome to the forum. Take sometime to browse through the forum and you'll find the answers that you're looking for.

It's been replaced by P&P hasn't it?

No wonder the bar has thrived! 😏

No, it doesn't. I don't know how you came up with this comparison. Have you ever worked in your life; do you understand the concept of income and wages at all? I find your remarks offensive and insulting to both sex workers and their customers. From your comments here and in the past I find nothing "First World" about you at all. And what is this "order" you speak of? In Thailand, which is a developing country, Thai customers pay the same as foreigners, other factors remaining equal (for eg the venue, type of service, looks of sex worker, etc) as do customers from other developing countries. The customer's country of origin has got nothing to do with it. And at the high-end venues where the customers are almost exclusively Thai and a smattering of other Asians, they pay considerably more. You just don't know about them because they're out of your league. Boo-hoo, what a pity. I hear the go go bars in Bangkok miss your custom desperately and are begging for you to come back. 🙄 Implicit in your comments is that all bars and sex workers are created equal. They aren't. Comparing risky street trade to, say, the guys at Moonlight or The Residences is like saying a skanky, slum-shoebox-dwelling German is equivalent to a grand British dame living it up in a Le Meridien suite. Quelle horreur!

@jimmie50 Prioritise your health and make sure you're fit and healthy before boarding that long flight home. But, of course, enjoy your final few days in Bangkok with Cam and it's okay if you can't meet the others. There's always the next visit! Quality over quantity! By the way, "What are you doing?", "Have you eaten or not?", "Where have you been?" and "Where are you going?" are very common Thai greetings. You don't have to provide specifics in response; a cursory reply would suffice, followed by whatever it is you'd really like to talk about. My favourite is "I haven't seen you for a long time!" and I'd tease them with a detailed reply of the number of times we'd seen one another recently. It tends to stump them initially, followed by a big laugh. 😆

Then get a one-bedroom. Just make sure it's on a high floor and has a balcony big enough for you to install a trampoline...you know for those boring rainy days when you're stuck at home...

Sorry to hear you've been unwell. Did you forget your Morning After pill again? You must remember to take it within 72 hours of your last...you know. 😉 Give your body a bit of rest and get well soon. 💪🫶

I've asked this question on this forum before but didn't receive an answer: what's preventing the guys from getting legal? I know many young men and women from neighbouring countries who are working legally in Thailand (visa and work permit) in the services, entertainment and construction industries.
-
Ooh, thanks for the clarification. Not one of my favourites. Actually none of them are although I've found Hotmale, Moonlight, Circus and Banana Bars to be a bit more fun than the others. Aren't Midnight and Dragon (the one with tabletop dancing) on street level?
-
Isn't Dreamboys at street level/on the ground floor? Might you be thinking of Big Pussy White Boys (they keep changing the name 🤷)?
-
What do you mean by "ghost properties"? Does it have anything to do with Pattaya being described as the Land of the Living Dead? 🤔 There is a Thai documentary made about it.
-
You mean like a BA in sodomy and a masters in the Kamasutra?
-
Perhaps @jimmie50 got them mixed up with the straight up butch and macho dancers at Sunee Bar? I hear they're gonna do a special dance number in memory of Chuck Norris this weekend. Expect a lot of pistol grabbing. 😏

I wasn't offended; I was just worried Aunty Vin might be having a seizure. 😅

It's precisely because life is too short and precious that we can't be cavalier about the issues. And we should ask ourselves why and how resistance fighters like Hamas and Hezbollah came about and why they have acted as they have? Did they even exist prior to 1948? The Christians, Jews and Muslims lived in relative peace before then. And you may want to check again who's actually been funding Hamas previously in order to undermine the Palestinian Authority and prevent the creation of a viable Palestinian state. Prior to this illegal war against them, for which the US are still mumbling off the reasons and have no exit plan, Iran hadn't attacked anyone. Can anyone say the same about the US, Israel and the UK? Civilian deaths? Oh perleez. 🙄 Anyone with any connection to centuries of western settler-colonial aggression - a tradition the genocidal Israeli regime is keeping well and alive in Palestine - should think twice before bringing up the issue of civilian deaths allegedly perpetrated by others.

Hi Louis! Welcome to the forum. I can understand your anxiety and don't find your "goal too ambitious". The fact that you're putting yourself out there may encourage others to do the same. I haven't used any but I've heard from friends that there are professional escort agencies out there with their own websites. The quality of services, as is in the nature of this business, varies, and prices tend to be higher than hiring a sex worker off the hook-up sites such as Grind'r. There is no scoring system or official reviews as far as I know as this is not how people primarily hire sex workers in Thailand's highly established commercial sex industry. As for safety, take the same precautions as you would any random meeting from the web: video call to verify their identity and meet in a public place to suss them out. Don't worry; nobody's going to notice. This sorta thing is very common in any big city in Thailand. I can totally understand it if you do not want to partake in the overt commercial sex scenes in Patpong and Pattaya; they're not for everybody. While there are plenty of crusty prostitutes, not everybody is a seasoned punter or wishes to be one! 😅 We all come from different backgrounds with different sensibilities and levels of comfort when it comes to trying out new things. That said, may I suggest you start off by going people watching in Silom Soi 4 and getting your feet wet a little, so to speak. Go earlier in the evening to, say, The Balcony, before it gets too busy and the waiters won't have time to chat with you. Soak in the atmosphere and if you find it all too overwhelming, leave. No biggy. And when you feel a bit more comfortable, take in a show at one of the busier show bars in Bangkok such as Freshboys where you can get lost in the crowd. Just don't tell anyone you're a newbie and ward off bothersome mama-sans by telling them you're there to watch the show. You may stick to your original plan of hiring an escort from an agency or you could dip your toes a little in the glitzier manifestations of the commercial sex industry. There is no right or wrong. Will you feel you've made a mistake or an awkward mis-step at some point? Sure, who hasn't? Just learn from them...or shrug them off...before trying again. Good luck and have fun!

I know. I started it. 🙄

What is "BEEP BEEP BEEP"? Secondly, are you a forum moderator? I wasn't the one who started posting on the illegal war against Iran in this thread and yet you didn't tell them to start a new thread? If the forum moderators - whoever they are - would like to move all posts that which do not strictly relate to the original post in this thread to another thread, I would have no objections.

Perhaps they don't want you as a guest because you're too famous and your groupies follow you wherever you go - and the hotel likes to keep a low profile and remain simple. 😸
